PPC2003 under US T-Mobile? - MDA, XDA, 1010 Software Upgrading

Hi all,
I'd really like to upgrade my XDA to WM2003, but I noticed that the freq. switcher is only available for the older OS. So, this means US T-Mobile users cannot upgrade yet, right?
I'm sorry if this answer is somewhere else already, but I looked for nearly an hour and didn't see it.
Thanks in advance!

the latest versions are builds from tmobile so you do not need the frequency switcher. follow the link in the post about jeffs rom kitchen and you can make your rom anyway you like.

Looking for a new rom

Hello all. I am new to this again. I am in the US Army and have been gone a while. I have a Sprint touch diamond and upgraded my rom to the 2.0 version. I am realy interested in an even better rom, possibly with the wm 6.5 that I saw on youtube. Can anyone point me to the correct ROM for my sprint phone? And is there a tutorial for this somewhere? The HTC download was pretty easy, are they all like that? Thanks.
Mainly all of the roms here are for gsm... Here's a similar thread, follow it
thank you...

Confused as to which rom

hi
i was given a telus(canada) htc-p4000 that is completely stock(wm5.0).
what i want to do is update to windows mobile 6.1,i am not really concerned
with gps ,if it works ok, if not that's ok also.
i have read the faq and have been searching the site for 3 days and i cannot yet understand which rom i am supposed to download.so many different roms to choose from.
i can find no telus specific rom or program to flash my phone.
if anyone would like to point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.
i read the faq/looked at the wiki and am still confused.
thanks in advance
jeff
Moved as not ROM Development.
Best rom/radio combo for p4000 telus
hi
i have the 2.40 bootloader on the phone and i have flashed to the original telus software.
what i would like to know from a p4000 user is what is the best radio/rom version to use on my phone.
there are so many versions and none seem to be specifically for telus phones.
can you just pick the newest radio version and rom and flash away?
thanks from a noob
Yes i use radio 3.42.40 and then pick whichever rom you like best

Tmobile HD2 needs HTC updates or not?

Apologies if I didn't search enough, but I was wondering if the stock ROM that the TMobile US HD2 came with already had the hot fixes installed that are currently on the HTC website (i.e. camera fix, sms fix, calendar view, etc). Thanks in advance for your responses.
which tmo? the us one or the one everyone else has? if its the us, then no, everyone else, yes. (well, i think maybe germany has a new tmo rom out that has the fixes built in. more info needed to answer you)
So stock US Tmobile ROM has the fixes already part of it or I need to download them from the website?
No, you have rom 2.10, all the hotfixes on the site are for 1.66 or lower. If you select the update, and read the info on it, it tells you what rom versions it is for.
Thanks for your time!
Kind of confused ... I am guessing 2.10 has all the fixes included... it would not make sense to go back to 1.66

wm 6.5.3

hi
I searched wm site, but couldn't find any information how to update hd2 wm6.5 to 6.5.3.
I don't want to flash any custom rom. Prefer to stay with official rom.
Any solutions?
there is only one solution, cooked rom.
@OP: Are you in the US and on T-Mobile?
in Turkey. unlocked.
The T-Mobile website has this file available for download for free, but you have to be a T-Mobile subscriber. The download asks for your IMEI number as well, so I'm not sure if this makes a difference. I suppose I could try to zip up the rom installer for you and upload somewhere, but I don't know what kinds of issues you'd run into, installing a US based rom on your device. You may just want to wait until a version is released in your locale.
Let me know your thoughts and I'll figure something out with you.
can anybody advice if that will cause any problem for making T-mobile update to a non-Tmobile device?
yes you can run tmous rom on regular hd2.
no, there is not a 6.5.3 official rom. if that is the implication two posts up, it is incorrect.
I have found on my experience that cooked ROMĀ“s from great Chefs at XDA are always much better than stock ones, sai that and if you want to try them, read the sticky posts on ROM section.
If you want to go back again to stock you can do it with no problem.
Good luck,
I think Windows Mobile kinda scrapped the project its finish but seems like carriers don't care about updating their devices since not much change. That I know the only device running 6.5.3 its the sony ericsson Aspen and some motorola rugged phone for sprint.

[Q] How to install a Froyo Rom?

Hi there,
I was just wondering how to install a Froyo Rom (With A2SD Support, and 2.1 Android Version). I was wondering about this because they're saying something about "Radio Versions" and I have absolutely no idea what that means. Is it to connect to your mobile carrier? Mine's Virgin Mobile Canada, does it make a difference? I really need to know, because I can't take my chances with this phone. How do I know what radio versions I need for the Rom? Do I install it like a normal Rom? I also want one that has root access. Does that make a difference? Thanks for the help because I'm really confused at the moment. Thanks.
PS: I've searched everywhere for a 2.1 Froyo Rom but still can't find one, can someone please give me the link? The reason I don't want 2.2 is because the last time I used a 2.2 Froyo Rom I couldn't get reception to my carrier (Virgin Mobile), and I know I did something wrong, so I'm asking for advice now. Thanks.

Hi, firstly, please read as much as you can before posting
Now, the reason you can't find 2.1 Froyo is because there is no such ROM. Froyo is a codename for Android 2.2 ROMs, just as 2.1 ROMs have codename Eclair etc...
So if you want Froyo, you want 2.2.
As I have told you in the other thread, read stickies in Development. To get root access, you have to root first - not sure if you have done that, but anyway, read some howtos on rooting any other techniques and you will find out how to fllash a ROM.
Abot the Bell canada thing, I think you are on WCDMA there, which means you have to have a Radio for that - that's what the fuzz is about(about different versions of radios and their receptions). But I'm not sure if you even need a special radio, you'll have to find out in development.
Here are STICKIES
Good luck!
