I know: Since yesterday that's the version that the kitchen installs if you select the 4.00.05 ROM. So that problem is fixed, so I would make a new ROM and distribute that.
understood and rebuilt rom
uploading now ..................

The upgrader gets the ROM from adaptROM, and it builds a ROM it knows your device will like. So don't believe what 'Programme A' tells you after adaptROM has ran.
Ahhh, I wondered why I was seeing 3.16.
Anybody know what the differences in the 4.00.05 rom are from .01?
Thanks for the info, I just got worried since the 4.00.01 upgrade reported 4.00. I tried downloading the newer version but it was only 5MB, so I suppose its still being uploaded, I'll just wait for it to finish.
BTW, I only started to post now, but I've been reading through this site for a couple of months now since i got my XDA, and I just have to take my hat off to you guys... YOU RULE!
And I almost forgot (sorry about that) thanks to Ali for making it a whole lot easier to acquire the latest versions.
Why dont you all just go to Jeffs ROM Kitchen and build your own rom?

valheru,
Thanks for the tip, I will check it out.
FYI to Developers in ppc2003 these programs do not work:
EasyTweak
PhonExt
Thanks,

If you quit it and start again, you'll see you can still use the single-handed dialing feature, the distinctive ringing feature is indeed non-functional in WM2003. I'll make a note...
Hi XDA developer Peter Poelman
I noticed that PocketMPV vor 2003 is not included even if you select it.
After transfering the rom there is not Pocket MPV plaver in the device.
Can you fix that?
regards,
Silver
It is in the rom (check the windows dir).
It just did not make a shortcut in the programs directory
Hi,
Yes, thanx I just found it...
Does anybody know if it is possible to get wmodem into WM2003?
regards,
Silver
Can't seem to get speakerphone to work on this version.
Where can i download the 4.00.11 rom version since Jeff kitchen is down?
it's also not available on yorch kitchen!
cheers,
Yann
yah, jeff's kitchen is down and i think it is the only one with the 4.00.11 update. yorch's has 4.00.05 only
can anyone post a link to download this rom version?
best regars,
Yann
Check some of the old posts by doing a search. One of the FTP's might still be open.
hi guys
i found a rom.exe file that i had cooked in jeffz kitchen a long time ago; it also contains some extra apps from the kitchen.
just give me an ftp location to upload to and it's yours. unfortunately, my ftp server is not for public use.
cheers
ridaz
Hi all,
I need a clean ROM 4.00.11 ENG (without any apps) ... My problem is with Imov (doesn't work) and EZWAP (it doesn't have 2.5 with MMS option).
If any one have this "Vanilla" version plz send me a PM
Thanks in advance
You can still get a Cooked .11 ROM. Since those programs are in ROM and not RAM, they don't take up any space. Install the new versions of the progs you want and you will be fine.

Right!! ... but some of these files installed in the windows directory are actually ROM files now, they can't be over written by the new versions.
Also, I like that each program is installed in its default directory instead of customized installations.
No that is not correct. You CAN install newer programs of programs in ROM. How do you think Microsoft can update MSN Messenger, etc.? Try it, THEN come back and thank us b/c it will work.
Hi to all,
I just opened an FTP account to download/upload the roms.
ftp:\\server268.com
username:xda
password:myxda
you'll find on it the uncooked 4.00.11 rom verision as well as the 4.21X radio stack (a bit better than the 4.21)
Fell free to upload any other rom's.
ridaz could you upload on the FTP or send me by email your cooked 4.00.11 rom!!
regards,
Yann
I'll post my stable, email add attachment functioning no sd card erasing (knock on wood three times), phone ext working, copy of the .11 rom as soon as I find it. It has been installed for so long...
Is there a ROM Kitchen for the Wizard? I noticed over on buzzdev.net that there is a usable ROM kitchen for the Himalaya. I had heard that someone was working on one for the Wizard.
J-Man5
p.s. anyone seen hide or hair of summiter for a while?
OK here is the link for the BA ROM kitchen.

How do we go about developing this for the Wizard?
Where do the device dependant packages come from?
Anyone else working on something like this?

Hi guys,
I have been using Beta: WM 6.1 by bepe, Build 0.65 but I just tried GPS and found that I never get a GPS connection with teh BEPE Rom.
I also saw that BEPE left that rom in the current beta state and moved to something else.
What rom would you recommend as being mature, robust, and fully functioning for my Polaris?
Version 0.67
Version 0.67 is there as well, works well.
but the gps does not seem to work on .67. I cannot get a gps lock from Googlemap or Tomtom, but both worked fine with the standard ROM

The good one for me (PhamQuang ROM v1.60.08.24 CHO HTC POLARIS).
Very fast and nice. You can try. Good luck.
check my signature ;-)
Not perfect but udK is working hard and fast. In my concern, it is one of the best actual ROM.

Dear Senior Members,
Please, your help and support are required to have WM6.1.21054 Lite/Naked ROM for Polaris devices.
Can you develop Polaris ROM Kitchen to generate WM 6.1.21054 ROM, please?
We appreciate your works.

My dear .. It is 21054 not 20151. The 21054 is the leatest core. It is expected to be the last one for WM6.1. You can find it in: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=547314
It has been cooked for other devices and the members are happy with it. It is will be nice to see WM6.1.21054 for Polaris. It will be nice from you to build it.

Yes - I am familiar with the build and sorry for my finger problems with the version numbers
You may be lucky and have some chef cook this sys in, however all of the Polaris chefs (pcarvalho here and tranminhman at PDAVIET) seem to be focussing their efforts on 6.5 ROMS - looking forwards and not backwards.
6.5 - is beta. Most of people prefer using FINAL product.
But beta 6.5 is much better, faster, stablest and user friendly than 6.1 FINAL

6.5 or 6.1 - the only FINAL product for Polaris is the HTC shipped version for Polaris.
All of the cooked ROMS contain bits from here and bits from there - hacked memory, apps converted from other models and resolutions...... on our device it's all beta really.
I agree with Petulinek - don't get hung up on versions. The 6.5 release by pcarvalho is stable and great, as is the 6.1 release from chavonbravo.
Petulinek, tried 6.5... Not impressed very much, but RAM amount is LOWER then in 6.1. Not good for me.
cr1960, any advanced user ALWAYS tune & customize MS stuff to get MAXIMUM. If understand me.

Hi Zillka - I understand what you are saying, but for a lot of work I don't see any of our cooks creating any new 6.1 ROMS, so I guess you have 3 options:
1. use existing 6.1 ROM; 2. migrate to 6.5 ROM; 3. cook your own 6.1 ROM.
cr1960, tnx for advise. I'm actually diging into kitchens and cooking, but its a little bit like "programming". I'm hardware guru not programming-oriented individual. If i can get HOW to USE kitchen (or customise existing one) to build my own rom, i'll share it. itje currently testing Touch-X for Polaris jn WM 6.1, and i'm waiting for his rom.
PS: Not all cooks like to share kitchens. So i have a little choise.
