Guys i know that this subject has already been adressed many times, but it is becoming a REAL problem for some of us (like me )
I have an XDA o2 that i have upgraded using qtek rom and Radio Stack, now i want to install back o2 radio and it seems IMPOSSIBLE... it is always failing at 1%, and if i keep the Qtek radio GPRS won't work anymore with the new O2 ROM...
Any solution?

I have an O2 XDA with radio version 4.08 installed (from new). Occasionally the handsfree feature does not work (by pressing the green telephone button). Would the official Radio Stack upgrade to vers. 4.21 solve this? Is it easy/safe to do this upgrade (without ugrading the ROM)as suggested on the O2 XDA web site?
I dont think there is any link between the handsfree and the radio stack, my advice is to leave it alone if you are not experiencing any signal problems.

I would not do it. There are so many people having problems with upgrading RSU including mine.

I upgraded my RSU to O2 4.21 and experience very bad phone behavior: keeps losing the signal, and needs to restart all the time to get it back.
Could I ask you to dump you 4.08 RSU ROM and send it to me please?

I have problems with the phone side of my XDA.
It keeps turning off by itself every 20 or so minutes.
I have upgraded to
ROM 4.21.00 ENG
Radio 4.21.00
Protocol 32S54
Still no changes. PDA worksfine but phone still turns off by itself.
Any sugestions please.

what's your device type ... PW10A or B (rear sticker) ? and what's the band width of your network ?
also, does the phone work fine before turning off ?
did u upgrade the RSU or the ROM only and where/how did u do the upgrade ?
It's PD10A1 originaly on O2
The phone works fine while is on.
I upgraded via ActiveSync
First the ROM and than the RSU
Both upgrades successful
Did the same before the upgrade while using Developers special ROM.
I tried all diferent options in phone setup but no change.
Any Sugestions
this may or may not be help full but when I upgraded my radio stack on the o2 XDA 2 with the I-Mate Radio Stack, OS and Ex Rom it worked fine, however when I changed the Ex Rom with the O2 Ex Rom the phone stopped working.
The work around can be seen in this forum but I cant find it at the moment. Hope this helps?

Many of the people on this forum have upgraded using a variety of cooked or not cooked ROMS from various sources......most with excellent results....but some with significant problems / difficulties.
If you are not as brave as that (like me) I would suggest requesting the latest ROM from the QTEK Supplier in your country. I was able to get mine direct from QTEK in Switzerland...www.qtek.ch without problem.

At the time I was living in Switzerland and could not find anyone in Europe who does the upgrade so I sent it to pocketpctechs.com in USA. They have an excellent reputation and a fairly quick turn around if you are happy to pay for the express courier.

it didn't solve my problem, but the ROM upgrade worked out seemlesly
My problem is that i can't make phone calls anhymore due to no sound true de mic and the speakers, but that started in the 1.03.00 WWE version and is still there :evil:

could you please state exactly how you did the upgrade.. as per steps.
i get country id error. did you get the same? i've seen posts about downloading anothe exe file, though some say they didn't need that file.. could it be that buymobiles.net's version is for germany. hence no countryid error.

After an upgrade of the radio to Prophet_G3_G4_RadioRom_v2.69.21.exe, I cannot switch on the wifi in the communication manager.
How can I fix it ? On some other threads for other pda I saw it could happen after radio flash but not really on the prophet (I have a S200 g3 with Fantastic_b4)

I am having the same problem. Is it software related, did anyone find a solution? Or did I fry the hardware?
In my case the problem did not occur after flashing the rom (I use PDAViet v.6), but when setting up the built in voip feature.

I got the same problem in my O2 Xda Neo.
i got it to work after a few tries after upgrading to prophet touch vii. u need to turn it on & off a few times and eventually it worked. apparently it's a common wm6 bug

I had spent lot of time searching for WM6 ROM for my imate ,while doing that I came across Qtek ROM namedas WM6 . After installing i came to know that it was a WM5 rom named as WM6. But i didnt gave up and after searching XDA i got actual WM6 rom and I uploaded it. The Version details of WM6 are :
ROM version 4.0.0.0 WWE
ROM Date 2/15/07
Radio Cersion 02.47.21
Protocol Version 4.1.13.24
Ext ROM version 4.0.0.0.3 PDAViet
But now i want to downgrade back to Imate WM5 original ROM. Kindly help me getting that done.

i have a JaMin 2 and i wasn't able to downgrade to the original I-mate Rom but u can downgrade to the NoID WM5 which is better than I-mate Rom

I mean do i run NoID ROM first and then execute Enterbootloader.exe and then Romupdate utility for my G4. I have the same problem...I cannot hear anything or any body can not hear me...But the thing is that the speaker does play the ringtone when sombody is calling me so the speaker is ok...PLz help..

i also face the same problem, my rom is WM6 fantastic b4, but after few times hard reset and soft reset and leave it for overnight all back to normal again... sometimes still cannot hear the caller voice.. i just soft reset again..... still no permanent solution yet...
one of the senior member suggested to re flash the ROM... but i'm still not sure how to do it
