Aim using a Cmpact Flash modem with iPAQ5450 to connect to internet. I've a problem with the settings. I did not manage to get the modem connected to the internet.

For me, T-mobile GPRS connection on the XDA with blank user ID and password and apn=wap.voicestream.com works fine, but when I use the XDA as a wireless modem the dialup connection on the desktop is stuck at "Verifying username and password..." stage. Does this meean I have to use some special user/password or is it some other problem? Otherwise I managed to configure the wireless modem correctly, the PC sees it, the Wireless Modem app on XDA flashes the connection and data lights...
BTW in Wireless Modem's log after the dial command and CONNECT I see stuff like
+CME ERROR 137
PDP_DEACTIVATED
I wonder if it's related to my "Verifying username and password..." problem. Any ideas?

Abat, I have the same problem. Where do you enter the apn?
My laptop dialog says "registering your computer on the network", then the XDA turns off GPRS and laptop says "connection failed"? Tried both USB and bluetooth, same result.
Has anyone got this to work, and can provide a step by step?
Did anybody have lucj connecting universal to mac mini via wi-fi (as access point)? I have no luck... The network is available for my PPC but that is unable to get connected..... Probably anybody can help.....

I have been trying to activesyn my phone with my PC over a corpoarte LAN network. It used to work earlier but since my i loaded ROM 6.1 in Touch , its not connecting. I have tried connecting via Bluetooth and USB but both fails , sometimes it says network connection is temp not available & sometimes unable to connect etc etc. In my connections, i have "Internet" as my default connection and it has my HTTP proxy settings that i use on PC over this LAN. What else can i try , can i delete all my connection settings and re do them from scratch for this ?? Any help & steps for this plz ?

i have a flashed jamin. i tried to use it as a modem but when i set it up via internet sharing, it keeps saying there is a prob witht he connection settings. however, i am able to access the net on the phone itself, just not connect it to the comp to use as a modem

Do you use the function "internet sharing"? It´s the easiest way to do what you want. Using it as modem via USB is not very practical...
