Currently I have radio version 4.08 and I was going to upgrade to 4.20
BUT
I also wanted to unlock the phone.
So the question is do I unlock first and then upgrade the ROM or the other way round. Or does it make no difference.
Thoughts are welcomed!

It turns out it doesn't much matter, or at least it did not seem to matter when I tested it. No guarantees though, and unlocking first is safest...
Hi, I use radio version 4.16 form the O2 site in the Netherlands. Is it possibel to use radio version 4.20 for the Netherlands, if so Where can I get it from. The Dutch site does not show this version.

I am currently using WM2003 with ROM version 4.00.01 & Radio Stack 4.21 from O2.
Is there any need to upgrade?
I saw around ROMs up to 4.00.16. Can anybody tell me the difference?
Also any reason to update to Radio higher on Vodafone Italy network (900/1800)?

my qtek1010 (XDA) works fine but
for incoming calls that are almost always lost.

You said your RSU is 3.19.01 so it's most propabily the Qtek. In this case there is more than one choice:
Qtek 3.25.01
TMO 6.24
O2 4.21
In all cases, since playing with RSU is a great risk, you MUST have SD backup for your RSU+CE before doing any upgrade. Persoanlly speaking, I would prefer starting by trying TMO 6.24 and you can get it from www.yorch.net upgrades. The Qtek one can be got from www.carrierdevices.com.au. One last important note: do NOT play with the band switching if it doesn't work from the first time unless you know what you are doing.

qtek 1.11 rom is available on the qtek site / ftp here, so you shouldnt having a problem upgrading, there isnt however a free utility to unlock the device. It's either you call sonera and pay whatever they charge or use the services of imei check

when i try to upgrade the rom it give
error unsupported language
unsupported language 'fra'

Would it be possible for you to make a backup of your ROM and send it to me?

before upgrading.
I buy as I-Mate Jamin with portuguese version one year ago. (No brand)
I-mate only as upgraded the english and arabic rom versions of Jamin.
Last version on site:
For the Worldwide English Build: NEW
Rom version 2.13.9.23
Radio version 02.20.21
ExtROM version 2.13.9.123
As opposed to:
For the Worldwide Portuguese Build: SHIPPING VERSION
Rom version 2.13.9.26

So I like to upgrade to english rom. Not only because is newer but
also because I had read on several post that english roms are faster.
(Is this true ?)
I realy like to upgrade to Wm6 but I can't find corage for that.
So I just want the better Wm5 official rom for the Jamin, even if it cames
from another brand.
If anybody as an official rom that can recommend me I would be
very much grateful. And of course the answer for the original question,
find if CID locked before upgrading.
