how to unlock T-wing ?? someone can post the link??
you have to call tmobile and ask for the unlock code and they should email the instructions to you, or they may give it to you over the phone like they did for me, hope this helps
What if you got the phone on ebay and you want to get the unlock code, will they provide it by you having a Tmobile account?
yes just call tmo and tell them you want the unlock code for you wing they will either email it to with instructions or give it to you over the phone, thats what iv always done with all my tmo phones
when they activated and set the number as the wrong number. Any one know the lock code so i can reset it. Thanks in advance
I believe u need MSL code..
it's different for every phone, so contact Sprint and ask them POLITELY for it, cuz they might not give it to u
but since u need to contact em might as well ask them to solve your problem..
if they don't give it to you. call and tell them you have error code 67. they will tell you dial ##3282# (##data#) and then they will give you the password, which is the MSL code.

I have called sprint (*2) and gone to my sprint store many many times to get an MSL; I have never had a problem. Sprint rep sometimes says he isn't supposed to give it out, but that's while hes writing it down for me.

Okay, up to this moment we have first few reports rergarding:
1. In the UK, M$ may ask users to provide IMEI but we are not 100% sure if they will generate Activation code or not to HD2's IMEI (some people provided HD2's IMEI but it was still accepted).
2. If you aren't lucky enough, M$ will require you to ring HTC or your network operator first, as they said that they do not issue Activation code any more.
The conclusion about microsoft's policy on HD2 is still unclear.

@16:00pm today, 15/01/2011; I rang to M$ support call centre in the UK and asked for a Window Phone 7 Activation Code. These are the outlines of my experience:
1/ The operator asked me for my Full name, Email address and Home Address to register to the system.
2/ He asked me about my Phone Manufacturer and Phone Model
(Is that a HTC HD7 sir?. Yes, that is)

3/ He asked me about the Serial Number of my phone.
as my phone is actually a HTC HD2, so I didn't give him my phone's serial number. Instead, I made up a story why I haven't got that HD7's serial number with me at the moment

.
This is your choice. You can make up a story or you can be honest with M$. Don't judge other people's decisions in here
4/ He said I should have it, but in this case, he will try to generate that Activation Code for me
5/ After waiting for 5 minutes, he was back with the code and he said I should keep this code very safe as this is an unique code for each customer. He also gave me a Reference Number in case I lose my Activation Code, I could ring them this the Reference Number and someone will take the code back for me.
6/ The operator was very polite and all the process was in very pleasant atmosphere.
Conclusion:
People are still disputing if it is legally right or not to get an WP7's activation code from M$ to use for HD2 phone. That is your decision. I'm not having any responsibility for anything happens to you.
I heard that some operator might be very flexible to generate you a code, some others might ask for more specific information about your phone (e.g, my case). I'm not 100% sure if their is an official action from M$ to against this or not. SO do it with your own risk!
Just do it like I did and tell them you don't know what phone model it is, but when you try to download something it asks for a code.
in short, act like a stupid kid, they usually won't deal with you very long.
EDIT:
and you don't need to give them correct information, I gave them information that traces back to a bakery or something, only my live account, which is bogus.
I created a hotmail account with region set to english, then called microsoft support uk and told them I had recently bought an HD7 and it keeps prompting me for some kind of activation thing. Pretend you dont know what youre talking about.
She asked me for my first and last name, phonenumber and email adress. I just gave her my real name, and real phonenumber. Now the thing is, I'm dutch. So I told her its a dutch number, which was no problem to her. Gave her my valid dutch number. Then gave her my hotmail account. She never asked for my adress or serial number.
She then immediatly gave me my activation code, thanks
It was worth a call to england I can tell you, didnt have to wait long either.
What phone number did you use I tried the 0844 just to be told its shut
Thanks
(sent from my Hd27 )

As they don't really care about the model we are using when requesting a Activation code, so I assume that it's is ok to register your Mozart with them, and get the activation code to use on HD2.
However, a situation may occur: If you use Mozart and HD2 at the same time, with the same code, the Live system could recognise these unreasonable accesses and block both of them. This is just an assuming, but who knows?
Just called to US Microsoft Support from Poland using Skype, and within about 5 minutes (including waiting to get connected with real person) i got my activation code. I just said, that i got second-hand HD7 and can't get it to work with Live Services ;>
I was asked only for my name, second name, email adress and phone number (and i gave my polish number here, no problems at all). Everything is working now ;>
Does this mean that WP7 looks down eventually? If you don't have activation code?
Come on Look closely at the box of your beloved HD2. You will see the "Windows Phone" logo on it. I guess that's exactly the OS we are all using right now with the phone )))
bet they think theres been some sort of technology leap and all of a sudden people are stupid, if i was at ms id be thinking "why would they have a hd7 if they where dumb with technology, they would have some crappy symbian phone which is easy to work"
if a new release or update from cotulla s released do we need another activation code or it is specified to the email account

The activation code is linked to the email account so as long as you use that again then it should be fine.
Mark.
Same here. Called MS USA using mig33, got a very nice operator, she only asked for first and last name, e-mail and phone no. I have to wait for about 3 minutes then she give me the code
Marketplace is fully working now. Already downloaded 12 apps as I'm writing this ;D
Much thanks for the DFT!
I just called MS in the US. They asked for name, email and phone (just made those up) and was immediately given code. I use another email account, which perfectly worked with the activation code. So the activation code does not seem to be linked to the email provided with the call (as that one I did not use)
yeah im pretty sure they ask for your name so they know what name to call you when they talk to you, the email in case they have to email you the code or any extra info and a number in case they have to call you back in case the call gets disconnected...
Question guys.
i seen posts that you can use the code ever 30 days, so does that mean you have to put in the code again in 30 days? or what?

They ask the email so they can email you the code (i got them to do that different email to my live account too btw)
Your phone number so they can call back later to check that everything worked well and you dont need anymore help, and also to ask how you rated their service.
I think its just very good customer service on their part. I was very impressed!
I was asked for name, phone number and email. Got the code straight away. Next phone might be a WP7 anyway so no need to tell porkies :/
Hi everyone, I just wanted to tell you my story.
Since zune and windows phone 7 are actually the same department i called the zune support number and was able to talk to someone immediately.
1-877-GET-ZUNE (1-877-438-9863)
TTY (hearing impaired): 1-800-801-1189
Hours of operation:
6:00 a.m. -- 10:00 p.m. PST
I talked to one of the reps who was very nice and he knew exactly what i was talking about when i asked for the activation code. He asked for my name, phone number, email address and I gave him my real info.
But then he asked for an IMEI number... I didnt want to give it to him because i thought they might not help if they found that it was invalid for an HD7.
anyways he insisted so i decided to be honest and i gave him the IMEI from behind my battery on my HD2. After a few minutes he gave me an activation code!
No need to lie!
This is actually the second time i've gotten one too as i lost the first one i got haha.
Depends on the operator, I said that I needed the activation code for my phone running WP7.
She was aware about this and told me that she would need my name phone number and email (but never asked on any information regarding the phone). I agreed but she actually forget to ask me my email. She gave me my activation code few seconds later.
I have activated my device and everything works fine xbox live, marketplace, zune etc.
The code doesn't seem to be tied to a handsets imei number. however Is it genereated uning information taken from your email address and phone number?
If not then can a single activation code be used to activate a second device where both could then be used to at the same time?
Seems to be working ok for me and my lad who also has a HD2.
Don't suppose you need someone else to test your theory and PM me your activation code
Pretty please
aenedor: Thanks for the info. So have you actvated both handsets using different email addresses but the same activation code?
mcvpjd3: Sorry I have a friend whose trying WP7 now - who may need the code if MS uk stall on issuing any new codes.....
here´s the thing.
I´ve tried emailing microsoft 5 times for an activation code and didnt get one.. they told me i need to call them. The thing is I can´t call them for some reason our phone doesnt connect with the helpdesk phone or sumthing.. Ive tried emailing to the contact support for South east asia, netherlands, usa and some more but no results. if someone has some tips for me to get a code or has a spare code for me, it would be very appreciated
How to solve:
Don't use chat, they won't give you a code in the Netherlands. If your phone doesn't work, use a different one.. Call 020 500 1500 and ask for the code. They will transfer you to someone who will activate your software.
They will ask for:
Name
E-mail (This will be linked to the activation code)
Number
Maybe the brand of your phone (remember you have a HD7 if they ask)
Worked, thanx
