SM-G930F(D) cannot register on network - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions & Answers

After service, moving motherboard from SM-G930FD into an SM-G930F, the sim cannot register on network.
Network discovery works and shows multiple operators, but manually registering also doesn't work.
Stuck in emergency calls only.
I see that IMEI numbers have been changed, they aren't the same as from the original SM-G930FD sticker. Also the S/N has been changed.
Calling *#0011# shows `IMEI status: OK` for both sims.
What more can I check?

Is it because the IMEI is linked to the motherboard? Can I change them to match the original phone?

Nexus 4 - No Service with specific carrier

Hi,
I have Nexus 4 for about 3 months, and I was using it fine with my SIM cut as micro sim in my carrer.
On Friday night, I put it into airplane mode and went sleep. On the morning I disabled airplane mode but the carrier signal didn´t came back.
I tried then put my micro sim into another phone, and it worked fine. I other carrier micro sim in my phone (also cut from normal SIM) and it worked just fine !
I already tested 2 micro sim from my carrier and all of them gets the same, N4 says 'No Service | Carrier name' but with another carrier, it works fine (tested with 3 different micro sim, from this same other carrier).
I called to my carrier asking if there is something blocking my phone, but they say everything is fone every time. (Btw I discovered that my sim was blocked for some reason, but it is now unblocked - so I´m thinking if they did not blocked my IMEI, but they say no every time).
If I go to the Mobile Networks -> network operators and choose my carrier from the list, it says 'Selected network (XX) unavailable'. If I choose automatic, it does not give me any error, but the 'No Service' text...
I already tried factory reset, reboot, airplane mode, flashed google factory image, flashed radio .33, .48 and .54, flashed CM 10.2... nothing...
My question is, is any way, techinical way speaking, that my phone has 'broken' something that avoid me to use only a specific carrier? Because my carrier adivce me to take it to repair, as it is the guilt on the history, but I´m thinking it is very strange that it work for another carrier but mine...
Is that even possible ?
Thank for you help !

I'm having the same problem here, I've tried to flash back 4.2.2 ROM and then 4.3 stock but still no better. please any1 help us :crying:
Have you checked APN settings? I've seen it sometimes default to the wrong one if there's multiple in there. Who is your carrier?
It happens to be in my case, a problem with the carrier itself. I tried others SIMCard from same carrier, and got the same issue. Tried from a different carrier and worked just fine.
After a long fight if the carrier, I found out that my IMEI was on blacklist only for that carrier and after another long fight, I could get it unblocked and everything got back as normal...

They have a lot of reasons to do that. In my case I believe that the cause was my phone got stuck with something and start to consume a lot of 3g data. As my plan do not allow tethering, they identify this high usage as tethering and blocked both my simcard and my IMEI (even that at first they swear my IMEI was not blocked, but after I opened a ticket in government regulations, they fixed it).
If it works with 2 other carries, do not work with other sim cards from your carrier and in past it worked fine, it is 99% sure that your IMEI is blocked at the carrier, I would say

[Q] Can't get I337 to work with Verizon after following unlock guide.

I have a SGH-I337 (AT&T) that I'm trying to get to work with a Verizon sim. I followed the steps in the post below.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...aranteed-free-sim-unlock-mk2-nb1-nc1-t2852979
I follow the steps as stated but at the end the phone has no signal/loses signal using Verizon sim's.
Usually after a fresh boot, the phone will have bars but no data and cannot make calls. The phone states EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY at this point. After a few minutes the service bars will disappear and be replaced with a NO SERVICE indicator.
The phone no longer indicates an invalid sim, but does not auto load APN settings. Manually inputting the Verizon APN settings does not fix it either.
I have checked and it does NOT show the NULL IMEI on the *#06#. Also with the Verizon sim the hidden menus don't always function (*#0011# and such) although I've read that is an AT&T only thing, I'm not sure if that true.
When I insert an AT&T Sim it gets service/data immediately upon booting. I've also tried two different Verizon sim cards.
Thoughts or Suggestions? What am I missing?

I don't own any Verizon phones myself, so I could be totally wrong but:
- Verizon's SIM cards are just for data.
- Verizon uses CDMA (Your subscriber identity is in the ESN/IMEI)
- AT&T uses GSM (Your subscriber identity is in the SIM)
Both networks require you to authenticate yourself with your subscriber identity before they will give you data access.
Sounds like Verizon doesn't have your IMEI, so the phone fails to authenticate/connect.
Try calling Verizon, tell them you got a new phone, and you would like to tell them the IMEI of the new one, so that it can connect to data services.
Either that or they need the number off the Verizon SIM

I really do hope it's this simple. I'll try it tomorrow and let you know if it works.
I've never heard of a gsm phone working on cdma. Is it even possible?

It should be able to work with CDMA. I've seen the option in some of the menu's I've been through. And the guides have all said that they can work between AT&T and Verizon/T-Mobile or vice versa.
Also, AT&T will unlock the phone for you if you go to their website and fill out the stuff. The only reason I didn't do this is because I'm still under contract and I would have to break that and pay the early termination fee.

Note 3 - Not registred on network problem - HELP!

My Note 3 SM-N9005 is getting "Not registered on network - No service". When i put my sim card in, it asks for SIM PIN and I type it. Then I get "Emergency Calls Only" or "No service. It wont connect to my SIM CARD NETWORK. Whenever I change networkmode between "LTE/WCDMA/GSM" to ""WCDMA/GSM" my network operator come up in 5seconds and dissapear again back to "Emergency calls only - No service"
The strange thing is that my 3G works. Also my contacts on SIMCARD syncronize to my phone. That means that there is nothing wrong with the simcard/slot.
My IMEI is not blacklisted. I have checked.
I have factory resetted the phone and flashed tons of firmwares but no luck..
PLEASE HELP!

No service after returning from abroad

Hi,
I have returned to the UK from abroad and I no longer connect to a network operator. My mobile network operator is not listed when I search for available operators. I cannot connect to any of the those that are listed.
I am running an old CM13 nightly.
I have rebooted the phone. I have removed and replaced the SIM, both while the phone was on and off. I have reinstalled a nandroid backup from before I left to go abroad. Nothing has worked as yet.
Turning the radio off and then on again using the *#*#4636#*#* code does nothing. It lists my IMEI number at the top; however, this is not the same IMEI number that is shown when I check my mobile account details with my network provider. Is this the main issue?
I am unsure what to try next. Any help or recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks.
FIXED
The strangest thing - it's now working.
After a few days of googling and getting absolutely nowhere, I put the SIM into my wife's phone assuming it wouldn't work - and it didn't. But when I put it back in my phone, a signal was found immediately. Calls outgoing and incoming are fine, and I have received a text.
How odd.

Received a new replacement but IMEI are duplicate?

I received a new replacement from warranty. On the back there was a sticker with two separate IMEI for each SIM1 and 2. Inside the stock, phone status, it shows both SIM1 and 2 have the same IMEI that matches the SIM2 on the sticker. Is this normal or is something wrong? I tried putting two sim cards in and they both receive calls fine. Both have no credit to test calling or data though.
Update edit: Nevermind, might have been an old original ZTE firmware bug. After restoring my ROM I see both sims normal.
