S8 FRP LOCK ; boot loop ; phone not recognized by windows - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

so I rooted my phone about 6 months ago and never really tried to transfer files to pc. when i finally decided to unroot my phone and back up my device. windows 10 read the phone for 10-20 seconds and then completely disappeared. At this point I tried of 4 different computers we have around the house and the phone wasnt read on any of them. (also tried 4-5 different cables and usb ports) Every time I plugged the phone into the computer it would read it as Charging and not file transfer (possibly hardware issue?).
Anyway I went ahead and backed up my phone using google drive and went on to unrooting the device. As soon as I put into download mode the phone still wasn't read by the PC so i shut down and when i turn it on. it turns on for about 4 seconds saying 'custom binary blocked by frp lock'.
1 whats funny is the phone recognizes its plugged in and when I do plug it in or use it on the wireless charger the phone is constantly trying to turn on, and It gets stuck in an infinite boot loop.
2 also whats funny. the very first time i plugged the phone in it ask for me to allow on the s8 (normally) i did so and it worked for about 20 seconds just enough time for me to find my pictures and beging file transfer.
Then the screen went black due to energy saver. and then it never connected again.
Only thing I am able to do is enter download mode, but from there phone still doesn't read it. and I have to go back to the boot loop
Ive added a video of the boot loop.
just youtube : /watch?v=ncGH-PbvqlQ&feature=youtu.be
Any help would be much appreciated.
If you know anything please let me know
Jon.

[Q] LG G2 D800 ATT - Bootloop

Hello.
I have a problem with my LG G2, it got bricked yesterday. I was playing some game and suddenly it turned off and keep restarting on LG logo. After couple tries with powering off and on it turned on, I wasn't at home so I could not do the backup. After an hour bootloop started again, today after >30 tries it turned on but unluckily I was at the gym at that moment, after 30 minutes bootlooping started all over. I tried over couple hundred times but to turn it on and do the backup but no luck.
I am able to get into download mode but I dont think it's the full one, when plugging into computer it maked couple hardrives saying they need formatting
LG is detected as qhsusb_bulk in device manager.
I am able to get into factory settings but I don't have CWM. My device is not rooted. Probably it doesn't have usb debugging on.
Oh and theres one strange thing, I cannot turn the phone off (during bootloop) when it's plugged into charger, if I hold power button a red led blinks 8 times.
Is there any chance I could backup my data or fix it without erasing? It's very important because there are over 3 thousand photos.
I will be really grateful for help.

[Q] S4 shuts off after splash, any ideas?

My S4 has finally kicked the bucket. It turns on long enough to display the "Samsung" splash screen with the padlock icon that says "Custom." After about two seconds it instantly shuts off, and can't be turned back on.
Pull the battery, the phone automatically turns on, shuts off again, rinse and repeat.
At this point I just want to salvage my pictures and music from the phone; is there any way I can mount the internal SD in the state that it's in? I'm sure this power issue is hardware-based; I can't get into recovery or download mode before it shuts off on me.
I was having this same problem recently as well. It happened on two separate occasions with about a week in between. The first time it came back after a few battery pulls and attempts to boot to recovery as well as download mode. The second time I fiddled with it for about an hour with numerous battery pulls and attempts to boot to recovery and download mode. I even swapped batteries to no avail. I don't know why exactly it finally decided to boot, but I haven't had an issue with it since. Maybe keep trying and hope for the best?
Can you boot and stay into recovery or download mode?
If not, then it very well might be a button issue. Have the phone checked out or you can do it yourself with a voltmeter if you have the knowledge and tech. Otherwise take it to a professional. I paid around 15$ to a button replaced. Which kinda seems a lot, considering a set of 4 buttons costs about 5$ and then you can do it yourself since it doesn't appear to be that hard, especially if you've done soldering before.

Hard Bricked Samsung galaxy s7 edge

Hi! I managed to hard brick my galaxy s7 edge and i wanna see if someone here knows if its hard bricked or soft.
Got root and had renovate rom 2.0 ( n7 port) then i wiped my phone and flashed renovate 3.3 (s7 edge stock)
my phone worked fine on startup and i started to restore my old apps through gmail. i thought it would take a while so put my phone in my pocked and let it be fore about 20 minutes then when i took it up it was complete dead. i had about 67% before it died i tried everything (vol up down home all together) for at least 15+ sec. had it charge over the night ( i noticed that the phone didnt get warm or any leds shown) in the morning i tried everything again and nothing. when i connect my phone to my computer i hear the connect sound and then it disconnect a sec later. if i hold power button down and connect it ( and dont release power) my computer recognize it as onyx8890 and if i release powerbutton it disconnects. cant boot it in any way whatsoever. so what do you think? its only a week old thats the worst part of it!
I have left it to the store I bought it from for warrantable but its still rooted and have a rom on it. well if its complete dead they cant see if its rooted so thats one good thing.
still want to hear you opinion
sorry for bad english
so, from what I understand, u cant boot into any mode, are u even able to see something on screen? (logo, boot screen, etc.) U can try JIG (it somehow make any samsung device go to download mode). otherwise idk.
Hi guys, I have the same problem with my S7 Edge.
Can anyone help?
OK. So I managed to recover my phone.
The phone was dead because of a software crash(nothing on display, no LED light, power+vol. down for reset not working) and when connected to my PC - nothing (just a connect and after 1 sec. a disconnect sound).
But if I kept the power button pressed without letting go, my PC would detect the phone as exynos8890.
I tried to keep pressing the power+vol. down while connected to PC and I realized that the combo worked because after ~7 seconds the phone would disconnect and reconnect itself (but still as exynos8890).
But I tried a different approach. While connected to the PC I tried to keep on pressing power+vol. down. And I could hear that it disconnected and reconnected. But I did not let go of the buttons. And again a connect and disconnect. And again. And after literally 5 minutes of the buttons kept pressed down without letting go and countless reconnects there was finally a change. The disconnect sound was not heard after the connect sound. At that point I stopeed pressing the buttons and when I looked at the phone I could see that the battery icon appeared. Since the phone was connected to my PC, after 1 min. the battery started charging (it was charged 31%). And after that my phone booted fine.
wow
Hi I have just bought an s7 which turned out to be a Korean G930L but I cant get any response out if it apart from the 2 bottom leds and and the blue one. No response from trying to get into recovery or download mode, basically a black screen though it does vibrate on what i think is start up. It is found by pc and Odin and charges ok, I can tell as I can see properties on pc. But no other response. Is it possible that the previous owner tried to root it using non korean rom or TWRP? Any advice on how to fix either getting TWRP on or screen to light up. I am sorry for being so vague I have pulled it apart and checked all of the connections, screen, motherboard etc but nothing. Or chuck it out or put back on eBay. I tried your idea but it only booted once in that 5 minute period so I tried without it plugged in and rebooted several times but still no screen response.

[Help] Phone not recognized by PC

I was charging my phone few days back, and after about 2 hours I checked into my phone and it was stuck showing my background with no applications etc. It did not respond to any button presses except holding down the power button.
After trying to turn my phone back on it got stuck at the OnePlus spinning logo. I shut down the phone after about 30 minutes of spinning.
I was able to access fast boot (bootloader) menu and recovery menu, and even tried clearing my phones cache and system data in the recovery menu but this didn't help.
I read that I might've 'bricked' my phone and I tried some guides on the internet on how to fix it, but I was unable get my phone recognized by my computer so that didn't work out either.
If I have my computer plugged to my PC it does indeed charge, but my device manager doesn't show any new devices, nor do I get any pop ups for new device detected. This is keeping me from even trying to unbrick my phone.
thanks for all the help in advance!

Asus Zenpad 8 Z380C (P022) does not start

Hi, yesterday my father gave me his Asus tablet, because it doesn't work anymore. He asked me to fix it.
The model is Z380C (P022 reported on the back, under the cover) and it's not rooted.
He told me he was in his car under my home and he turned on the tablet too see if my Wifi network was reachable. He started youtube, and the app started, but it blocked and he had to turn off the tablet. After that, when he tried to turn on it later, it didn't boot and so he took it to me.
When I start the tablet unplugged, it arrives to the first Asus logo screen, and it turns off. Battery seems to be charged, as it shows it full when trying to charge it when powered off. If I try to turn it on when plugged, it passes the first Asus logo, reaches the second one and then it shows the rolling balls for a long time, then it shuts down.
I can boot in fastboot mode or in standard recovery mode, but before I try to do an hard reset I was wondering if there is any way to recover the data on the tablet. My father wasn't using an SD card so all of the photos are on the internal memory. In addition I can say it could have some malware installed, as sometimes several advertising are shown.
Any clues about this?
Thanks in advance,
Stefano
