It sounds like normal if you play heavy game though. If it happens when you dont play too, then its abnormal; try older firmware.
Device: G928C
Rom: ToucheWiz
Kernel: SkyHigh v5.1.x

Battery Life and Screen on Time

Oh my God this phone is a beast in the battery department!
Turned off all miui battery saving "features".
Both sim slots used, mixed 4g and WiFi, GPS navigation for about a couple of minutes.
Usage: a lot of whatsapp, a couple of short calls, web browsing using Chrome Beta, 1 or two pics, not much else.
On its way to 10hrs sot I'd say
3rd cycle:
Would you please check the quality of sound of other caller when reciving calls, this is one of my concerns

Making a call on a busy street is a little bit harder to hear than most phones. But still manageable.
Thank you for the info so it is not that bad in other quite envernoments

I think you can easily hit 10 hours SOT with this Battery and a FHD Screen since I can get 8 hours on my mate 8 with less mAh battery

By any chance you have a headset or BT headset to test call quality and volume
? How's the camera and audio sound?

I think I'll start another thread to answer these questions brothers..

In quiet environment it is good.. I never had any problems. It's even weird that you can actually hear the person calling when you press your ear on the phones back or even upside down.

And keeping your ear at a distance, like 10cm away from the phone??
Because i cant find much sots on the Forum i am Posting a Screen.
Only 3g/4g Used, 2 hours watching anime, 1 1/2 hours playing with gba emulator and the other times WhatsApp and Surfing.
Nearly 4h till halftime...
Never had an similar phone
Here are my battery stats (China Developer ROM and no Google Apps)
I have had similar result too. If I don't use the phone much, I can easily get three days with 1-2hr SOT. On a heavy day, I averaged 10-11 SOT with a full day usage and 10% left. Quite amazing if you ask me.

Thanks, although it's really not a big deal about it.
battery life is ok
Hey guys,
I see you guys talking about great battery life, but if I'd rate mine then I would say it is ok. I usually have maybe 4-5 sot with around 15 hours of battery usage. I don't know whats wrong I feel like the battery was better at the start when I got this phone, but I don't really see the problem? What I also noticed is is that the battery drains a lot in the background. Do you guys maybe have advice? Should I reset the phone or something? I'm running on Chinese stable ROM.
thanks

Ditch the Chinese Stable ROM & go with the EU ROM (or GlobeROM,EpicROM),the background processes running is the difference.
Or,at minimum,if you can root the Chinese Stable ROM,do so & use Titanium Backup Pro,SD Maid Pro,or,ROM Toolbox to disable the unnecessary Xiaomi/MIUI items.
Don't delete anything,just freeze/disable.

I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to flashing, and as this phone is from china, I'm a bit extra careful with this, but if i want to do it, I should follow 2.0 and 2.1 of the ''Guide: (17-01-09) Flash Global/China ROM, Root, gapps, Xposed, TWRP'' right?

That thread is a good source,as is the TWRP thread in the same section.
Everyone here has been real personable in offering help/advice/etc.... don't be bashful to mention/quote the members in these threads if you have any questions when getting ready to root/ROM/etc.....

Only Google apps are draining battery on phone, China ROM is more than perfect if you set up proper environment for it.

I never had battery issues, was just offering some sound advice to someone else.
The China ROM is not ideal for a lot of us,no need for duplication of processes/apps.
I'll take Google services vs any mfgs duplication of services, just my personal preference.
However, the U/I & features that are unique to a mfg are what makes Android great. (I.E., Samsung's S-Pen,LG's perfect implementation of the navigation bar/ various mfgs I-R Blaster,etc......)

What speeds are you getting? Check via an app
Are your called not connecting/getting disconnected often?
When does the phone heat? And how much?
Rated to perform in ambient temperatures between -20 to 110 F from box insert.
How close are you to the max ambient temperature?
I assume your not using it in min temps. I sometimes do, and it has worked fine. No bugs. I have seen in -60F yet except screen doesn't register touches. I didn't try FS though. (I am in Antarctica)

Secondary display and battery

Do you guys have the secondary display on or off?i find it useful but not always, and i think it can be lived without it. Whats your opinions?
And for those who tested the phone without the secondary on, the battery improves much?
I used it when main screen off only ... No battery drain

I'ts not second display. It's the same display... You can't switch it off. Try yourself and switch on 'invert colors' option. Bang! It's magic! ???
