S8+ Oreo beta - XEU [SOLVED] - Samsung Galaxy S8+ Guides, News, & Discussion

I've searched through all the threads but none answered my question. I have an S8+ with XEU/XEU/VOD and have applied for the beta.
Am I even eligible for the update/will I get it?
In recovery and the samsung info app it says that my CSC is XEU, but there is still the VOD at the end...
SOLVED: If you are not getting the Oreo update but you have registered for beta, CLEAN flash either August or September firmware (through ODIN, no KNOX tripping, both available on sammobile) and the Oreo 8.0 update will be waiting for you straight away!

I don't know then, that's what happened to me anyway as you can see from the screen shot in post 2 xeu/xeu/h3g and that was after flashing xeu firmware and the csc (not the home_csc)

The 3rd line of the csc will stay the same unless you have another sim afaik.

Well damn. Thanks for the help guys, appreciate it.
Will wait for someone to drop the update file so I can flash it through ODIN. Do you think anyone has it yet? Cheers.

I upgraded my XEU/XEU/VOD yesterday through Samsung Members without modding. I was originally on Vodafone firmware back in April.

Interesting, you're on the September security patch. I'm on October.
Someone was also saying to downgrade and then try to update to oreo. I already have it downloaded so once I get home I'll clean flash the September FW and try to download the beta. Cheers mate!

Where'd you manage to find the september FW? I'm struggling to find a link. This is my plan too. I'm on the latest BTU Firmware at the moment, registered for the beta but no update has come through and it's been over 24 hours. If you could link me I'd be very grateful!

Could it be that the 5000 UK registrations have ended and that's why no download is presented?

"Server error, please try again later" when accessing the "Registration" menu item from the Galaxy Beta Program...

Same. Though ill flash the first official update after the beta for sure.
@developers: Would it be feasible to create a flashable ROM from this beta firmware? Thanks
Judging by how stable and snappy all the current Note 7 port ROMs are, I'm pretty sure this beta will be awesome

Basically yes, and then register your Samsung account in the beta program, but still, that's not a guarantee that you will be selected for the beta

UK BTU update G935FXXU1DQB3

Just got this OTA update this morning, the main thing I've noticed is that Facebook is now pre-installed, i don't use it, so why is Samsung adding more bloatware?

Taken on original 7.0 update. I'm almost certain that Facebook is preinstalled since I have no option to uninstall.
I'm now wondering if it was pre installed on MM and I automatically disabled it, but when I updated to 7.0 it never mentioned Facebook, but this update must have re-enabled it again

Like I said, ive never had a problem, its always worked on every version of android since 6.0.1, and 7 and now also with the lastest update.
However, you are in Israel with BTU (Europe) firmware, thats why its not working for you, like I said and the screen shot says, its country specific, "This service is not available in other countries"

Ah OK - So the only differences between us currently is the original carrier (EE for me) and the fact that your phone was unlocked prior to flashing.
Strange though. I thought on the S7 I typically saw the OTAs before they made an appearance on sammobile.

Since the firmware stated improve on wireless charging stability, anyone who is charging using wireless charger still encountered stop charging issue when temperature more 40°C?
Update: OK, just installed & try, still the same **** & Samsung didn't fixed it. I'm so disappointed.
Has anybody who's flashed from carrier to stock firmware been offered the OTA?

Firmware for SM-G975W

Hi,
I purchased an S10+ from Telus today and I was wondering what firmware I can use to update it. I'm on February security level and I believe there is more recent available.
Based on a thread in the Guides section, the Muti CA. Firmware doesn't cover the TLS "region"
Thank you.

The latest firmware ends with VLU1ASBA and has a February security patch. If that's what you see. You're on the same firmware as everyone else with Telus and most likely Canada.

I'm not aware of being able to cross flash. I would suspect that if possible, it would probably be destructive to the data on the phone. Perhaps one of the more modding savvy folks can chime in and provide better instructions.
