Worst phone I've got. Searching in Xiaomi forums and Reddit, it is a common oldest problem related with noise cancellation.
DO NOT OWN THIS PHONE.. A lot of ads everywhere!!! A lot of voice call problems.
I've never ever problems with phones with Samsung, Huawei, Apple brands.

It's good even where still 2g towers ... Has better signal strength than my other devices

The call quality is pretty good and the audio is also clear.
