did you get the QCN file? could you share it?
I also have a ZTE AXON 7 A2017 CHINA

@RBSonic: I would be glad to cooperate, but I will need to know a few things:
1. What software is needed to make the backup
2. Instructions on how to make the backup with said software
3. Assurance that the backup I'm providing won't contain personal info like legal name, phone#, IMEI/EFS, etc.
I too am interested in unlocking LTE bands for the Axon 7. I have an A2017U, not G. But any info I provide might still be of use.
Thanks!

1. You need QPST and QXDM software.
2. There are many instructions in Internet. You find it easy.
3. Yes, there is personal info in qpst backup (IMEI, may be phone nummber, but no name). It must be delete, before you post this information.
May be it can help other users, but now I have not time to work with Band unlocking. May be later. Sorry.

Unlock FDD LTE Band 3 (1800MHZ) on OnePlus 2

Hello,
I received my Oneplus 2 today and it does not support the LTE Band 3. It`s the north USA Version and i would like to ask if anyone figured out a method to unlock the LTE Band 3 (1800mhz) . It`s because the Hardware of the Oneplus USA Version is the same like the European version.

That would be amazing if some one could figure that out. But as I did my research it seems that it's not possible that there's a hardware difference.

Should be the same procedure as the HTC M9 since they're the same processor. And for the prep work (drivers and enabling the modem diag mode) as in this thread for the OnePlus One.

Do the changes to the band stay after rebooting or upgrading the OS to a newer version? I wanted to unlock band 3 as well on my OP2.
I haven't tried writing the modem configuration yet to see if it sticks or not but was able connect the phone and read the configuration from it by following the instructions from the 2 posts I mentioned.
Say if you got Chinese oneplus 2 and changed software on it would it work on bands 20 I've seen this question asked before but can't find the post
Sent from my LG-H815 using XDA Free mobile app
anyone found a way to unlock band 3?
Have a look at this post
I suggest you to keep 3G instead of LTE because battery draining is so faster under LTE Mode. If you stay a place that have a poor LTE signal, that would be your battery killer.

Hi, this research includes some whitepaper research?, Does it actually has different hardware?, just wondering if someone knows this by solid proof?
To know if there is hope for us (Buyers of wrong OP2 version )
I'm using A2005 usa model in India and I'm unable to use it on Airtel 4G in India. When I spoke to the OnePlus customer service they said it will need to replace the motherboard as it's a Hardware issue. I'm waiting for the motherboard to arrive from china as they don't have it yet in India. So basically it's a Hardware issue on oneplus 2 unlike it's ancestors.

They will do it for free? Or what is the charge?
Ok, guys, I`ve unlock NVram to write. Now I can save any values to change enabled bands.
Intruction:
Requirements:
OnePlus 2 with TWRP and rooted.
QXDM Pro, drivers, etc, as described here http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/guide-unlock-aditional-bands-qualcomm-t2877031
Stock ROM OnePlus2Oxygen_14_OTA_011_all_1512111634.zip.
Attached file.
Just unzip attachment and replace file in ROM OnePlus2Oxygen_14_OTA_011_all_1512111634.zip, in RADIO folder. Flash via twrp.
After boot you will see warning "NV backup corrupted" or something like this, dont worry.
Use QXDM to change band as you want, reboot and check. Voilya. But LTE will not work, because it is hardware issue, lol.
A few words about attached file. I just unzip this file from stock ROM, search AC 1Ah (6828 little endian) and DB 08 (56072, US LTE band) together and replace DB 08 with DF 10. Dont ask, what I did, I dont know, lol. But it is work.

There is easier way to do that without corrupting the backup.
Simply change the value is QXDM.
Then in the phone dial *#268#
Press the NV parameters
Press the Static NV Force Backup.
This will copy the new values to the backup, and they will stick later on.
BTW, to be on the safe side, make sure to backup your dycnvbk, stanvbk and EFS.
Not working for me. Cause com.android.phone crash after dial. May be because my backup is corrupted. Later will try with stock backup. But thank you anyway.
I am using the stock image with the stock phone app.
I am using Mokee, chinese AOSP firmware. BTW, I just erased nv backup partition and keep playing with nv ram. Hope will not brick my phone ))
What version do you have? US/EU/CH?
In case you have EU, cab you PM me with qcn of your device?
Unfortunatelly I have US version.
I know a way to add bands in snapdragon 801 (i did in xiaomi mi note) never tried in OPT since it has all bands i need . but it should be the same. Search google for adding bands in mi note

Unlocking additional radio basebands

These are guides for unlocking additional basebands on Qualcomm devices I want to try it on yotaphone 2 but I thought I would ask for advice first.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...ad-progress-please-leave-im-updating-t2871269
That's would be really cool for our YD206! I always thought that the lack of some bands was physical, so it's not and they are present in the motherboard?
Have someone tried it?
I found something that might be useful to the OP: http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/radio-enable-lte-band-3-nexus-5-d820-t2928561
edit qcn file
It looks like only way to modify, add LTE bands is by modifying qcn files.
It is working procedure for Oneplus3, for example
https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...ck-additional-lte-bands-t3519563#post70099218
Does anyone can do that? To add band 17, for example? we can supply original qcn.
what are the risks? why all are asking and no one do something? OR we all need a guide special for YOTA

good afternoon friends how can i get my zte axon 7 a2017u signal on android official

good friends first of all I want to apologize for my bad English, I'm not from the United States I'm from Colombia and today I decided to create this post so that someone can help me recover my device.
I will start by telling you that my unit is a zte axon 7 a2017g (global vision) and that in my country they are beasts, they decided to copy the FCC ID system of the United States to prevent the Chinese teams from destroying the monopoly of the three movistar, clear and tigo telecommunications companies.
I acquired the zte second hand I found it very powerful and balanced because it came from a one plus 5, the first thing I found with the team is a message blocking the imei by the operators of Colombia because my unit has no certificate FCC ID as the a2017u check, after fighting to the exhaustion with the telecommunications ministry where I showed them that the a2017g and the a2017u are the same, they blocked my first imei which only comes with the second line for calls.
After this I got the message to the second line I felt a little annoyed and frustrated by not having a solution to the hands then my idea was to make a change of imei of the team, as I am not software expert look for someone who does He knows and managed to make the change of the two imei but automatically the equipment did not raise signal. we flashed it with several official firmware even now it appears as an a2017u unit and it is on an official android oreo but without receiving any kind of signal.
the strangest thing is that the MEID was lost in that process and the only alternative is to recover a file called QCN that someone with a backup of this computer can have and thus recover the signal that I can find out on the internet. my team is currently only used for wifi and I want to recover it I do not know who can help me? What should I do to recover the signal from my device? I have the two original images saved, installing both imeis and flashing the file with the QCN recover the signal, as I already have the device in the a2017u view, maybe I can homologate my device without blocking of signal or do not know what else I can do
Thank you very much for reading this I apologize for my English grief and I hope you can guide me on how I can recover the signal from my team that I want so much to recover many thanks
Is the phone blacklisted? If so then any telecom company will probably refuse to sell you service. I don't know about Colombia, but in the US changing ESN/MEID is illegal, and probably IMEI too. XDA forbids discussions on how to change these.
I can only suggest that you flash the proper A2017G stock ROM for your device. And the proper modem. An A2017U stock ROM may work too, but I can't be sure, it is usually best to use the correct firmware for your variant. Maybe then you will be able to get cellular signal/service.

Thank you very much for answering effectively the change of imei or the MEID is illegal but I was forced to do it because the blocking of the cell line is not for theft is only because you do not have the FCC ID code and automatically disables it for the United States or colombia but it works in the rest of the world, what I want is not to change the imei is to recover the signal of my team flasehando the modem or something.
At this moment I am in a2017u but my model is factory a2017g I am in android oreo as I can recover the signal the only way to find out is flashing a file from the QCN of another axon 7 that is in android 8 or something like this understood in gsmclan

Rooting Redmi Note 7 - m1901f7g - Global Version

I'm coming from Samsung and this is my first Xiaomi phone, so I need a quick reply to make sure I will not fry my motherboard.
I bought the 128GB Redmi Note 7 m1901f7g - Global Version and planning to root my phone to gain the access I need.
I was looking through the XDA and most threads are about the Lavender version and I'm not sure what that really is.
For example, will this work for my phone
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-7/how-to/one-redmi-note-7-unlock-bootloader-t3890751
if not, could you guide me to the correct thread, please? I'm away from the US and phones are 3 times the price in the country I'm in right now. I don't want to pay ridiculous amounts of taxes for a basic phone. I hope you get it (They charge $650 for this thing here, ridiculous!)
thanks!

You will not see so many variations of the same xiaomi phone like how samsung does, and those variation are codenamed based on their SoC
Lavender: xiaomi redmi note 7 (snapdragon 660)
Violet: xiaomi redmi note 7 pro (snapdragon 675)
If you want to mod your device the first step is to unlock the bootloader by requesting a permission from xiaomi (the official method) then install TWRP (a custom recovery). This is the only time consuming process. Once you get that everything else is done through twrp flashing magisk (the only root you need), flashing custom roms, even some mod and fix are flashable through twrp.
There a thread for unlocking the bootloader in [guide] section, or simply install "mi flash unlock" on your computer and follow the steps it provide.

ah I see, each chip-set has it's own "cute" name. Thank you!
These are the best 2 variants (the only safe ones) to root your cell phone.

Possible Help From Rooted 5q Owner?

I have a friend who purchased a Zenfone Max M1 Pro made for the market in India (and maybe elsewhere) for use in the US. He did not realize that the bands used overseas would not be helpful in the US. I am trying to help him. He is on T-Mobile and really needs LTE band 4 so he can use his CellSpot device at his home. Sadly, the device he bought lacks this band.
I have been reading and trying several things since I rooted this device. First I tried the well documented approach using the QXDM utility. It turned out this did not work on this device. Not entirely sure why. But this user <https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79713339&postcount=3> claims it is because the phone in question "does not have a programmable radio firmware" and "Network parameters are pre-installed in mcfg_sw.mbn files, also the per carrier volte parameters are embedded in this folder". He then says "mcfg_sw.mbn files can be deleted and installed by QFIL in QPST. "
So I am willing to try going this route. In looking around, it seems that users looking to change their phone's Qualcomm configuration have been finding users with "compatible" phones online and getting ahold of their files of this type and installing them + some additional properties changes. Sadly, Asus did not make a version of the Zenfone Max M1 Pro for the US market and so I have been trying to find another Asus Zenfone that seems possibly compatible from which I could try to do the same.
This brings me to this forum and post... In looking at the specs, the Zenfone 5q and the Zenfone Max M1 Pro seem to share many common features. It is true that one uses the Snapdragon 636 while the other uses the 630. But from what I have read, they employ the same modem. So I am hoping that I may be able to succeed using files from the 5q.
So I am asking to see if some rooted (you need to be in order to access the folder/files in question) 5q owners/users might be able to help. On the M1 Pro, the files are all located under this folder: /firmware/image/modem_pr/mcfg/configs. So I am guessing/hoping that the same location will be used on the 5q. It it is, could someone possibly zip up the contents of that entire folder and make it available somehow? I could then compare what you have to what I have here and maybe try some file swapping.
Any other tips/suggestions are always welcome too.
Thanks
