need RUU os-2.32 for m9 prime camera edition - One (M9+) General

Hello, i need RUU for my m9 pce with os-2.32

Hi buddy. Can't test if it's working but I found it here. Please double check !
https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B1k9BTwXBmUHSUVwYjJQcEZrUmc&export=download
found here
(thank you google translate)

It's a "combined_signed" RUU. In other words: it's a custom RUU and not an official one. Therefore it can only get flashed on S-OFF devices.

Oh OK, thanks... Does it mean you're not getting any OTA after you flash it ?

No, you can receive OTAs just fine after flashing. The problem is you can't flash it with S-ON since the file is not signed by HTC. Your phone won't accept it. You need to set your phone S-OFF before you're able to flash that RUU.
Sent from my HTC One S using XDA Labs

Thanks a lot for the clarification No problem actually, my phone is already S-OFF. The thing I'm wondering is, is this RUU going to flash fine on my HTC One S9 - exactly same hardware specs as the One M9 "Prime Camera Edition", but slightly different design (front face mostly). Model name is htc_himar2uhl, but MID is 2PRG20000 so I assume it should be compatible...
Hard to tell the hardware differences between HTC One M9s, One M9 prime camera edition, and One S9... What are you doing HTC ??!
http://www.androidauthority.com/htc-one-m9-prime-camera-edition-announced-691219/

I wouldn't try it. There is a chance of bricking the device unrecoverably. As far as I can tell from a quick Google Search the RUUs for your device contain the 2 from himar2 in their naming, as well, and that RUU you linked lacks the 2.

According to their naming these should be ones for your device. But please check whether the android.txt file contains your MID before you start flashing one of them. You should be able to extract it with the decryption tool I linked in the Readme thread.

Thank you so much ! Been looking for that ! Will check the MID and change it if necessary. Know how to extract zip for .exe file, thanks anyway

What I meant was that you should check whether the RUU is really compatible with your phone by looking at the MID in the *.txt file. You can brick your phone if you flash e.g. a GSM RUU on a CDMA device or vice versa. Only GSM versions of a device can get converted into a different GSM version. It's not safe to change the MID of CDMA versions.
If your phone was a M9 the 20000 in your MID would indicate that it's a CDMA device. (However, this may be different in the case of this phone. I can't tell you whether it is since I don't own it. I just wanted to warn you before it's too late.)

OK, got it. Will make all compatibility checks before I flash anything. Thanks again

for those looking, signed RUU for HIMAR device 2.32.401.1

Sorry I'm a newbie at this, what and how will be the best way to execute this?

Maybe this ruu ?

Need help with Asian Magic please

Hi, I bought a HTC magic few days ago and I've tried to reflash it with a HTC original ROM.
I've tried with this rom
http://shipped-roms.com/shipped/Sap...Europe_3.05.401.3_release_signed_NoDriver.exe and during the flash procedure i gave me a error (INVALID_MODEL_ID) and the phone only boor in Fastboot mode.
After searching a lot on the internet I've managed to recover it with rom http://shipped-roms.com/shipped/Sap...a_WWE_2.53.707.2_SEA_test_signed_NoDriver.exe
Now, I would like to be able to flash the EUROPE rom on my magic. I've tried different version of engineering SPLs with different hboots and recovery images but they all gives invalid model id or invalid customer id errors.
I'me a newbie on android and I really need your help.
Thanks

Eris gets official bootloader unlock support from HTC

See tweet here: https://twitter.com/#!/htcdev/status/169946512019816448 and official booloader unlock page here: http://htcdev.com/bootloader
The Eris can now have its bootloader officially unlocked. Mine already is, so I haven't tried this myself.
Wow... Talk about too little too late. ROFL
Sent from my Sabotaged Droid Incredible 2.
Interesting process to say the least. According to this:
http://htcdev.com/bootloader/preview_unlock_process
you register an "account" with them (email and password), send them your device ID, and they "give you instructions" and a passcode of some sort which is unique to your handset.
(A PC with working drivers and fastboot is required).
Also, from the link which doogald provided, note the asterisk after Droid Eris indicating that a "a bootloader upgrade is required".
Also note this interesting tidbit from the HTCdev FAQ (See the very last item):
Why is my security still on (S-On) after I have unlocked my bootloader?
Your device is shipped with Security on (S-ON) to protect your system software configuration (such as the bootloader, radio, boot, recovery, system and others). After you have unlocked the bootloader, however, you will have lifted the restrictions on boot, recovery and system. This means you can customize boot, recovery and system images on your phone as you desire. You can easily see that you have successfully unlocked the bootloader by looking at the top of the screen when entering the bootloader screen. Security is left on to protect things like the radio, and SIM lock.

Well, I am going to register, and we'll see what we get...
It delivers an RUU with ROM version 2.41.605 - that's useful, as I believe that's one nobody has had before.
[edit] Scratch that - the RUU is 6.1 MB, so it must be just the bootloader and not the actual software
Also, the instructions for installing say that you must install HTC Sync first, and give an HTC web site that is supposed to have it - but they do not list the Eris in the models on the site.

Perchance did you start the RUU and pull the "rom.zip" file out (of the temp folder)? We can probably find the bootloader version number easily from there.
What is the use? I don't see it....
That's what I was thinking. The super one click method for the Eris is the best rooting and s off method I have seen for any phone.

No, let's take a look, though. Back in a bit.
Bootloader file name is hboot_7501a_1.51.0000_111229.nb0
So, I'm thinking that makes the bootloader version 1.51.0000?
I guess the next thing is to extract that and fastboot flash it, huh?

From the FAQ on the HTC site, it would appear that it is going to be a S-ON bootloader, so reversing that flash back to 1.49.20000 may be impossible.
I've got a spare eris with a wonky digitizer that I don't care what happens to it at this time.
But - as others mentioned - it does seem a bit academic at this point.
Can you post the rom.zip file? I'm betting it's small enough to be a post attachment.

Right. I'm not quite sure why they bothered - the current bootloader is rootable, doesn't block kernel flashes - what's the point of a new BL with S-ON? I was curious, though, to see what they were going to deliver. I'm going to keep stock on the phone to see if they ever deliver an OTA update, though.

Right. When you run the RUU it goes through all of the steps and then fails at the end, with an error message that says that the current ROM is not supported (my phone had the latest March 2011 OTA installed), but that an update would be available soon that will be supported. It says that there will be a message on the phone, so I assume it's a new OTA.

Ok I did some looking and the Eris did get s off and mine is s off. There is a specific h boot that has to be flashed but you have to have a specific version starting to do it. Plus flashing a bootloader is very risky and is the easiest way to brick your phone.

You shocked me. I was thinking if htc really changes itself to be more user and dev-friendly. All of those are obsolete kernel sources( except the GE ones), and htc, it seems, will never release RUUs of regions other than Developer Edition.
There is one now...check the AT&T section. I hope the normal ones for non branded phones will follow soon!

Not. They are not available yet for 4.22 / hboot 1.54. Keep waiting for RUUs, or keep waiting for new s off solution.

RUUs are never posted by HTC. They are always leaked in some way or form.
Htcdev only provides kernel source and other software as required by the GPL. It does NOT provide RUUs.

Thank you very very very very very very very much aki0306. But may I please ask if it is for dual sim or single sim version ? I bought this phone from Dubai (so probably asian version) with dual sim capability and soft bricked it when trying to root it. Now I am in NZ and cant go back to ask for the repair and so dependent on the people like you who provide the RUU for that dual sim phone. Any help would be much appreciated.

I don't think so. It's actually more of an HTC device which happens to use Mediatek SoC. It's highly customized to HTC's spec. It's not just an iteration of Mediatek's turnkey solution, like almost all other Chinese minor brands.

The reason I'm creating the cleanslate rom is to offer an easy way to update Chinese imported phones. That only needs the usual unlock and custom recovery, which are present.
The more complicated part is when you want to go back to ota.
But of course, I'm just trying to provide what fits in my schedule, and what I use myself everyday. So my stuff is just a possible choice to go with updates instead of ota, like I'd do with other phones custom roms. Admittedly I don't do much customization in the rom I cook, no time for that, but with xposed and sense toolbox working I don't see much reason to reinvent the wheel
I'm guessing we might see some more choices soon, as the phone gets into more countries, and devs might start to buy it.
Still my bet is aosp won't happen too soon with a mediatek chip, but who knows, maybe some talented devs with lots of lots of time might even try that
