AOSP Lockscreen on Desire 626s - Desire 626 General

This is a simple "mod" to unlock the built-in stock Android lockscreen, complete with working Camera and Dialer shortcuts. I applied this on my old Desire 510 on KitKat 4.4.2, and it's still working on my new Cricket variant 626s on 5.1.1.. I'm pretty sure it's universal across HTC devices on Sense ROMs. And of course root is required.

Simply rename or uninstall the HtcLockScreen.apk located in system/priv-app/HtcLockScreen, and reboot... That's it. I just added a ".bak" extension to the apk so I can easily revert to the stock Sense lockscreen at any time (just freezing/disabling the apk doesn't work).
Hope you guys enjoy[emoji106]

The shortcuts should work. Tap and hold the respective icon and swipe either right or left, not up.
I thought they were broken at first, too [emoji6]

It will not let me delete the application or rename it. I am rooted and i have unlocked the Bootloader and I have TWRP Recovery Installed. I tried your way and I tried through ADB and it give me Failure

Fixed the issue. Had 3 different type of mods installed while changing the lock screen to aosp. Disabled MOD and swipe works perfect now I'm even using a 3rd party camera.

That's strange, I'm able to even use 3rd party cameras with that shortcut.
Do you have any Xposed mods? Someone earlier in the thread was saying something similar, but he ended up having conflicting mods enabled. I don't know what else could be the issue, that's weird.

New YouTube App

So Google released an update to the youtube app with UI changes and other improvements that are indications of Gingerbread. Info can be found here: http://phandroid.com/2010/10/20/youtube-gets-redesigned-gingerbread-version-heads-to-the-market/
So I found it in the market but can't get it to install, even tried unmounting sdcard. Anyone else have luck let me know how you did it
tried it out im running darkstones 3.2 and works perfectly LOVE it actually!!
Thanks for info
Works on mine, NexusHD2-FRG83 V1.4

Ok i found the problem, i made the script to just copy over the files but have now edited it to delete the old app and lib first.
I have tested 4 times and all working aok..
You may need to install the original GB Music.apkV2.zip first as this deletes the associated lib then reboot, then install the new music.apk from honeycomb.
Everyone else should not have a problem.. This directly relates to Michelle..
Enjoy! And hit that thanks button!! lol.

[GUIDE]Notification Power Widgets

I'm tired to see a lot of posts such as: "Does this have notification power widgets ? " , " Will you include them in the next release?" , "Why don't you have a toggle for this and that ?".
You can get them easily:
Get the latest KANG from here
After flashing it, download this apk, copy it into system/app, change permissions with a root explorer, or whatever you want, reboot and enjoy !
Please stop spamming the dev threads, it's annoying for a developer to read the same requests over and over again.
L.E: I forgot to mention that with the apk, you can customize your power widgets to suit your needs.

What if I don't want to use CM but want to have the notification power widgets?

A Kang + CM settings apk = customizable power widgets.
Why do you want every rom to become a CM rom ? You already have one, a very good one if you ask me.

I can't get this to install for the life of me. I've tried several different things including checking all the permission boxes on the CM Settings APK before rebooting..
There's no need to install CMSettings.apk in system.. Just open then file in a file manager and choose Install.
If I open it in a file manager it says Application Not installed. If I open it in Rot Explorer it tells me that there is a problem parsing the package.

Here's the message in case anyone else gets stuck.
Just move the apk to /system/app and the permissions should me first column check all boxes and second column only first box. Then reboot and fix permissions

You know, as much as I was hoping stock ICS would have toggles in the note drawer, putting the settings button in there and having the most common toggles right at the top has been more than sufficient, and saved a bit of screen real estate in the actual note drawer. That and the music controls. I actually don't think this thing is necessary anymore.

[ZIP FLASH] Bypass And Unlock Any Android Lock Screen

My idea is to replace the lock screen data with an empty null data
and the phone will be restored to basic slide to unlock
and from here, you can access your phone and insert new password or pin or pattern...etc
without format or modify any data "settings, media, apps, Rom data ..etc"
So what is it ?
It's a zip file that bypass any unlock screen
-Pattern
-Pin
-Password
-Face
How
Just flash it with CWM
[BACKUP FIRST]
Why to use it?
So you forgot you pass? no need for format..
just download it on external SD-Card then flash it CWM

Thanks bud! I was trying to download this but couldn't figure out the Chinese captcha after i verified my email.
Here are some things I have found after flashing
- Built in root doesn't work for me. Had to flash supersu 2.50 beta.
- Titanium backup crashes
- Camera will launch, but once your try to take picture, it says cannot connect to camera
- Location tile is very iffy. Seems to work sometimes, and not others
- CM file manager does not work
- Can't browse files on computer
These are my quick findings, if I find more, I'll update.

You mean AOSP Paradox? If so, I would have to say no. I haven't flashed that rom, but from what I've read, NFC is stuck to on, wifi makes phone reboot, and RIL doesn't work (won't detect SIM card). All these things work on this CM13 rom.

I never ran the exp. build. Requires way too many tweaks to get things working for my liking. I will say I have been running the original CM13 build posted for about a hour or so now and everything has been stable so far. I listed the small bugs I have found so far in my previous post.
