[IDEA] GenerationSP - Xperia SP General

Hello community,
I have came up with an idea to create a website where only stable ROMs are displayed. The website should NOT be compared to XDA because the website's idea is to sort ROMs by version. So if you are looking for Lollipop ROMs, you can select Lollipop and you get a list of Lollipop ROMs. The website has no ads, no trackers, is compatible with all devices and has a clean design., but I have a problem:
Many people I have asked said that that idea isn't good because most people just use XDA.
Now I'd like to know if I should continue or quit? I'm done with the design, but the website is still in BETA and NOT useable. What do you think about the idea?

If you have other ideas, you can tell me

I see u used the name i came up with

[Q] Daily ROM update

1st I want to say thanks to all the developers that are working on the roms
I feel we need a rom update page that lists al the roms and when they were last worked on. This would make life more easy when it comes to finding out about the latest roms and updates.
What do you guys think ?

Good in theory...but probably going to get more cluttered than the development forum, so we will just have to shuffle through pages to find updates. Unless you're volunteering to keep updating the 1st post
I agree with that. Or at least have the cooks include the date in the title they were last updated. Yes some if them do that, but not all of them.
Well I could give it a go.... see how it turns out. Do you think the cooks could drop me a PM when they make a update then I can add it ?
Are you talking just downloads and dates? There would probably be a hundred threads starting a day since there's not a post with full instructions. It would work well if you put the ROM and date w/ a link to the original thread.

Sorry but that seems pointless. If you really want to make this happen, you can always scour the forum for new builds daily. It's simple enough. There aren't daily updates for all the builds.
maybe something like....
...this?

good format and everyone can update for everyone.

Good layout
Looks very nice and it's easy to find the individual builds.
Thanks alot
great site Mark!! Loved the clean presentability. Looks s/he updates it frequently so Bookmarked!!!
Thanks so much for showing right direction!!
I cant take any credit for the site it was made by a member called ang1.
I think its automatically updated quite frequently so should always contain the latest information.
I have added it to the Stickie Rollup Thread so you can get to it from there or just bookmark it
Mark.
Hi guys,
thanks for the positive comments !! The site is updated every 15 minutes from XDA. It's still not finished, I'm doing some final touches on it . I'm planning to add sorting capabilities on "last update"/"number of views"/replies/"last update"/title etc.
PM me for any feature that you would like to see on it

MIUI english porting project is no more.

I posted this in the N1 forum but realised it applies to several platforms, so for those not reading there...
The main English porting for MIUI is no more, the site (www.miui-dev.com) is gone.
All the details are from the @MiuiDev twitter feed:
http://twitter.com/#!/miuidev
MIUI itself is still in development as usual by the original Chinese devs, the English translation has hit a major speedbump (brick wall?) with this however.
So if anyone comes across the cretins responsible for kicking this project squarely in the cojones, please repay the favour!
This upsets me so much! I hope there's some way to make a comeback...
and it's actually http://twitter.com/#!/miuiandroid where the news is.
It says the forums will remain active. =(
EDIT: Read wrong Twitter first. Boooooo.
is all that can be said, really.
That twitter account hasn't been updated in two weeks, WTF are you talking about?
http://miui.us
Ignore me... didn't read the right twitter post..
Sent from my flux capacitor at 88 MPH.
This will be a great loss for the android rom flashing community. For me Miui had the most polished user interface and experience I had ever seen in any rom. I liked it so much that the availability of this rom was going to be a deciding factor for when I buy a new phone.
According to the latest twitter post Miui english translations might be saved by PaulOBrien of MoDaCo. I do hope the translations continue!
miui isn't going anywhere. There was some falling out so some things happened, that twitter doesnt tell the full story.

ehm, won't it be going on at miui-au.com!? (I have a Desire though..)

The .us doesnt mean United States despite its logo, its a placeholder, the site most of the dev's will be using. I've seen the upcoming forum and there's an Desire section.
Just give them sometime there working on getting it all setup.
Just checked, site is back up. No forum yet.

Not true. All port devices are now on www.miui.us.
You can find all devices there.
What exactly happend? The community split into half, Marhuk with some help from PaulOBrian continues with miuiandroid.com and now miui.us pops out.
What started the argument between the developers that made it necessary to break the community in two?

Indeed, the new miui.us site has just popped up, the developers and that have always worked on it (atleast most of them) are using miuiandroid.com, if you checked the old site they said they where moving, and for a while the old site redirected you to the new one, until the old domain was shut down i guess

[Q] Oh my. I feel kinda stupid posting this.

I have a SM-G900T. I have it rooted with custom recovery. Put a ROM on it... 4.4.2. It's buggy as hell, but, works.
I'm looking and looking for something that will show me, what ROMS are being developed for this device. I see Carbon has a build but it's 4.4.2 and its buggy too (no camera, not haptic...).
Is there a specific page or forum that will SIMPLY, keep me abreast of what ROMS might be coming, stability, release dates etc. Is there such a page or forum for this. Thank you for not complete ridiculing me for not being able to find this. I... have looked.
Ciao

As the poster above suggested. There are actually multiple sub forums that do exactly what you desire, so it's a mystery how you could have missed them all. Perhaps your search skills need practice.
Anyway, enjoy
.
Thank you. But you haven't given me the pages that you allude to.
And your smart comment doesn't really help either. If you know where it is just show me.

You kids. Settle down.
I've been to DEV. I'm not an idiot. But, there really isn't anything specific like...
"NEW CM11 for this device with no bugs coming tomorrow"
"Carbon ROM working to finish its final build of 4.4.4 for this device by January, 2015"
"Development of this ROM is difficult because..... frack"
"4.4.4 releases of AOSP ROMS impossible to develop"
These specific pieces of information, just don't seem to be out there.
I'm just trying to understand why STABLE and updated ROMS just don't seem to be available.
And, if you feel the need to be a jerk, PM me. You can yell at me there.
For the benefit of anyone else reading this thread, there are lots of very stable ROMs available as literally dozens, if not hundreds of threads attest to.

Theres loads m8, but in terms of what you would like no one can really answer that question except yourself, some people like stock some don't, you would have to check a rom's threads main OP and see what features are listed, check some screen shots and see if it's for you, once you're happy, then download it and flash it, keep it minimal and go from there on out as if you don't like it you can flash another one until you're happy with your rom, personally i'd say alliance rom looks like a good one, soley based upon it's theming, but i haven't flashed it as of yet as i'm remaining on stock.
Give it a whirl and see what you think. No one will link to a thread (or shouldn't) as it'd show a biased approach and that sort of stuff is frowned upon on XDA, sarcasm on the other hand is rife and you can do that all day apparently.
Hope you find what you're looking for.

You apparently don't understand software development. No one knows when the next ROM will be released, and it's rude to ask. People do this for free in their spare time. It's ready when it's ready. Don't like it? Do it yourself.

There are plenty of stable ROMs. You must be looking somewhere else. You say you have a G900T. You have a choice between G900T and G900F ROMs.
HERE are G900F and HERE are ROMs for G900T.

[Q] Is this e610 Lollipop ROM real?

I found a Lollipop Rom to e610 on this site:
h(tap out)ttp://(tap out)w(tap out)ww.lollipop-(tap out)rom.org(tap out)/mp3-0/lg(tap out)-optimus-l5(tap out)-e610(tap out)-4571.html
At the time, I was very happy. But they create three links, and all of them had survey. Ultimately, I was suspicious and decided to talk with the masters.
I know what I did with the link is not right, but I ask you to understand my motives

This is a 100% phishing website, it is well done but it s a fake!!!! Do not try to enter your number os similar data on these kind of websites.
If you look better they posted also "roms" for other phones with same words and same comments too :/
Thanks!

Analysing the site, we can see that it is well done, with a nice html, but if you look at writing, you can see it's very well explained and dedicated to beginners (the only way to fall), and gives no information about the Rom (if it is AOSP, Unofficial CM...), and we're accustomed to people here who give little information, and dedicated to those who know at least enough to install one yourself Rom.
Sorry my english, i'm doing my best.

MHA-L29C635B160 for Japanese Mate 9 Spotted.

Update log is very sketchy regarding what will be supported. It doesn't give any details.
This is a full release, not a beta, but it's nowhere to be found on public Huawei update servers as of yet.
I've got it installed and have not seen any major differences from other versions yet.
Unfortunately, still no VoLTE
Things are getting interesting
Is there a lot of Japanese text still there after choosing English as device language? Does hivoice work in English I wonder?

There is no Japanese text after choosing English. It's actually got the least junkware of any build I've tried so far.

My job is finding firmwares and making them available to install. That's what I do, 12 hours a day.
I have been contacted by XDA directly with XDA expressing interest in the details of the firmware I find. Many people on this forum want to know about new versions and changes in upcoming versions.
When I find something, I'll announce it, of course. If there is another way to download and install it, feel free to use it. I'm not stopping you.

Seems because forum moderation and news portions of the site are kept up separately. Anyway, it's very off topic, so if you want to discuss it, why not open a new thread?
