[Q] Nexus 7, OTG and OEM Wifi conflict?

Nexus 7 + Charge + Wifi= OK
Nexus 7 + OTG Charge + Wifi = Fail
Searched everywhere for this conflict to no avail. My Nexus 7 resides in my BMW X5 (Will link video below) and only recently did I discover a problem that meets these conditions: When I have my Nexus 7 charging via OTG cable, I cannot connect to a wifi network. I can enable wifi, but it will just hang and will not see, update or connect to any connections. The moment I pull the OTG cable, I can connect to a network.
My initial car install did not include OTG cable and eternal storage. I remember it working (and in my install video) wifi and charge happened simultaneously. It was when I followed these steps to root, the above started happening.....
Installed Universal_Naked_Driver_0.72 for Nexus 7
Downloaded timur-usbhost-2013-01-29-jb42-*fi.zip and put in root folder of Nexus 7
Rooted Successfully w/ motochopper n7 (No wipe)
Backed up All aps and system settings (Titanium BackupPro)
Downloaded ROM Manager ClockworkMod Touch and used ROM Install option to point to timur file above.
I have re-visited Timur's website and looking for solution but I am left stumped.

[Q] nexus 7 awus036h ebable as wifi?

Hi guys and gals, got serious headache for you lol, How do i enable the external alfa antenna awus036h to work as wifi instead of the internal one ?
so far i installed kali pwnpad rom and updated gapps and running on 4.2.2 jellybean with that a4 tweak apk in that other thread , now got it flashing when i have it plugged in and reboot nexus 7 but wifi wont stay on keeps switching on and off constantly.
I also noticed when i first tried to switch wifi on for a very split second i could see loads of wifi access points lol.
Any ideas on how to disable the stock internal wifi so it only works on the external antenna?

[RESOLVED] External devices via usb (on Nexus 7 3G)

Hello,
First, I must say that I read many articles, tutorials and threads before, without any positive results so I decided to ask this question. I don't know why I cannot connect external device to my Nexus 7 3G (tilapia). Actually, my tablet's working on CyanogenMod 10.2 unofficial and is based on its kernel. It's even unable to detect device in recovery mode (I've flashed TWRP 2.6.1). I can add that I'm using otg-usb cable which has been included in my set of purchasing. I don't know is it important but my pendrive doesn't see to be ready to use while it's connected via cable because the micro diode is off wheres after connect to my computer it's always on (twinkle or shine). Of course I've installed StickMount app and others similar free for mounting devices and file explorers from Google Store. Additionally, Icon "Mount USB Storage" in Settings->Storage is constantly off (unable to touch). I'm waiting for your suggestions.

EDIT.
I resolved it. The issue was responding to my cable. I've used the wrong one because I didn't know that it was from the other tablet than this one. I connected my device via new one and it's working perfectly now. Excuse for bothering you.

Enabled OTG: Some Questions About...

I have enabled OTG support for my p9 Lite, thanks to the information here (I assume it is working, as I can't charge, or connect to PC, when script is running). I am attempting to achieve the following, if possible?
-connect & run Logitech C270 webcam that will be modified to work as an astrophotographical web-camera
What I am trying to ascertain is:
-what type of OTG cable I can use? Any type, or does it need to be a microUSB2.0 version?
-Do webcams even work with this? Only info I can find refers to using {flash}drives.

My phone is VNSL22C706B130. It would appear not all cables works with this particular phone build; if indeed any. I bought a Digitus cable -DK300204-002-S VPR. 1-0-. It works on my old Samsung SII, & recognises the flash drive. It does NOT work on my P9 Lite. I have tried different makes of flash drives, in various formats: no-go.
What's the easiest way to check that Scriptrunner is actually working properly? I have double-checked that the OTG folder permissions are as needed. I even added write into both group & other categories, to test. Does anything else need to be checked eg. 'SetUID', 'Set GID', etc. Thanks.
Anyone else with a New Zealand P9 Lite build got OTG working?

You can enable it but it doesn't work reliably. I was using a dragonfly DAC via otg and the sound screwed up every few minutes.
Swap it for a Honor 6x if you want otg.

Cheers. I'll probably go down another route & get a tablet to control the webcam.

Chinese AC8227L mtk - USB issue

Hi all,
I brick unit 2 days ago after bad flash with Mekede Root.img via SDCard and now unit start with black screen, I only hear the cd running 2 sec and nothing else.
Problem on this unit, I never had USB connexion with my pc or my Samsung device (on each 2 slots) when android was alive, so now it's bricked, I opened unit and I'm searching everywhere.
When I plugged USB on pc without 12v, I hear CD inside. When I start with 12V + acc, it's the same, but nothing and black screen.
I installed all drivers MTK from the web lol nothing. I tried to solder a USB cable on USB that goes to the CD in parallel (because I hear something so it's working) but no success. I have 2 pc, 2 different cable so it's not related, I tried all combinations with button / reset (10 sec, 30sec etc).

BTW when I plugged sdcard with .img / .upd / .bin, nothing works
Where could I watch to activate this damn USB ? is it really impossible to do something ?

Hi no I didn't. I bought a new unit PX30 rockchip witch is not seen either by my pc... but it's working so I don't touch anymore.

Everything works fine but I'm having problems with the USB ports.. the 3 usb ports charge my phone but they don't read any usb drive with music. I don't know if this is a hardware or software problem.. I've tried formatting several usb drives (4gb , 1gb, 64gb) in fat32 but none of them are read by any usb port of the headunit.
Please, help me! and thanks in advance..
