Yoga 2 Pro vs Thinkpad Tablet 2 - Thinkpad Tablet General

Hi,
I have a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro tablet which I got as a gift and I'm rarely using it coz of the size and Android. I'm Web a Developer so to do some on-the-go coding, I thought to exchange this with a portable windows tablet and I got some offers from Thinkpad Tablet owners. Neither Thinkpad Tablet nor Yoga Tablet 2 pro are selling in my region so I dont have the proper idea about the actual region based price.
Is it worth to exchange my Yoga Tablet 2 pro with a 64GB Thinkpad tablet? I know my one has a good display and additional features such as Projector, Subwoofer, stand etc.. but what is the point if I'm not using them. If you were me, would you consider exchange this?
Regards

[Q] Anyone have two tablets?

I have had a flyer 7" tablet for about a month now and I really enjoy it's portability, and handwriting for work. I also picked up a GT 10.1 over the weekend. I am really impressed with the GT, but the lack of portability and lack of handwriting makes it a lessor choice for work. I am considering keeping the 10.1 for home browsing and the flyer for work. I was just curious if anyone else has two tablets.
i've got 5 ATM, and may be down to 4 after this weekend.
the gt10.1 is my general use tablet.
ipad - also general use and for gaming.
archos 101 - media player/carputer. crappy screen but plays just about anything. i was hoping to replace it with a tegra2, but tegra2 is can't handle mkv's and highprofile hd very well.
galaxy tab 7 - ebook reader - that's about all it's for.
transformer - general use, but may go back as the galaxy tab offers more of what i want from a tablet. plus qc on the transformer is pretty bad; this is my 3rd unit.
I have GT 10.1 & 7" Nook Color. The 7" format is better for portability and reading books. I have thought about upgrading the Nook Color to the Flyer. I also have an HP TM2t Windows 7 tablet for when I actually want to produce/create something. It is a 12.1" format. I can run Photoshop and Lightroom on it ... two big apps for me.
I own the Blackberry Playbook and the Samsung 10.1.
I had the Motorola Xoom and now the 10.1. I gave the Xoom to my dad for fathers day so now I'm back down to just one.
I still have 2 galaxy tab 10.1 units lol (locked white 16gb from launch, and unlocked metallic gray 32gb) and the new nook simple touch
Ipad 1 and my Galaxy 10.1
I use the iPad for web browsing since my tab likes to randomly crash
really hope some of these bugs get sorted out
have a few
ipad2 3g 32gb
galaxy tab 10.1 32gb
playbook 16gb
nook color with cm7 (gingerbread)
I used to have the zoom, gave it to a coworker. I have the ipad1, and 2. I also have the gt7", and the Asus eee slate. The slate is used for work, and by far my favorite. The gt 10.1 is in second place. My original ipad is now soley a gaming and Netflix device for my children. The ipad2 is my wife's primary device for everything. I did not like the zoom in my hand plus I had a lot of fc's; a problem that I believe now corrected. The gt7" is now not used as I prefer my Sony e-reader for reading. I love the size and weight of this new galaxy tab. It will be my primary browsing and messaging device sitting around the house, and once Netflix is available... my watching anime in bed device.

if you're looking for something like the flyer except bigger...there's a rumor that htc is announcing the 10 in. htc puccini on june 27th. google it forsure.
Received retail Galaxy 10.1, 16gb yesterday from Frys. Officially with 2 tablets now together with Galaxy 7". Unlocked, time to root.
I have the original 7" GT and a 10.1 GT. I go back and forth. Using either for most any task. The 10" is faster to WiFi connect but throughput is the same. I love Pulse on the 10.1 but TV.com is better on the 7" (does not play well with Honeycomb). The 10.1 is my choice when sitting up but the 7" is better while reading in bed. The 10.1 is much faster downloading movies from my Vulkano. I guess there's no 802.1n on the 7"
I had a nook color for a cpl months knew I was in love with honeycomb but not the nook. Also have had a 7" in gtab. I just added a gtab 10.1 and love it. Looking into acer's win 7 version of the iconia for my wife she needs win apps for work.

I would highly recommend a trusted brand, Asus or Dell etc, therefore id recommend either the Dell venue pro(http://www.amazon.com/Dell-Venue-Pro-Tablet-Windows/dp/B00FEE7B1I)
or
The Asus t100ta, http://www.amazon.com/Transformer-T...UTF8&qid=1396749319&sr=1-1&keywords=asus+t100
Thanks, I prefer Dell and i do not want a laptop. But the screen size is not enough for me, do u have other recommendations?
PS: I hope the price should not be high or it will exceed my budget.
Dell Venue 8 Pro, i have one and they are great for the price.
Saw this review of the Acer Iconia w3:
http://www.channelpronetwork.com/re...ginal-8-inch-windows-tablet-still-stands-tall
I'd say it would depend on what features your looking for: 10" screen vs 8", HDMI out, Dedicated USB port, Wacom Digitizer, 1080 screen resolution.
That's really the main differences on the tablets right now as most the cheaper ones feature almost the exact same atom processor and 2 GB ram.
My Opinion: (These exclude the more expensive Core based tablets)
Best for Price - Dell Venue 8 Pro
Best for Productivity - Asus Transformer Book and Keyboard Dock
Others:
Lenovo Thinkpad 8 - Gives you a 1080 screen and a HDMI port
Asus VivoTab Note 8 - Wacom Digitizer
U can find some great features in Dell, test and hope u like it!

[Q] win 8/8.1 tablet...

I want to buy a tablet pc. So plz suggest me which should i buy (around Rs. 35000). And can u guys tell me which is better Dell Venue 8 pro or Lenovo thinkpad tablet 2?
How much does the lenovo thinkpad 2 cost in INR?
The tp2 currently available in India as per Lenovo website seems to be the second Gen atom not the current baytrail.
If you want stylus support then the choice seems to be tp2, dvp8 and Acer iconia ones and Asus t1000.
Of these only the dell has latest baytrail rest all have second Gen atoms.
Asus vivotab would be nice but not launched officially in India yet.

So dell venue 8 pro (quad core & only 8 inch, easy to use by one hand) will be best, right?
And what about hp omni 10?
The up omni seems to lack any stylus ...if you are okay with that and the ten inch screen the that is certainly an option.

Can I run odin (without keyboard & mouse) in these tablets?
And one more question, can i use usb modem or broadband connection to browse internet ( i have not wifi) on venue 8 pro?
Don't know about Odin but desktop applications should run but not sure how comfortably without keyboard and mouse
USB modems with sim cards should work with a micro usb to usb OTG cable
Am planning to get one of these by next week can test things out for you and let you know if you can wait a while

Ok. But i think acer iconia w4 will be better than dell venue 8 pro bcoz the w4 has a micro hdmi port and also it supports external hard drive via usb.

Actually both do and do not simultaneously. Both devices support full USB communications, there is no limitation on whether they are compatible with 3g modems, game controllers, sound devices, hard drives etc besides drivers and one major thing that both devices fail on. Power. Neither device can supply more than 100mA of current, most hard drives need nearly 500.
Ok. Thx guys. So I decide to buy the dell venue 8 pro.
i like the asus t100
But asus t100 has not rear camera(only 1.2mp webcam), native stylus and it is also not usable by one hand....

Tablet within 200€ - Lenovo Yoga 2 8" - LG G Pad 10.1 V700

Hello everyone ,
I have to give a tablet to my wife, (there is some nervousness in the house , and I thought to calm tempers) must not surpass 200 €.
Between 8 and 10 inches and possibly with good support of the online community (then with root available etc ...)
I noticed:
Lenovo Yoga 2 8 "(only wifi) 59426324 of which I really liked the design, the fact that he had 2GB of RAM, FullHD, reclining positions.
From the site but do not know if it has GPS and Bluethoot, if it supports micro sdxc, and if the graphics card can handle game fast type Rail Rush (my wife with the Sony Xperia E4G suffered slowdowns and there can play ).
Last thing I do not understand why costs less than buying it from the same Lenovo site.
And LG G Pad 10.1 (V700) that is LG brand with which I have always enjoyed it, few frills of installed programs, 10-inch, battery good. But I found on the internet only the root.
I thank whoever answers :fingers-crossed:
there is no one who knows me advise? sigh :crying:

Is this tablet goof to take notes?

what do you think of this tablet to take notes at the university, read and edit pdf? There is also an "apple pen" for this huawei?I think that the screen is too small and maybe a 10'' would be better
A 10" inch tablet would be more amenable for note taking.
This tablet could work but it would be cramped. Reading would be fine.

No. Overall this is one of the best tablets right now. I've been using it for 2 months now and I would buy it again instantly. But DO NOT buy it if you want to take notes. 10" tablets offer more space, especially if you also want to view and edit pdf files which don't scale easily. Most pdfs are hard to read on a <10" tablet. And one of the only weaknesses of the tablet is the accuracy and speed of the touchscreen. I've got a generic stylus for touch display that works mediocre on very good screens and definitely doesn't work good on the MediaPad.
Right now, if you want to take notes on a (pure) tablet, iPad Pro 9.7" in combination with the Apple Pen is the best solution. You can also get good accessories like keyboard covers that are not available in that quality for the MediaPad.
If you prefer Android or Windows, have a look at the Yoga Book. Good in certain areas, but it would be too special for me. I would prefer a real tablet and a real notebook instead of a combination of both. If you have the money, the only device that REALLY fulfils both needs is a Microsoft Surface Pro 4. Perhaps you can get a good price with a student discount.
(If you want an Android Tablet, you can also wait ~2 weeks, Samsung will announce the Tab S3 with native pen support.)

unfortunately I need a tablet now and I cannot wait anymore...
I'm searching for a good android tablet(not a 2 in 1 device) because iPad Pro and surface are too expensive for me... 300 euros more or less is a good price, so what do you suggest as a 9,7'' or 10'' android tablet?
I've also seen Asus zenpad 3s 10 but I don't like it so much the zen UI and I've seen that the gflops of its GPU is only 40 more or less while the One of the mediapad is 122 more or less, so I think that the Asus is not so powerful
I would say it would be fine for pen notes if it's in landscape mode, and portrait mode would work too depending on your handwriting.
