Sky Sport Channels - Fire TV General

Hello, i wanna know if exist one pluggin to sky sport channels, sport devil is one but the links are down and other no, navi-x the same problem, i want to know if exist one to that good channels please.
Thanks

You could use the PVR simple client live TV plugin for XBMC/Kodi. It provides access to over 1000 live streams including many sports channels including SS. I have it installed on my Fire TV and it works well.

I mostly use p2p streams to watch football. you can find xml parsers for it if you google it and you'd be able to watch sports in high resolutions.

nvm

Yep, p2p streams is good for sport.
You can also watch acestream channels without XBMC and p2p streams.
Side load acestream engine from here http://dl.acestream.org/products/acestream-engine/android/armv7/latest
Side load Torrent Stream controller from here http://www.vidsoftware.ru/wp-content/releases/torrent-stream-controller-1.5.9.apk
Side load MX player from market.
Start Stream Controller (it works fine with AFT remote). In channels select Sport. Click on any channel. After buffering is completed select MX Player as video player.
P.s. Free version on Stream Controller sometimes has 15 seconds delay before start playing channel...

Is there any reason or advantage for streaming it outside of XBMC ?

I personally feel stream is lagging less in Stream Controller/MX Player, but may be just placebo ... Try it... The only problem in Stream Controller - it's reminders about full version

And BTW you can also stream torrent files through it. In any file browser (or Dropbox app) click on torrent file and then open in Stream Controller.

That has now been removed and as it stands now wont return

I dont't know but for me p2p addon for XBMC does not work anymore on the FireTV since Version 1.1.3.
Does it still work for you guys?

Sportsdevil is good too, pakindia too and p2p i think its working yet

So which ones are still active/working & which ones are not...

SportDevil hardly ever works for me, I can't find anything to stream in HD without issue. So frustrating.

To give you guys more Detail:
For me the XBMC p2p-addon used to work just fine but since version 1.1.3 (and 1.1.5 now) it just doesn't work anymore.
When I start a stream it gets stuck at the point "Pre-buffering" Seeds:0 Download: 0/kbs
So it seems like it's not connecting to any seeds... or the built-in acestrem engine shuts down?!
When I try to sideload the external acestrem engine app, it always shuts down when I try to launch it.

I have found a quick fix that works for me. When I run it, it normally just flashes back into fired tv. When It does this I just go to es explorer in the usb storage folder and just delete the acestream.org folder.
When you run acestream again it runs perfectly again.
It always works for me.

PS3 Media Server works well for streaming media. Asumming you're sharing the correct format and resolution. It's free and very easy to setup.
Upn in the market along with rockplayer or moboplayer also in the market. Along with HDMI cable works great.

I convert my videos with handbrake for my A500 and then access them via Tonido. There's an android client on the market. Works great, videos buffer for a bout 5 seconds over wifi then start playing.

My set-up. PS3 Media Server on the PC. UPnPlay and MoboPlayer on the tab. It works for me.
+1 on subsonic.
great thing about subsonic is you don't have to be on the same network to use it. i stream to my tab while i'm at work sharing the net from phone. i have to admit the quality isn't great. but it gets the job done.
for the DLNA setups i'm pretty sure you have to be on the same network.
I've never used plex since i'm a linux user.
has anyone tried orb yet? that might be another one to look into.

I'd like to buy a NAS Server for my transformer to use the DLNA capability, any idea

I'd like to stream all my content to my tablet/pc's/phones, I was going to buy a QNAP TS-110 but first I wanted to make sure it's compatible.
I don't care a bout a specific model if you have any hints let me know (about 100/150€), 2TB should be enough for me (mainly streaming music and tv series)

Any DLNA server should work
I use a buffalo NAS with UPnPlay + Moboplayer
HD Streaming works like crap over DLNA on this device for whatever reason.
If the device supports HTTP server, use that for HD streaming.

I strongly disagree.
The stock DLNA client/renderer, MyNet, works very well for all the audio/video formats that the Android platform supports.
Transformer with UPnPlay + Moboplayer works great with my Synology NAS. But if you only use it to stream videos, this is a bit of an overkill.
As a great home NAS with DLNA bonus video streaming it works great

The one thing to consider with DLNA is which formats are configured on the host and which are allowed on the client.
My personal DLNA is my Win7 PC with an attached USB HDD. I can use this to stream any file to my TV or my TF. I have noticed some of the video titles not appearing on one or other device but this changes when using something like uPnPlay as the client.
Whatever DLNA NAS you get try the Skifta app, it seems to work well and lets you choose the video player on the Transformer. I have Moboplayer and Vplayer, sometimes one plays better than the other.
UPnPlay looks interesting, I'm going to give it a try. I fear that Skifta may charge once it's out of beta.
I am very interested in this subject and want to report my results, but do not know how to get DLNA working. Can someone describe how I can test my NAS's (ReadyNAS Pro) DLNA capabilities from my TF? What do I have to configure and what app(s) should I run.
I love my ReadyNAS Ultra 4 (upgraded from an older NV+). It will stream 720p just fine to my Samsung TV, 1080p is too choppy though. Pretty sure that's an issue with the TV, not the NAS.
I could have sworn I fiddled with streaming from the NAS to my Transformer using DLNA, but don't remember any of the details offhand.
If you get a new router that supports TOMATO with USB ports, you can attach a hard drive and stream movies directly from it using UPNPPLAy and MOBOplayer...
I'm running Tomato on the ASUS RT-16N router with a 500GB USB2.0 hard drive attached. It work great, I stream all my movies from there.
Best part: Low Power Consumption!
This one is compatible, and you can see HD content too

I can access all my media files even by just using the File Expert.

I have had a synology Nas for a few years, they are hands down by far the best nas for home use on the market!!
Also if you use ES file explorer you dont need DLNA, you can stream media files directly from a file share!! The latest version was updated two days ago and it works great on both my phone and my tablet!

What do you use to stream content from PC to Nexus 7 ?

I want to stream movies and other stuff wirelessly from my pc to N7. I am thinking to get Plex for Android. Are there any other (preferably free ) options. like setting up a UPnP server or an ftp server on pc and then use some app that supports it.
If rooted - yes: install a kernel that includes cifs support and then use play app cifsmanager to mount network shares made available on your PC. Your shares will appear as part of the local filesystem tree (under /mnt/cifs by default) so any app can then access network content.

if you want a nice "front end" to browse your library then BubbleUpnp is the go. Hook that up with the free Plex server on the pc and away you go.
Otherwise, if you just want to browse the network with a file manager, thats not hard either.

I use "Emit" to stream downloaded movies from my Windows box. I was so pleased with the free version, I bought the adfree version for less tham £3.
I have to say that this is the only video streaming app I tried so the other recommendations here may be better but I was blown away when, while being driven up the M11 at 80mph, I tethered to my ageing HTC Desire and streamed a movie from my Win7 machine back at home. (Admittedly, I only ran the movie briefly as a test, so it may glitch after some time). Also a tethered demo to some mates in the pub last night worked flawlessly.
It goes without saying that wifi streaming also works perfectly.
Another slightly different streaming use: Additional to the above Windows machine, I have an Ubuntu machine running MythTV+Apache+Mythweb which I use as my PVR (Personal Video Recorder). I found that when using the Maxthon browser on the Nexus 7, I was able to browse to the Mythweb page generated by my MythTV box and click on the "Direct Download" option of one of my recorded programs. It then offered me the option of "Download" or "Play". (It's worth noting here that neither Chrome or Firefox offered this choice - they just began downloading the recording) If I select "Play" and then select the MX Player, the recorded program begins streaming perfectly.
Hope this helps
If you're rooted you can stream for free. I'm using ES File Explorer and Dice Player. Works great for me with little setup. Just load up the samba server inside ES with you're pc's ip address and start streaming. I tried a few others but this one works the best for me. No lag when watching movies or listening to music. :good:
I tried quite a few players including MX Player before settling on BS Player. For me it seems to be the best when streaming MKVs over WiFi.
I use UPnPlay here. Basically just plugging my devices into the allshare setup I'm using between my PC and TV.

This indicates that the TV is not getting and decoding the DoVi layer. In order to get DoVi to work on many TVs you have to switch HDMI format from standard to enhanced. I don't think that this applies to the TVs internal apps and OS but it might be good to look for something like that.
Have you set dynamic range to adaptive under fireOS settings? Is this happening in multiple apps?

Ah ok, yeah I was wondering if you were talking about commercial apps or video players.
A lot of video players don't support DoVi. I don't think Nova Player does:
Dolby Vision doesn't work · Issue #383 · nova-video-player/aos-AVP
I just tried two Dolby Vision files with the latest Google Play release, and neither displayed DV. File 1 (No HDR10): https://sylvan.apple.com/Aerials/2x/Videos/SE_A016_C009_HDR_20190717_3m30s_HDR_...

I haven't had any major problems playing DoVi in Plex. The one problem I have noticed is that DoVi files using an .MP4 containers don't play without a lot of buffering. Remuxing to MKV (MKVtoolnix) makes them play fine.
So the good news is it isn't you, it's your app.

I would see if you can install the Plex server on the DLink NAS and then run the Plex client on the FireTV. This will give you the most pleasant and lightweight interface.
