Anybody on a custom rom get chromecast mirroring to work? I've tried C-rom and Paranoid Android and can't get the screen mirroring to work. The latest chromecast update supports the galaxy s4 and I just can't get it to work. From the app, there's no way to cast or mirror my device and under settings>display>Cast Screen doesn't find my chromecast either.

I', thinking of moving away from samsung and over to the new Nexus 5 when it comes out, however i need screen mirroring (miracast) Anyone using screen mirroring to a latest model samsung TV, does it work, what's it like?
Was just curious if anyone found a fix for screen mirroring my phone is rooted I noticed there is work arounds for other devices does anyone know of one for the VZW Note 3?

I'm rooted and safestrapped and running on beans ROM and mirror works fine thru MHL adapter... typing this out on my flatscreen with bluetooth mouse and keyboard as we speak... just got done playing GTA with sixaxis PS3 controller and all that mirrored well also. (Eats battery like crazy though)
I am talking about thru my samsung all share cast hub you press screen mirroring and it does not connect there is a fix for the note tablet 2014 and other samsung devices but i do not think there is one for this one.

I've been looking if there was a way to get the mirroring to function with any rendering device... I have multiple htpcs in my house all with xbmc, I can send video music whatever to it being xbmc broadcasts the pc on the network as a dmr device, but the stock mirroring on the phone doesn't recognize it
Did you find a solution yet? I've been trying to do it with the Fire TV stick. It finds it, says it's connecting but won't connect.
Hi All. I bought my son a Tab 4 7.0 and he wants to use the Samsung TV in the kids room to do Screen Mirroring. Does this device support it? If not natively anyone have an idea? I tried the Chromecast app and casting but I can't get the Tab to cast the screen.
No it doesn't support screen mirroring and to use the chromecast app you have to make sure its on the same network and try using localcast from google play to cast to the screen.

My NP runs under the original ROM, (6.0.1).
It works well when I cast Youtube or a video thru the cast option.
The screen mirroring only cast audio, the screen remains black.
I use a nexus 5 under CM13 to send the cast. It was working well with my previous TV that was supporting mirroring (a smart sony).
I have tried to connect the NP to my Nexus 5 access point. The problem is the same.
I really don't know in witch way I need to search...
Any ideas ?

Just need to uninstall updates of Google Cast Receiver and update it again !

My grandpa would like to watch YouTube on his living room TV, and you never say no to your grandpa
So, I recalled Galaxy S3 has Miracast support for mirroring and I ordered a Miracast dongle. However, It seems he don't have Galaxy S3, but a Galaxy S3 Neo+. I couldn't find any option to turn on Miracast on the stock phone (even though it has WiFi Direct) and when download an app from the market, it indeed opens Miracast/mirroring settings windows I could not access from the Settings, but scanning does not seems to work at all.
Anyone had managed to get Miracast working on S3 Neo? I prefer not to root and install a new ROM if possible.
