[Q] SM-N900W8 stuck in bootloop after flashing with odin!!! - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

This has probably been mentioned before...but I will try anyways. I tried galaxynote3root*dot*com/galaxy-note-3-root/how-to-root-galaxy-note-3/ but it didn't work. Then I tried CF-Auto-Root-hltecan-hlteub-smn900w8 and it put my phone in a permanent boot loop and says recovery is not seandroid enforced!!! This is my work phone so I really hope someone can help.:crying:

So it says that about recovery and then what? You must give more info.
But I'll save you the trouble.
Go into download mode and flash stock firmware and start over. Do not use cf auto root this time. Lets get your device working. I can easily help you but you must follow my direction

I don't think download mode can be messed up unless in a very serious instances.
Just to make sure, here's how to access download mode;
- remove battery and put back in but don't press power
- press Vol Down + Power + Home Button all at the same time until the warning message appears on the screen, then let go of all the buttons
- press Vol Up to enter download mode

If you cannot put your phone in download mode through button presses, then I think you're only option is a jig short of sending it in for a repair.

Actually I tried DL mode right after hey_joe mentioned it just to see if I missed anything but it didn't work. I had tried it before as well but figured why not try it again. Both recovery and download modes are inaccessible. The only things I have done are the 2 processes I mentioned above, then I tried to get into DL (power, home, volume down) but no warning message came up...it just rebooted. and recovery mode (power home and up) a few times but got frustrated after it kept simply rebooting. I finally called a Telus tech support and they told me to try kies but it won't even detect the phone at all.
If I send this in will they be able see that I messed with the phone and void the warranty?

Like I said, you can easily get into download mode by using a jig so they would see knox tripped ( if yours was ) and also the custom system not to mention that when you power it on, it will show " Seandroid enforcing, etc... ). So yes I'm guessing they might charge you for an easy fix.

galaxynote3root*dot*com/galaxy-note-3-root/how-to-root-galaxy-note-3/
replace *dot* with . and it become a hyperlink. I used that tutorial and then when I restarted my phone after I saw that it didn't do anything i then did CF Autoroot. Then after everything was done I got the error and am unable to boot into download or recovery.

Try to remove battery & wait about 30 minutes.
Then put it back & press power. It works for me one week ago with the same issue.
Sorry my english

Disconnect the usb cable and then battery pull. I had the same problem. If u battery pull while thr usb cable is plugged in it is still getting power.

I had the same problem. Pull the battery out and in again and press vol down, home and powerbutton till you get in download mode. Then volume down to restart phone. It will restart as normal.
The solution of this warning for me was to try different Odin (where the box is yellow instead of blue) and install CWM recovery.

Phone wont boot!!!!

I found an update on kies so i looked around and saw that i had to unroot and un lagfix(oclf) so i did that and started the update, an error stopped the phone from backing up so i carried on without a backup because i dont have anything thats very important on my phone. The update file downloaded and i got to the point where you have to unplug the phone and then plug it back in. I did that and when it turned back on it reached the galaxy s screen then went black and now it just vibrates every couple of minutes.
i already tried taking out battery, sim card, sd card
any ideas?
Sounds like you need Odin.
whats odin?
How does it work?
Factory reset first .
# Also firmware Kies emergency firmware recover .
Or Samsung service centre .
Failure at boot is usually wrong firmware or lagfix on .
ODIN is an alternative unofficial method of installing firmware on your phone .
jje
how can i factorz reset without being able to boot up
how can i use odin to flash samsung firmware back onto my phone
try using the 3 button combo method entering recovery mode by switching your phone off, press up+home+power key for a couple of seconds then it will enter recovery mode, try making a factory reset there, then reboot your phone, try if it will work, if it still doesn't work, then go to the development section and read how to flash a new firmware via odin then.
ive tried the three button combo several times but it just keeps on trying to boot, i think its one of the galaxy s phones that has it disabled
any other way to enter recovery mode
Can you get into download mode ??
Power + Vol Down + Home .

The method in the thread I posted uses adb (via computer) to force your phone into download mode which you then flash a bootloader with working 3br which will then let you into download/recovery indefinitely, it worked for me.
Or you could make/buy a jig- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=819551
Just to clear out this is not the problem to get into Recovery or Download Mode.
3-Button-Combo: Starting from a powered off phone, buttons must be pressed untill the screen lights up.
Then release all the buttons.

I just plugged the phone into the computer ran adb download.bat and phone was instantly put into download mode and recognised by odin.
If you are not confident or it's not working make/buy yourself a jig, this will put your phone into download mode and you can then flash whatever you wish through odin.
i live in switzerland and wouldnt know where to buy or how to make a download jig
i think im just gonna take it back to the store to get it replaced
learn how to flash with odin next time. i ditch kies a long time ago

can't get into download more....

I TRIED EVERYTHING the phone will NOT get into download mode... i forgot my got damn password to my gmail and now i cant even activate the phone.. i found out i can use odin3 but the thing is no matter what i do it will NOT go into download mode
Pull battery. Plug phone and computer using usb cable. Hold both volume up and down. Insert battery. Works everytime unless of course you flashed i9000 boot loaders in which case only hold either up or down.

If you are completely stock, then use Kies to update to the latest official stock ROM, this will fix your 3 button issue via a SBL fix.

boot loops at recovery???

So I have done some searching but nothing I've tried help or not the same issue.
I was trying to root everything seemed to go fine. Phone reboots and now all it does is goes to a screen with blue letter at the top left that says recovery and then reboots. I've tried to power button home button volume key combo same thing happens. Phone keeps looping, so I pull the battery. As soon as I put it back in it starts looping again, even without me trying to turn it on.
Am I screwed? I have tried adb but it cant find the device, I assume because it keeps rebooting. Does Samsung have something like the HTC RUU or would that not matter because of the boot loop?
Any help would be great!
Thanks

If you cannot get into download or recovery mode by using the
Home+VolumeDown+PowerButton or Home+VolumeUP+PowerButton
then you will need to purchase a "USB JIG" from an online store or from
eBay, it's very inexpensive $5.00 or less shipped.
You plug it into the USB port of the phone after the phone is fully
powered down. After doing that it takes less than 3 seconds for
the phone to go into "download mode" automatically.
Once its in download mode and you unplug the jig you can Odin
flash the official stock firmware/rom and have a fresh start.
I have been using a JIG for years on many models of Samsung Android
phones and it works GREAT! It even worked perfectly on a friends HTC.
Good luck!

Did I just hard brick my phone?

I was on efficient rom 3.3 and wanted to update to 3.4 but I was on some older versions of bootloader and modem so I wanted to update them first before moving to efficient rom 3.4. So I downloaded the BPHJ BL and CP for 935F, opened Odin and successfully flashed the files from download mode, it said the flash was successful and the phone attempted to reboot (as it normally does after an Odin flash), and now it's stuck at the Samsung logo with a red "recovery is not seandroid enforcing" in upper left corner. I try to boot into download mode by volume up+power+home button, the phone tries to do it but it gets stuck again at the same screen. If I plug my phone to the PC now, Odin doesn't even recognize it, it doesn't say added or anything, it's like the phone is not even connected.
I know I flashed the correct files because they are for the 935F (exynos international - my phone).
How the hell did this happen? Is the phone dead? Can I try anything else?
You have to get into download mode, otherwise it's normal that ODIN doesn't see anything.
Keep trying to get into DL mode. I've read several times here that people had the same problems with getting into DL mode while being stuck in a bootloop, but eventually succeeded after a lot of tries.

Yes the vol up was a mistake, I know up is for recovery and down for download mode. I tried booting into download mode and I still can't do it. I opened this up in the efficient rom thread and yes, I ran into this problem because I wasn't aware I needed the latest twrp version.
Anyway, I try booting into download mode by vol down+power+home and it doesn't work. I try vol dow+power and as soon as the screen goes black I keep holding on the home button as well, without releasing vol down and power. Still not working. The screen goes but instead of booting into download mode it goes back to the Samsung logo with the seandroid enforcing error. This is the first time I can't boot into download mode.

Yes, that's how I usually do it. It doesn't work. I'm thinking of going with the phone for a warranty repair but I'm worried that red seandroid enforcing error will raise questions about root. I booted into download mode a lot of times before, I know how to do it, it just doesn't work.

You're not hard bricked or you wouldn't have any thing showing on your screen.
First hold the power and volume down buttons only til it black screens then as soon as it does hold buttons for download Mode. It sometimes takes many times.
I've also read quite a few people let the phone die then plug it in to charge and then hold the buttons for download Mode.
That's how a friend of mine got his in download Mode.

seandroid enforcing error means the device can't load the security policy cuz u voided warranty
you could always say something like your kid was playing with it and it went into a bootloop or that there was an OTA update and it stoped midway and now your phone wont boot up hope for the best if they decline u goto another store to have it replaced/fixed some ppl arent knowledgeable about voiding warranty and issue a replacement
