Should we buy or wait s4 due to screen or other issues? - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I want to know from expert guys who have bought S4 or those who have expert ideas about screen smearing or other issues with S4, kindly advise me should we buy S4 right now or should we wait, or should we consider iPhone5 which does it all in good way but just smaller display or even HTC One?
Advice required?

How can you even consider iPhone 5 is beyond me...
Wait to see if the problems get fixed I guess. HTC One is the next best thing.

@usmanxhmed you can choose whatever you prefer. People here will bash you if you mention any iOS devices. But tbh I just switched to S4 and currently having yellow tint issues .. I believe my iPhone 4S's display is brighter and clearer than my current S4, only that it's smaller. You may want to wait.

it's not bashing about ios. iphone 5 is rubbish. even galaxy s3 is better. how could someone consider iphone 5 to galaxy s4. it's beyond my imagination.

I'm loving my S4, I can't see what everyone is moaning about, inventing all of these 'issues' with it! Just set your phone up properly and off you go.
Seriously, it's the best phone I've ever had. My mate has an iPhone, I was showing off my S4 today and it does impress.
The quality of the screen is the first thing you notice, just playing the helicopter video which is on the phone does a good job when showing off, then demonstrate hovering over text messages and emails, then gesture scroll on the browser, it can't fail to impress, even iPhone owners!
Don't hesitate, just buy an S4.

If you consider to buy a Iphone 5 instead of the s4, better go with the One. Its closer in terms of fluidness, haptics, optics and display.

You're probably just too excited with your S4. I had an iPhone before the S4 and the screen is much brighter. Also, my S4 has a yellowish tint, which is not something i'm happy about. Oh and all those features by Samsung are gimmicks and useless, I turned them all off.
It's a good phone, don't get me wrong, but I hate how this forum is filled with fanboys defending it with everything. Phones DO have disadvantages whether you like it or not -.-

The screen is definitely brighter on my brothers iPhone 5, but most the time you have it on mid brightness anyway, otherwise the 1400mah battery will run out
Sent from my GT-I9505 using XDA Premium HD app

@3473 Yeah a smaller battery and drains fast, but the screen does not disappoint imo. I always had my brightness on 80%. The thing is, I never noticed it until today, hence why I am annoyed by it so much. I realise it now every time I turn on my S4 :\

I've had my first Samsung phone ever, for less than a week, and now I'm a fanboy...!
You're funny.
If your gimmicky phone is broken, change it!
(Perhaps for an iPhone as you like them so much.)
Mine isn't tinted yellow, it's fine.

@NNIicckks This is my first samsung as well, hence why I'm disappointed. Can you hold your phone with an empty white screen to your laptop (both on full brightness) ? See if you can find yellow tint in yours.

Firstly i am not iFanboy, as i bashed all my life iPhones when i use to love Symbian, the likes of e52, which i bought 4 times in few years and i use to dislike Android as it stole the show and i use to laugh at iPhone as i thought it lacks basic features.
Then features made me switch to Android and i could never switch back to Symbian which i still love, but can't use as most of them you know why, thought i have an old Nokia 5630 for emergencies like now.
Used few Xperias, Desires, Galaxy and the last one i sold was HTC One x About 40 days ago to get decent money out of it just to save money for S4.
Then S4 was so dam late after its announcement, i could not wait, i bought brand new black iPhone 5 just to try iOS for the first time in life, to see why girls, and people like girls like iPhone so much, mainly i evaluated in past because it just do most things, and it does in fairly better way.
When i bought it, i liked iPhone5 screen, not just the brightness because i usually set brightness at 40 percent, to save batter, but the blacks, the colours and it was decent package.
I was surprised that you cannot change even SMS app in iPhone but little happy too that i could never decide which SMS app or which launcher i should use with Android, i was happy there is no home screen in iPhone as i was always nervous to use any widgets on Android due to poor batteries of all android phones.
I was sad that you cannot block calls, you cannot record calls and you have to pay for paid Apps unlike in Android, in which i use to find Apps from net and manually install them. i decided not to jailbreak iPhone because i bought it for ease of use and not to mess, so i given up in whatsapp being paid and start using viber.
then i found it iPhones bezal is prone to scratch like a fire in jungle, softwares were beautiful and screen was too small i felt, though i bought to use for long term but due to those limiations i bought new iPhone 5 with good loss for S4 a week ago after using for 2 weeks.
Now i kept my savings back to buy S4, now guess what, screen, issue, over heating, battery drain? now i think did i made bad choice to sale iPhone, as it was doing most things good and plus its size was great to carry it around, if i could adjust with smaller screen thinking, little is big if little can do most big screens task, as i sold iPhone for big screen S4 plus normal android features like default softwares changing, hacked apps, sharing of songs/videos and larger screen to view web pages and videos and pictures.
Though iPhone screen was very good, i was fond of AMOLED sharp colours too and deep blacks.
Now nobody knows whats the situation of S4 in Pakistan, i called the retailer he says he has no clue about about smearing, what it is, means he is not sure if its there or not, so i am left to spend all my savings to buy this fun and see if my luck is good or bad.
Another thing that let me down is no response from Samsung, i think they taking success as granted just as Nokia did and see its condition now, My beloved Nokia too took success by granted an stayed in past glory, by feeding ancient generation slow CPU when the world was moving to dual cores, they thought we are Nokia we can do whatever we want.
Now samsung is silent, no official response, are they this careless about consumer or worried about 10M pre orders?
now i am here without a smart phone? how can i buy S4 when i am not sure if my unit will have issue or not.
For HTC One X lovers, Metal is good, but prone to scratches and dents more than plastic, so you have to put silicon cover, metal gone and phone becomes fatter, but fine, its ok to bear it, but power switch is not fine? it must be pain for me? HTC in years every reviewer bashed your power button placement, and you are not willing to learn, this time put even farther.
Screem is better but why smaller? battery is nice and again smaller as was the case in S3 and One x? why HTC has to do these compromises is beyond me?
But the two things that is putting One off for me is power button placement, hello i have to use second hand every time? and batter concerns?
I have written too much bull**** here, why? because Samsung could not come up with official statement and they are sitting silent like ****** ?
So? so i may end buying another new iPhone 5 and forget about android advantages and just use my phone is phone and be happy with smaller screen, skype, viber, fluidity etc?

usmanx i think you are clearly isheep..
doesn't matter which phone is good. everywhere on internet said galaxy s3 is better than iphone 5. phone of the years 2012 is galaxy s3. phone of the years 2011 is galaxy s2.
2013 should go to galaxy s4 or htc one. iphone is big sh1t of rubbish. i have use iphone 1, 3gs and 4. yes my wife has iphone 4s and 5atm.
i know how it works. it's simple a prison ( iphone ). you can't do sh1t with it. a damn old ugly interface for ages now. same design kept for years.. nothing innovation.
well. i'm not fan of anything. but i'm sure go to freedom. android is freedom. f*ck ios. my galaxy s3 with wanam custom rom are million miles better than iphone 5. not to mention my galaxy s4 is going to be. once the dev start kicking.

Have to agree. I don't have or notice any of the screen issues folks are going on about. Compared to my HTC Evo 4G LTE, the whites might not be quite as bright at times, but the colors are so much better and the screen is very easy to see and use, even in full sunlight. I guess the screen comes down to personal preference in the end, but I sure would not let any minor issues like that have been reported stop you from trying it. It's not perfect, but I'm really enjoying mine so far after a week of using it.

Hovering affect is waist, so as air gestures? they are not reliable plus they will drain battery plus they will slower the phone, plus they make the OS heavy plus simply touching the screen is more assured? and if you have to show these off, then i should not take your advice.
You can talk about benefits of larger screen, more sharing options and other useless features, please not gimmiks, thanks.
I wanted S4 to be automatic choice for me, but a phone with unreliable screen?

No dear i am not isheep, actually i was symbian fan, when it died i went to android, used many android phones, i was waiting for S4 after selling HTC One x, but it was getting long wait, so i bought new iPhone 5, liked it, but had small screen and lack of sharing features so i tempted to sale it again for S4 as i thought it is automatic choice, but now after these issues i am confused

Well a personal question, you are not forced to answer, but why your wife has 2 iPhones any ways? is one not enough?
and few people don't have free brain and free time to waist on custom roms or all that stuff, they just want to use phone and after using iPhone i know its limitations and strengths now.
Plus, man take it easy, dont enforce your thoughts on others, and dont think what ever you think is absolute right for everyone, every one as different needs and brains, hence different preference for phones.
So if you tell phone one is good and phone too is crap, i will sit back and feel sorry and i will think you need time to be mature in life.
You should say my favourite phones has these benefits which other phone is not having, thats better

Well dude, perfect is nothing, not iPhones scratch prone premium body, not HTC One bigger body with smaller screen as compare to S4 or its power button position, but for the like of me, who is not that rich and he save some money to buy expensive phone, its not easy feeling to buy it when he reads all this up here?

I understand. All I can tell you is that after using mine for a week, I don't find ANY display issues at all with my S4. I think there is just a mountain being made of a mole hill, personally.
BTW, some of the "gimmicks" are useful. Like the hover thing. In certain apps, it's kind of like hovering your mouse over a thread header in this forum and getting a preview of the thread.

The issues aren't that significant and they don't make the device unusable. Apart from these tolerable display issues, the device is amazing. Perfect audio quality, great battery life, thin and light.
iPhone 5 is also a great device. Yes, the display is small but it has great contrast and accurate colors. Just know that there will be things that you could easily do on Android but can't on iOS.
I didn't get a chance to use HTC One, so I can't comment on that one.

Advice: Nexus One over iPhone (not quite a vs. thread)

So I am looking to purchase a Nexus One sometime within the next month or so. I'm an AT&T user and currently am using the FUZE with a custom ROM and running the Eclair XDAndroid build, which obviously doesn't compare to a real android device in any way, shape, or form. I'm completely aware of the features and abilities of both the iPhone and the N1, so this isn't really a feature comparison thread. On paper I know what the N1 is capable of, and everyone I know (literally) has a freaking iPhone so I know what that is capable of in the real world with real use.
Getting to the point, since you folks have been using the N1, may I ask what you like about your N1 over the iPhone? I'm following threads and seeing people with dust complaints, tinted screens, horrifying battery life, the touch sensitive buttons at the bottom not responding... and I'm just struggling on convincing myself to spend over $530 USD on a phone that could cause me problems over spending $300 USD on an iPhone that I know performs very well and already has a ton of memory built in, but lacks everything else that I want in the N1. Are most of these issues from earlier models of the phone? Do they occur more in say the T-Mobile version over the AT&T version (or vice-versa)?
I know this probably seems like a dumb thread, but I've searched and I've heard all the comparisons for features, but I just want to hear your comparisons through actual real world experience with the device (even if you haven't use the iPhone. Oh, and I did see the CNET video of the iPhone vs N1 brawl and that definitely is helping me lean more and more towards the N1.
Any advice would be great. Just please don't turn this into a flame war, both phones are fantastic in their own ways.

they're both amazing.
the nexus one is great. features and all. but after like three months, you kinda want your iphone back.. or i do at least.
depending on the 4th Generation iPhone, i may upgrade.
for the time being though, i LOVE my nexus one..
buy it if you are having any doubts. you wont be sorry.
all those issues only apply to a select few or to people that have major ocd..i did like my iphone but i didnt love it..i love my nexus one its a really great phone..i love that i can use it to tether too my laptop, use it as BRIGHT flash light, customize it too my liking, and not having to deal with iphone.
The one thing i did miss when i went back to android from my iphone was the games..iphone games are really really nice but that feeling has gone away since now alot of the 3d games on the iphone are being made for android.
the iphone is a great phone but the UI is sooooooooooo boring..i hated that 4x4 icon page on it.i love having widgets
so to sum it all up get a nexus one......and a ipad ahah
That's kind of my worry. I don't have that kind of money to throw around every couple of months, I don't want to invest all that money and in a couple of months just be jealous of all my friends with iPhones. But it is nice to hear you love your N1, the only apple fanboy thing I'm into is their operating system, anything outside of that I'm not really a huge fan of Apple (I stuck with WinMo just because I could customize it without hassle, unlike the iPhone which is a risk to brick every time you jailbreak it and there's a firmware update)

ya i love my macbook its the best thing that ever happened to me ahah..and honestly the chance of bricking and iphone while jailbreaking is slim to none but its a pain when apple is constantly sending you updates to unjailbreak it..trust me you will not be jealous of their iphones

Awesome note with the games though, I don't play games on my phone much (sadly I'm horribly addicted to solitaire...haha) so I never really got into the games aspect, I only have one or two on my iPod Touch, most of the time I use the basic Apps which are also available on Android (twitter, facebook, shazaam, things like that). So that's a good thing to keep in mind.
I think one of my biggest worries is battery life. I don't work a job where I can charge my phone at all throughout the day, and there are times I leave at 8am and don't get home until 7pm or later, and I don't want to have to worry that my phone won't make it. My WinMo phone always ends at around 60% with standard/moderate use so I never have to worry about running home to get a charge if I get hung up after work.
idk man, by far the best phone i have ever owned so far. (may be contradicting to what i just said but i literally do not care)
features list is just BOOM!
battery is amazing for me. no dead pixels. saturated screen. bright flashlight (nexus one torch).. idk so many to list.
if you wanna buy RIGHT NOW. go for the nexus one,
but
if you can wait til July...... wait. becuase you may regret it if you dont have the money to buy the newest badass thing, like maybe the 4Gen iPhone, and new product from HTC, or anyone... really its all so hard to tell but if you can wait, i think that'd be in your best interest.
and the only thing i miss about the iphone thats slowly sucking me back in (happens about twice a year, ive owned all the iphones and sold them too haha) is the slickkkkkk UI. the LARGE community and the apps that actually work clean, and flawlessly. the iphones' transition between homescreens is definitely smooth as butter. nexus one? smooth as sand paper.. the ability to take screen shots on the iphone with ease... idk.. haha
nexus one last me a whole a day with heavy usage (texting, internet, games, music, calling) i disagree with the slick UI..iphone has a HORRIBLE UI in my opinion its too plain and transition is just as smooth..the community for android is also huge and screenshots is easy too..just shake the phone (shootme app on market)

i totally agree.. just one night i forgot to plug it in. died later that day though (didnt necessarily let it "die" i just shut it off at like 2%)
My phone is simply perfect. No issues whatsoever, apparently I am one of the lucky Nexus owners. The only thing though, I do like about the iPhone more - is the UI polish. Apple is simply great at designing things. I'm ok though, as long as I have a Desire ROM. HTC Sense is quite nice.
Youll be happy with the nexus. It is great now and stands to realize much of its latent potential if Google wants it to. If you've had an iPhone you will definitely be disappointed in the touch screen. It's possible though that Android might be able to iron out some of the jittery, jumpiness of the nexus touch screen. But its a decent screen, those who have never used an iPhone think the nexus has the best touch screen there is so its definitely not a deal breaker.
Also, the nexus has higher resolution but I don't think there's and denying that the iPhone just looks crisper, especially the browser. But the nexus gpu definitely loads pages faster. I think I'm just rambling now...

It all comes down to your personal preference. You can read all types of reviews and you'll see that Nexus One wins over iPhone 3GS. The features of the phone are outstanding. Just ask yourself what you want in your phone. If you want lots of applications, music, go for iPhone but if you want free applications, customizations, widgets, great camera, blazing fast web experience, go for Nexus One. Its just a matter of time before android applications touch the mark set by iPhone. Once you root your Nexus One, its going to be a whole world of possibilities....
For the issues you read about Nexus One, I want to tell you that the tinted screen is only present in the newer devices which would be very soon fixed by an update. The capacitive buttons work perfectly when pressed on the upper half of the button. The dust problem is present in a very small no. or hardwares and if you live in US, then you can call for a replacement if it happens with you.
Android would very soon be taken up by most of the mobile makers as its open sourced and free. I read somewhere that the phone companies who have taken up android OS have to pay very little in comparison to Windows Mobile.
So go for Nexus One, you wont be sorry....
Here's what I wrote in another forum regarding this question:
Having thought about it I realised that the choice to go for an N1 is easy if it fits your needs. Since it has been released all the focus has been on how it compares to the iphone. Understandable as apple set a high bar with many features such as the apps, the graphical physics and ease of use. The n1 more or less matches them and comparing many of these features doesn't get you far. They both are fantastic bits of hardware, great screens, amazing computing power, touchscreens etc. In some ways the N1 performs a bit better in others the iphone but the differences between them are small.
However I think the N1 has gone to a new level with features the iphone simply hasn't got. I don't have to open an app to access the information I want. My calender, agenda, weather, news, daily Bible reading, personal photo's, music player (and playlists) one touch dialling to favourite contacts (and many other thing I don't use) all run on my home pages. And here's where it moves mobile information on; all these widgets update automatically and wirelessly. I don't have to plug my phone into my computer to update my agenda, it happen without hassle right onto my homescreen. Furthermore these services are free - and yes I did pay for mobile me and no its not worth it.
Bottom line is that both the iphone and the N1 are great bits of kit, you won't notice many gains in function between either hardware as far as I can tell but the software has moved on from simply apps. Unfortunately the press just focus on the things that you can compare but the how can you compare widget on a N1 to nothing on the iphone? The N1 is in a different class to the iphone because it does things the iphone can't dream of doing, try to keep up apple!
Thank You everybody. Your advice has been helpful. I actually feel that the Android UI is nicer than the iPhone, to me the iPhone seems plain. Though I will admit that the iPhone is probably a little more user friendly, I don't mind the extra clicks on Android, and it's not like it's difficult to figure out by any stretch of the means. And it's good to know that the issues people are having are only occurring in a small percentage of devices, I was really worried that I would throw down that kind of money and have a jacked phone that only lasted me half a day and had a dusty mis-tinted screen...haha. Hopefully I'll be able to get my N1 ordered by the end of this month.
The next step would be rooting. I don't think I'll root it until after the warranty is up, but I don't know, I said the same thing about ROMing my FUZE and that didn't happen. Though on an unrelated question, how come so many N1 ROM threads don't have screenshots of the ROM. The ShootMe app works great, I use it on my FUZE with Eclair. It just seems like a big risk to install a ROM without knowing what you're supposed to be getting.
actually its less clicks for android lol you know with the widgets and all..with the iphone it takes four clicks to modify your brightness for android it takes one, it takes 3 clicks to turn on wifi and bluetooth on iphone and on android it takes one, it takes 4 clicks for gps on iphone and android 1, it takes 3 clicks to post something on facebook and 1 on android (same for myspace), it takes takes 2 clicks to search on iphone and none on android..you see my point lol

Warranty is 1 year, you will get hot feet by then. There should be desire screenshots around. CyanogenMod's UI is identical to stock, extra features being the selling point.

Are you running on the HTC Li-Ion battery or some new U-235 battery?
The Nexus One is great. I don't have complaints so far other than the tiny loudspeaker. Heard that the Desire ROM gives it a louder volume. Anyway, like someone has pointed out, if you can wait until June, I would wait. I think Apple sees the Android OS as a thread so they must be building something big for the iphone 4Gen. The iphone 4Gen will probably be better the Nexus One... BUT I am confident that the Nexus Two or whatever Google wants to release in the future will take over eventually
Not saying the Nexus One will lose to the 4Gen for sure. Remember FroYo and Flash 10 are coming to the Nexus One.

cant make up my mind! galaxy s or iphone 4

Hi Guys
I recently lost my x10 and need a new phone.
This is properbly not the most objective forum to ask what to get
But maybe some of you have tried both over a period of time and can give your opinion?
I have never had an iphone, so I dont know how they are.
What I like with the iphone 4 is:
- The design is great!
- Hardware is equally good as the GS.
- Camera just as good if not better?
What I dont like is:
- Very closed OS
- Only 3,5 " screen
I do not mind the lack of microsd slot, as 32 GB is enouch.
The Galaxy s have a great 4" screen!! and a great OS.
I do not like the design though. looks cheap.
I there was replacement backcovers in metal or rubbery it would be a great step up.
I do not mind the lack of flash, since the night mode is good.
I would be glad to hear your thoughts
seems like you are leaning more to the iphone4 than not
might as well go for iphone4
if you can't find anything that you like on SGS more than iphone4, then there is no much point considering SGS
personally i like Android + SGS
- open to all developers, create what you want, and post it on Android Market
- 4' screen
- faster browsing than iphone4
- better screen colour and quality than retina of iphone4
- SD card slot
- more accessories to choose from
- i can use any software i like
- lots of firmwares to play with
- GPS works better than WM phones and stand along GPS like Garmin 205 or alikes
- great on 3G/HSDPA
- easy to drag and drop my music & videos to the phone
- great bluetooth A2DP Stereo
- i can swap the G7 battery any time, replaceable battery are very affordable on ebay,
- ultra slim smartphone
- FM radio to check on News,
- great 3D GPU for games and other stuff
- tactile and animated live wall papers
- much mucho software, so much that you don't know which apps to pick, and much more coming.
- Android Market is great, once you buy an App, or download an App, it stays in your gmail account, so if you ever switch phone, format, reflash, you just need to click on them again and they are all back!!!!
- system settings can be backed up to your gmail account !!!
- so in the same scenario, you can restore everything to the way it was before any major wipe or hardware replacement
- most apps are compatible with other Android phones, so if you ever get tired of SGS you can always go to HTC, or Acer, or whatever is on the horizon, and still keep all your apps with you.
- Wifi N, really fast, but iphone4 got it too... right?
- SGS can survive more drops than iphone4 can out of the box without protection (see sig for link), however iphone 4 screen cracks easily.
...well that's all i can think of at the moment of reasons why i prefer SGS over iphone4
And you don't have to install f*cking iTunes. What more convincing does one need

oh yes! that was the most important thing, and i forgot about it
no big brother watching over your big stash of music/video that you sync to your phone
Google maps navigation?
Thanks guys!
I have not decided yet.
But the itunes thing I can run through Wine. I am a linux user.
I am dissapointed that the X10 did not have any sofware for linux. I had to use windows to upgrade! What is that about?? android is based on linux and I have to use windows!!
How is it with upgrades on galaxy s? Is it over the air or do I need windows??
it depends on the carrier for over the air
it is predominant in windows
but there is a Heimdall cross platform (win, linux, mac) app that is being develop to update via any OS
Played with an iPhone 4, did not like. First off, it felt like a brick. Secondly, it is plastic with the only alluminium part being along the side so no difference there. The retina display is overated and is quite small when you compare the Galaxy S to it.
Saying that the Galaxy S looks cheap, I've had many who say it looks rich. Only when it's covered in smudges does it look cheap, but what phone doesn't? Many compliment the screen quality, size and weight. Viewing web pages on it is amazing, the font is so easy to read without even zooming in. In the looks department, many compare it to the iPhone. It doesn't look like an iPhone when you put the two together. Build quality is solid and it is a very light phone thanks to the plastic. It only feels cheap when you take the back plate off.
The hardware is awesome. I've had no real issues with GPS so I think that is a problem for the American models. The standard Galaxy S works great out of the box assuming you disable TouchWiz and install a decent home screen. Customisability is also a great feature with the Android OS.
I'm looking forward for the Froyo update. What I'm hoping for is some improvement to the battery life. That's the only thing I dislike but that's probably linked to some application I've installed.
Either way, I'm sorry for your loss and I hope you purchase a phone that you'll hopefully enjoy.
Feel/Build Quality:
The iphone will need a case because of the antenna problem which completely negates allot of the money spent on the build quality
The galaxy s you will want a case to protect it and give it a premium feel
Result: Tie
Media:
For viewing media both phones have comparable screens, personally i BARELY see pixels on my ~166 dpi pc screen, and can see none atall on the 800x480 screen on the galaxy s even when holding the phone up close so the whole resolution hype for the iphone 4 is a load of rubbish.
Both screens are (i believe) 24 bit so the colour capabilities are the same
Galaxy S has better contrast, faster response, better viewing angles
Iphone 4 has sharper text if straining your eyes to read fully zoomed out text on a small screen is your thing
To be honest they are both comparable experiences, allthough the galaxy has a bigger screen which is a minor win, and the iphone 4 has a HORRIBLE aspect ratio, not sure what apple were thinking there...
Result: Tie
Hardware:
Galaxy S 1ghz hummingbird SGX540 gpu
Iphone 4 ~700mhz A4 (hummingbird) SGX535 gpu (30% the performance of the 540)
Result: Galaxy S
Software:
While the android os is getting much better the iphone still wins here, the galaxy s has lots of software bugs which although are easy to fix, are annoying to have to deal with in the first place.
Result: Iphone 4
Overall:
Really its down to whether you can justify the price tag on the iphone, as with all apple products you are paying about 45% more just for the logo
I got my Galaxy S for £340 in the UK, the iphone is £500
If money was not an issue then sure, the iphone wins due to the better software
recently there was a google news about iphone4 owners gets more chicks than other phones

and
http://freakonomics.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/08/16/iphone-users-have-more-sex/
maybe that's Apple's selling point?

I used ADW home screen on my x10 and it was great!!
The thing I most dislike about the iphone is the screen size! going from 4" x10 screen to 3,5" may be difficult!
in my case i went from a 5" to a 4"
that's why going to a 3.5" was realy too much to lose
We all know why we like the Samsung Galaxy S, but why don't I personally like the iPhone 4?
1. If I purchased it depending on my usage, I would have paid almost twice for it that the SGS. I know, WTFMAN.
2. iTunes. Some people love it, then again, some people like being (insert expletive here).
3. Smaller screen. Played with my colleague's iPhone 4 and the first thing I noticed was "damn does that status bar look tiny" and it went on from there. Retina is way too overhyped. The colors, the blacks, and everything else (except the battery life) for Super AMOLED is great... ON a 4" screen.
4. App Store is biased against PR0N. Sorry, but some very good apps have been removed because some stupid Apple fanboy decided to use it for the wrong reason.
Bottom line for me is that there were just too many more negatives on the iPhone than there are on Android.
Thanks all!
I think I am going for the SGS Mony is not an issue though.

personally i love my sgs but this is an sgs forum if we didnt we have a different phone by now
the iphone is more basic if ur less tech savvy smaller screen (better screen(i think apple tryed to get amoled but couldn't so went with 2nd best )apple is very picky about what u can and cant do
android phones in general you can do A lot more customization i personally like the lay out more has potential to be anything you want through custom roms
sgs amazing screen probally keeping alot of people from leaving after this recovery mode bs (i know it kept me) very fast very good for games
buggy/laggy at times but every thing eles makes up for it when frayo comes out wow the sgs is gonna be amazing
PS. Check every thing out before you leave i just got a new sgs today with recovery mode and now ive noticed its got a dead pixel 4th sgs here i come Q/A is terrible right now

LoL. Great! If thing that comes up in your mind when it comes to buying a phone is iPhone. LOL.
Mate, get an Android, especially SGS.

After 10years of looking for the truly converged device....

...Treo's, HTC Hermes , IPhones, WebOS, Nexus', Evo's, SGS2....
And without a DOUBT, after 30 days of use, the Galaxy Note is it!
Not a THING I'm missing or wanting on this, (except Ice Cream Sandwich).
My only hope is that this is successful enough to warrant Samsung releasing a Note2!
Just hadda say!
Encouraging, thank you for your post. Especially after I been sitting here reading all about screen issues. I hope I end up lucky with no screen issues. Please let us know if you develop any too. This "phone" seems to be the answer to many prayers, let's hope Samsung can keep up with the demand while maintaining a quality product.

Agreed, this is the one stop shopping I've wanted for ten years, but nobody could get right. The hd2 was close but still too small, despite being one of the biggest phones.

You have to remember that over a million people have purchased a Note, maybe more.
There will always be defective phones that ship with the good ones
The only reason you don't hear about defective iphones is because Apple has fanboys that censor any "bad" reviews

I feel the same. The only thing that would make it perfect is an led notification.
Yeah it's a great device and I haven't had any problems with the screen.
In some categories it is perhaps the best device ever made. For GPS/Mapping the combination of the fast locks and gorgeous screen is hard to beat even by a dedicated device especially considering all the location apps that are available on a smartphone.
It is perhaps the best ever device to view photos/videos as soon as you take them. There are better cameras and there are better viewing devices but nothing that combines the two so well.
It is a fantastic device for quick annotation with the S-pen. The screenshot feature works well which means you can quickly annotate anything on the web or with the camera in under 30 seconds. I think this could be a real productivity feature for many people and I don't think there is any mobile device which comes even close.
Other than that it just seems to be a solid all-round smartphone.
I didn't want to own a phone, tablet and a laptop. With the note now I have a phone, ebook reader, and a excellent internet browsing device. I have mostly stopped using my Sony reader.I carry just the note to many places. Still carry my laptop for my coding needs.plan to try a Bluetooth keyboard to see if I can do some rudimentary coding as well. Note is not for everybody, but it works for some extremely well

Unfortunately I am one of those who has a less than perfect screen. I suffer from the "uneven grey" problem afflicting these screens (horizontal bands of darker colour).
This is only ever noticable when scrolling vertically in a web browser with a light background (e.g. the light yellow background of xda using Opera Mobile) --- your eye follows text when scrolling and the dark horizontal bands become noticable. I fear exchanging it and getting a worse quality screen, so I'm keeping it and deciding to ignore the issue.
Apart from the aforementioned issue it really is a fantastic device.
With due respect to the feelings of all you nice people, I have my own opinions :
Samsung Galaxy Note, is undoubtedly the best in the class and really is unbeatable in all the respects, if not less i have used in & around 250 - 300 phones all smart phones categories.
Why I love Note as in comparison to BB and iPhone ?
The very fact is unbeatable, that BB is truly business smartphone, and iPhone makes Retina display a mark statement but now Note:
1. Amazing Screen size and quality, as Super Amoled + & the 5.3 inch screen suffices for the tablet purposes.
2. Battery at whooping 2500 mAh makes it a truly lasting companion.
3. Slim design, sleeker than most of the things in the class.
4. Device Memory + expandable is doing good.
5. Camera is unbelievably good.
6. sPen is like power in hands.
7. Amazing Sound Quality.
---------------------------------------------------
All well its all okie, but there is a lil handling issues, but its still an addedvantage.
I am in love with my device, may be people have opinion adverse to me, but I am all happy and am loving it.
Thanks Samsung, We really owe this to you.
Why
Exactly
Well put.
The Note has really put the X in convergence. I noticed an ad for the Note as a Jack of all trade, and I thought that was a great pitch by Samsung. Having owned 9 smart phones going back to the XDA II, the Note is at the forefront of design in convergent devices.
I have not had any major issues with mine apart from the usual teething problems like installing an app that drained my battery in 10hrs(iLED).
The HD Super Amoled screen is sensational, yet some keep banging on about the inferiority of pentile displays because when you examine the screen with a microscope you can see jaggy pixels when this applies to any display. No doubt some have had the bad luck to have a defective device, but there are many more who have no credibility with me, like one person who returned their device because it had banding, which is due to low res images, not the device. This disinformation scares people unnecessarily.
Your thread puts things in perspective.

Hate to disagree but the HTC universal was the only fully converged device I ever used...
Assets at the time...
- screen estate
- Keyboard
- UMTS
- Overclockable processor
To this day - IMHO Nothing matches it..
It had a nice screen, and the Imate JasJar variant had the best physical keyboard of any device ever... Seriously... that keyboard was epic.
It was like a dream device - it had everything.. I sometimes dream about what the universal 2, 3 or 4 could have been... with a bigger screen, android, and that lovely keyboard...
The note comes close... but would be perfect with a slideout physical keyboard... IMHO...

My Att S3 review.

First of all let me give you a little background about myself. I am the mobile admin for a major software company in Silicon valley. I have access to any phone I feel that is worth testing so I can be completely unbiased. Here are the pros and cons of the S3 which I am now testing:
Pros:
1. Screen is big and very nice. It is pentile but I can barely tell. The iPhone 4s is a bit sharper but the s3 just looks better. Blacks are black. and they toned down the punchiness of the OMLED
2. The phone is thin and sexy. I got the casemate barley there which gives the phone more grip and fits like a glove.
Cons:
1. It gets warm with use.
2. When using auto brightness the avg brightness is to week. If it were bumped up about 25% it would be perfect or even better if you could adjust the avg brightness like you can with the iPhone it would be perfect.
2. Im in the bay area and do not get a solid LTE signal with ATT like I do on the iPad. Most of the times its on 4G 5 bars when my iPad has LTE. When it is in LTE I get the usual 20-40mbps which is great.
3. Android OS is just not as polished and solid as iOS. Yes it has more capabilities but it just doesn't work as well for me.
4. it was charged to 100 percent at midnight so I unplugged it and went to bed. Woke up at 7 am and it was at %50. I looked at the battery menu and didn't see anything out of the norm. Yes its possible I left some app running in the back ground but I should not have to worry about that. Apple got it right why can't google? If I ever forget to plug it in then it will most likely die in the middle of the night and I may miss an important work call. The iPhone can be at %20 and if I forget to charge it, it will be at %15 in the am.
Overall the perceived build quality doesn't compare to the iPhone 4s but its not bad with the gorilla glass 2 screen and Casemate barely there. Even though the 4S feels more solid Id feel safer dropping the S3 then the 4s since the 4S has more glass. Im really hoping to make this my primary phone but its no where near the 4S in terms of usefull functionality. Hardware wise its light years ahead. With the 4S i use it as a tool. With the S3 i use at so I can look at it and go ooooh ahhhh. I keep picking it up so I can run my finger across the awesome OMLED screen to hear the water and look at my background pic which is the dandy lion. Now if I could just blow on it
I'm curious, other than the OS on the iphone being a little more intuitive and user friendly, what functionality did you find in the iphone that you don't find in the S3? I'm coming over from an iphone myself and am finding that the whole iphone vs droid debate is a little overblown. Out of the actually functional uses and not just stuff to play around with and tweak, I haven't found much that one phone can do that the other can't. They both do pretty much the same things, just some of the things are done a little differently.
Well, except for the battery life on the S3 which from what I've read on this and other forums is a common issue and one which the iphone doesn't have. I'd have to say that that is my biggest disappointment with this phone.
I agree on somethings you have to say about the GS3, I too am a heavy iPhone user and I have been looking for a good Android to replace the iPhone 4s with. I have access to ANY phone I want as well and I have tested just about them all, One X's Lumina 900's ect they were all good but I kept coming back to the iPhone 4S, it just couldn't be beat.
Until now, I've been using an International GS3 and just switched to the ATT version and while both were good, the ATT model works better, I live in LTE even though my phone is on Home WiFi most of the time. I prefer the ATT over the Quad Core model.
But this thing does it all the iPhone does, I've got everything syncing back and forth with all the Mac's iPads ect, its all good to go.
The little iPhone screen is just to small these days, if your like my buddy that never tired a 4 plus inch screen then your fine with the iPhone, but no way can I try and read emails on the iPhone, just too small.
The GS3 is here to stay, until the next greatest thing comes out.
Oh and the Rock Case is way better the Case Mate's.:good:
Cool story bro.
TROLL BAIT!
Who are you again that we should all listen to your opinion?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Yes i am a troll. Im a troll that really likes this phone. Im going to give it more time. Ive tried 100s of Android phones and hands down this is the best. compared to the iPhone its quirky but I'm bored out of my mind with the iPhone 4 design and small screen so I'm think I'm going to switch to this baby until the iPhone 5 hits the market in 4 months or so.
I too would like to hear what the iPhone can do that the s3 can't? I also went from the iPhone a 3GS model to the S3 and it can do anything that my iphone did and may things it does better. Like the last poster stated the iPhone is just too small plus this thing is just way faster than my iPhone ever dreamed of being.

Yes I do too, but he does seem a bit trollish since he has answered off haned comments, but fails to answer a question 2 people have asked already. " What can the iPhone do that the GS3 can't?"
Im not downing the s3 at all. On the contrary i think its a great phone and better then the iphone 4 in many ways and I have pretty much decided to make it my primary phone. I was just being honest about a few things I found that I do not like but its my opinion.
in my opinion Apple's iOS may not have the flexibility and features of Android but it is rock solid and does what it does best. Now with my ipad 3 and the S3 I have the best of both worlds. The S3 is an amazing phone but I stand by my review from my personal experience.

I find it hard to believe that you are un bias, you seem to be very much ingrained inn the ios camp. Which is to bad because I was expecting an gives review. That being said, I disagree with you on a few points.
First off, the last 4 nights I have had Nino more than 6% battery drain, most nights have been about 5 or 4. So 50 is hard to believe unless you had to screen on all night with apps running.
Second, I have an iPhone 4 and compared my sgs3 with a 4s and hands down the sgs3 was know responsive, more fluid, and multi tasking was un comparable. I returned an app a day later and was at the exact same place doing the same action as if I never left.
All actions performed faster on the sgs3.
Maps and GPS lock quicker and load faster.
S voice actual understands what I say 90% of the time vs 50% with siri.
I use to be a hardcore ios guy, always pcs though, and I couldn't imagined going back to such a stifling os like ios.
I to am curious at what you believe runs better on ios vs android.
The only thing ios has that android doesn't is consistency among hardware which equals an overall smoother software experience due to the lack of fragmentation. But is rather have choices and freedom in my software and hardware than be pigeon held to what Apple believes I want.
The screen on the 4 s is nice, but ios a screen that small it is wasted.
Additionally, I hate even calling ios an operating system, it's nothing more than a glorified app launcher. Up until recently it lacked all customizability, and even now are so far behind android in terms of os function that they are going to have to make significant changes to even the playing field. Android simply creates a feature rich os, leaving ios seeming stale and UN bending.

I am sure with a little bit of time getting to know the ends and outs of the new operating sytem and tricks that you will like it just as much. I think it's a matter of what you get used too IMO.
Did you know that it can do Visual Voicemail too? I installed the app from the market and it works well. Just had a heck of a time getting AT&T to provision the service right, but that's not the phone's fault.
Well I'd say that was a pretty unbiased review so thank you. Some people will feel otherwise, but this is a GSIII forum so most people here are obviously going to be pretty biased towards THEIR own phone lol.
I have tweaked and played with the whole spectrum of iOS devices and android devices. I have a Mac Pro, Macbook Pro, and an iPad3 (and a GSIII and GSII ) so I'm pretty unbiased as well.
IMHO, this phone is first that really gives the iPhone4s and iOS a run for its money. Out of the box there's no question that iOS and the iPhone4 are more polished. The iPhone4S feels great in your hand and iOS is very intuitive especially for people who have little to know interest in 'tweaking' things.
But the screen is far too small, the glass is VERY prone to breaking if dropped, and I don't like to be looked into iOS's ecosystem.
I used an iPhone4 while I waited for my GSIII to arrive and all in all it wasn't that bad. At this point in time I think virtually everything you can do on one platform, you can do on the other. All just personal preference I guess.
But I will say apple needs to really have some groundbreaking stuff for the iPhone5 to keep up!
Thanks for the write up but I to would like to know what the iphone can do that the sgs3 cannot?

Can some one tell me why they think ios is more intuitive? How so? Android operates far mode naturally, with gesture control, motion activation, combination actions like reject call to text... android is far more seamless to operate and navigate from home to app to app etc... the only reason why I believe people think ios is more intuitive is, because it has been around so long and has changed very little, people are confusing intuitive with familiar... that's just my take on it.

agree, it's muscle memory. I've used android so much that I stumble using an iphone and many things to me seem counter intuitive. it doesn't mean the system is bad, it just means my experience gives me a different way of doing things. another example of this is a study that was done on IQ tests. When they asked a bunch of kids from chicago and puerto rico to give an example of umbrella use, the kids from chicago said the obvious, for rain. the puerto rican kids stated that it was for sunny days, giving completely different answers and uses. So each group gave answers that spoke to their personal experiences.
so to go back to the point at hand, the whole android vs ios thing is stupid because it all depends on your perspective. how a ui feels, if it's intuitive or smooth, if a phone feels sturdy or not, these are subjective feelings that are too dependent on things that build up to that. they are also dependent on your own viewpoint of smartphones. if a smartphone is in the same category as a toaster to you then ios is great, but if a smartphone is an artifact that increases the capacities of the human senses, then android will probably be your bet.
Lol at OMLED. It sounds like omelet. Maybe I can make an omelet when playing a game and charging at the same time.
Yeah if you weren't aware, XDA is as anti-Apple as it gets. Don't expect reasonable replies. The cult of Android is far worse than the cult of STeve Jobs. I think AndroidCentral is a little bit better. Not by much.
iOS is way simpler and predictable. The answer is really that simple. An OS can install apps and programs. That's it. Customization is not a requirement. Look at Windows Phone. Having a single button and apps already there on the screen makes a big difference. The extra layers that Android adds with homescreens and app drawers and capacitive buttons and secret menus and randomly holding things to see if functions pop up. Ugh. Not as intuitive. The back button closes the app but the home button doesn't? How about just keep a stranglehold on memory and background services so battery life is always good no matter what. The idea is so novel.
The next Android version should be called Sour Patch Kid. SPK
thats like saying you know it makes so much sense, it's common logic, why can't you see my logic whats wrong with you -_-

Actually this post shows that you know nothing of android.
First off, backing doesnt close programs unless a) you specify it to by selecting (kill app on longpress) or b) if the app prompts you to do so.
Secondly, you obviously have been brain washed to think that an app launcher is the same thing as an os. (And yes WM is in the same category as ios) take a look at any pc/Mac based os, you are provided with a user defined workspace, within this workspace you can control, launch, schedule and manipulate software and data through out the system. All a dedicated app launcher does Is to organize each individual program for access and deployment... that's all ios really is.
Long pressing and gestures are all part pour the process that makes these devices more intuitive... that's what intuitive means, taking tasks and making them more seamless and natural... this is of course based on perception. But considering that I have spent atleast twice as much time on ios than android my perception is well rounded. I still have an iPhone 4 I use it as a music player for my kids. And occasionally play with it and everything seemingly takes more steps.
now I know you are a troll, I've seen you in many other threads trying to reassure and convince yourself that ios is in some way superior, that must be a constant struggle.
Admittedly, ios has its benefits, but everyday android advances while ios stays stagnant, they as just now implementing features that android has had for two years. I home they step up their game and make android work for their inevitable win. I guess we will see what the iPhone 5 will bring, but if it's just a 4" 4s then they will practically give their customers to android. It's only a Matter of time before the faithful Iphone users see that the others are passing them up. That's what happened to me, I use to argue to no end with my friends on android but eventually got so board with ios that I bought an infuse to replace my 4 and have since seen what these devices can really do when allowed the freedom to do so.
But continue to live in your house of mirrors, you'll be here sooner or later.

My 1st smartphone was when the iPhone 1st came out. Since my 1st android device (Droid/Milestone), I was converted and became an iPhone hater(especially after I got the Nexus One). But you gotta admit, the iPhone can hold its charge better than any Android. With that I have to place the blame on the OS. But who knows??? If iOS implemented widgets on the homescreen it might b a different story. OTHER THAN Better BATTERY management, there isn't anything that the iPhone can do that my Android can't. It's the iPhone that CAN'T do a lot of what Android phones can.

Serious Help Note 3 Or Iphone 5s

Please don't close this thread soon, i am in real headache and really need some thoughts from only those users who have used latest Android Devices and iPhone 5/5s.
Hi there, i am facing some serious issues about buying either Note 3 or iPhone 5s. To further explain my last few phones in order are HTC One X, iPhone 5 again iPhone 5 and lastly i sold LG G2. LG G2 i believe is best in android just because of lack of brand value i sold it as i got good offer as compared to market.
I thought to buy smaller iPhone 5s, just to be able to do everything, fine living with no songs sharing, limitations, but fast, fluid and small in hand and pocket. Now Note 3 which i hated, specially S pen, but better brand value, more things to be able to do, but same messy android and touch wiz?
Spoiled for choice, only one have to make.
May be i should somehow hold and play with both, both phones have some to give and something to take.
EDIT:
Problem simplified. Trimmed my situation into two choice:
Option 1 (Big, tough to carry, more real estate + Android, more possibilities, sharing and mess)
VS
Option 2 (Small, easy to carry around + less feature simple life fluid and pretty)
You say you hated Note 3, so what's the problem. Go with iPhone 5S. That's a fantastic phone, and I'm not being sarcastic. I'm not an Android fanboy, I call it as it is.
Be careful however, iPhone 6 will come out in near future and it'll likely be very different from this generation of iPhones, likely with a bigger screen, so your iPhone 5S will start looking old.
Hate S-pen !
if you hate Note 3 specially for S-pen then you won't find anything more in Note 3 not in LG G2.(not to mention bigger screen )
and i don't think buying a phone based on its brand value is a good thing; buy a phone that is amusing you.
hope this help.
i have both and they are completely different things. I think that if you can use big screen (you really have to believe) go for note 3. has better screen and more options and of course rooting.
iphone 5s has touch id which is very very useful for buying apps and games while you are using your pass. more compact. has jailbreak (not fully compatible yet) and it is classic apple if you can manage to use it…
final words; if you play games use office and want bigger, more crisp screen go for note 3, if you think you want compact daily use and not customised phone, go for i5s.
thanks.
Whenni allready haf my note 3 i bought an 5S to try it out and see why so much ppl love iphone. After 8 days i sold it again and switched back to my note 3.
You can't do sh*t with an iphone. No customisation. The way whatsapp works suvks balls and no support for sharing. Lets say you want to share a picture from your photo album you cannot choose bluetooth or whatsapp or dropbox or whatever. You must do all things within the designated app. Total BS. No custpm mp3 ringtones because non synced mp3 will not be supported and all that crap.
Hope my anti apple rant helped you.

Thanks for the reply brother. I hated Note 3 when i bought G2, due to massive size and weight of stylus, now when i sold G2 i am open to choices, so just thinking bigger screen can be advantage as well as headache, like you can do anything in android, if i can bear Big size, on the other hand i decided iPhone5s just being smaller and easy to carry and use, thinking too much small size will be just ok, as watching website is not ideal on any mobile for that you have laptop.
As i think, both have advantages and disadvantages, and it will come down to just size, which size i may prefer. too many options in android can be headache for me, simple iPhone where you can't do a **** can be easy. Well !

You are right, i was so much satisfied with LG G2 too, just was bit down due to no market value, and when i got good offer from someone, i thought to sale it, as later it wont bring this money, plus i dont like physical home buttons on touch devices, but now i have to have it. One of these two phones i have to buy now hopefully with determination not to sale them again

Thanks for great guidance. I only rooted and applied custom roms to my once x10 mini, apart from that i never used custom rom just because of reading many people brick devices and confusions and all that, not something clear. I used iPhone 5 twice and i know what is that and only thing i specially hate is you cant share song over whatsapp.
Yeah, deciding factor will be size, if i can live with gigantic size in pocket, i should go for note and may be get cm11 with installer, if i will get iphone, i will only get because i dont want to deal with root and flashing.
I really don't see the point of this thread... You said yourself you hated the note 3.....so why even bother with this post. Just get the iPhone5s and be done with it. You don't even want to put custom rom on the phone and with the other issues like Knox and the likes. Just get an iPhone5s

Its like i don't hate any platform, i didnt like samsung note 3 due to physical home button and size, but i know somehow android can be more beneficial with bigger screen and all, now i have option of both, thats why considering both, with iPhone i have to lose things too, any ways, yeah i wanna avoid custom roms being not clear or easy way to do it, though i love stock android appearance so much. Just got choice thats making me confuse, eventually i know i have to decide one my self as i know most things my self about both platform and phones, tough choice for a guy like me who is not fanboy and who has open choice to make. In the end i say whichever i get, i may get working set.
My brother have both note 1 and ip 5..he said to me ip5 is not good due to all the hustle just when u want to transfer file which required to be convert etc using itunes..make simple job become complicated..

Well you sold iPhone after 8 days because your needs are very much android like. I liked iPhone twice just becauseyou can't change built in programs like sms, which saved me from tension of which one to chose, so much choices like its tension which to use and which not, one feature is good in one, other feature is good in second app. Yes sharing is an issue but only sharing songs are issue, pics can be shared with whatsapp and everything can be shared in dropbox app and songs can be downloaded via third party app like file master, yes sharing songs via whatsapp is my only grudge, another draw back is apps are not free unless you jail break, which i dont do.
Custom ring tones, i am not fan of songs as ring tones and built ones are just classic, yet you can have custome ringtone too.
Well, your above mention weakness are strength for others and i fall in between of both. wish i could hate one of them like you completely

Valid point, massive advantage, in android you can share or receive any **** ever discovered, and in iPhone you have to stop thinking about sharing with ease or share or sync on holidays lol

Yeah, you reminded me, battery is the biggest issue and difference between the two, when i had iPhone 5 twice, it use to last working hours, i was playing games rarely, push was on, with LG G2 battery was massive edge and i feel, Note 3 should be same good in battery.
Yes since i am posting it in Note 3, answer should be Note 3, i have nothing personal against it, when i will try it in some store, i will see if i can carry the monster around with me or not. Another guy has note 3 and its so big against his face and in hands, i wonder how to do it.
Let me make a statement here. A guy above said since Android has ability to change default apps, its cool, which iOS can't. Let me say?
IS ANDROID USELESS AND GARBAGE TO USE, IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO RISK ROOT, FLASHING, I MEAN WITHOUT THIS, YOU CAN ENJOY/USE EVEN THE HIGH END ANDROID PHONE? FOR THOSE WHO ARE NOT INTERESTED IN ROOTING? SHOULD NOT CONSIDER ANDROID?
That's what i think, you guys give your opinion. To further back my point, Every one knows LG G2 SMS app was ****, same can be said about Samsung SMS App as well, it was easy to use Hangout which i life being neat, even though lacks features like pop up, but i could not remove or disable LG SMS App without root, which means even if i hide it in Launcher phone always using two apps for same thing? is this not bul****? to use Android? you need to get comfortable with rooting and stuff?
For S Pen Fans?
This question is for S Pen Fans?
I have a shop, i work there, deal with customers, i am normal smart phone user, who is using smartphones since Nokia 6600, way back then.
I understand and i am convinced, Apple changed game, brough touch screen phones to limelight and everything changed? Ruined Nokia of which i was fan.
Now How and due to what Apple managed to change the game? Apple managed to change game by screwing Stylus and bringing finger input method, it was death of stylus, turn out to be stylus was bull****. Now we got rid of it and Samsung, who don't know how to make smooth UI, put it back and telling me its selling feature, fine.
I want fans of S Pen to tell me, how S Pen can help me to use my phone better to those phones without it, like LG G2. Solve my this problem as well, Please. Don't tell me, to make paintings, to write notes, you can type neater, faster and better, and don't even tell me of hover effects, i rather turn those battery enemies and lag friends anyways.
I've had both, I got bored by the fact you can't do much on the iPhone so returned it. Put it this way, the note 3 does everything the iPhone can, and better in every way.
Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
Note 3 size is usually only an issue for a short time. You get used to it very quickly and then when you pick up iPhone you laugh and say how can anyone function on this puny little joke of a screen. Just my personal opinion. I'll never go back to small screen. 6 inch is perfect for me. 7 might even be sometime in the not to distant future.
