Cornerstone 1.0 Released [JB Support] [ROM by shumash] - TouchPad Development

Just found this today. I remember someone built a Cornerstone ROM before. It now works with JB and is said to be much more stable.

Shumash kindly made a JB Cornerstone ROM but Cornerstone doesn't work. Don't download this if you want Cornerstone.

Thx. Do you know how to use it in JB or ICS?

Re: Cornerstone 1.0 Released [JB Support]
It will need to be built from source for a ROM.
Unfortunately I don't have the skills to do so. Hopefully an interested dev will see this and decide to make a ROM.
I have no intention of pressuring devs, this is merely an announcement of the release.

Re: Cornerstone 1.0 Released [JB Support]
We need OAT, Shumash or SGA to cherry pick it and fix it!
Got to say that there is no need for a new thread just for an announcement of cornerstone...

Hmmm? Figured this was dead way back when, when I last did an lnt cornerstone version, but needless to say, 'I guess not'. Do I really want to get into this again? Anyway, thanks for posting this.
P.S. For those wondering, I am still using my `happy holidays` edition.

Believe me, it's not just as easy "cherry pick and fix it" ....

Re: Cornerstone 1.0 Released [JB Support]
Yeah, it will take a long time to configure it correctly and build it.

Re: Cornerstone 1.0 Released [JB Support]
I wasn't intend on it being compiled with no errors, but you are the guys that would be good building this

I posted this information from the Onskreen git a couple of days ago in response to a post by SGA in the Schizoid thread. It's possible that he may have an interest in implementing Cornerstone for JB on the TP... or not... but I'm guessing that he either hasn't been on the boards the last couple of days, or he missed that post???
Maybe he will chime in on this when he has the time.

Re: Cornerstone 1.0 Released [JB Support]
Yeah I don't want this to be a competition between the devs. This is just some information that hopefully will be used for the benefit of the TP.

Yeah, I understand and agree. However, based on both Shumash and OAT's responses here, I'm not too sure if any devs will be rushing in to do this.

Ahh, so it looks like SGA has tossed his hat in the ring. Good luck on this, any new dev work on the TP is always welcome!

Where to start? can I find the moto driver source on github?

I have a couple of atrix 4gs and I have some experience with writing windows drivers fwiw. I would like to help out in development, but I'm not sure where to start. Ive noticed there are some 4.+ roms but they all have driver issues. Are the atrix 4.0 drivers from moto in a repo like github?
Thanks
Nick

Yes...I know...but has a lot of bugs and the battery life it terrible....
I think its better to get a new kernel with sources than drivers...but its what I think.
Right now the devs are working on it...so let hope for it!...
Cheers! :good:
Linux 3.0 kernel is just 2.6.40 renumbered to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Linux. Epinter, I believe it was, said before there is not much difference between them.
Please contact mvniekerk and join him in the kernel port.

To avoid duplicate requests for same PDA.
You lie. Just looking for attention.
JKay has made it clear, he is not doing 4.04 ICS rom framework.
He will be doing JB, though.
A moderator needs to lock this thread.

Oh, great, then. When looking the Dev thread, UHLPS was mentioned, so was not sure if JB for S2 has progressed enough to be released soon.
Great news. Will be waitingfor JB, then

Firstly, this isn't the right section for this kind of topics, someone should move it!
Secondly, who said that CM10 isn't working? There are some booting builds from ErwinP in this thread, lookup at the last posts, but its still in developing process and much things aren't working good or at all, the biggest of which is the WiFi. This video is just showing one of Erwin's builds

Hi,
believe it or not, I am using cm 10 as my daily driver.
Compiled from source using ErwinP's repo as a starting point. I would like to post my builds and reply in the dev section, however, since I am new here, I need to have some posts first...
Cheers, bennii.

[Q] Pacman Kit-Kat

Hi Team,
Just want to know can we start developing PACMan Rom or not. When I searched, all the threads were closed my moderators.
Is it still in WIP and where we can find the status?
You can build pac 4.4 but we ask that you refrain from releasing it until official nightlies are released as things are still being worked on.
Gr8... Will be there any official statement once it is done and where can I check that?
