The Galaxy Note 8 will be featuring a 8-inch WXGA display with a resolution of 1280×800,
marking a departure from the Super AMOLED displays on the Galaxy Note II.
Under the display will be a 1.6GHZ quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16 or 32GB of internal storage
(with a microSD slot for added space,) and Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean)
The device will also include a 1.3-megapixel front camera and 5-megapixel rear camera,
as well as HSPA+ connectivity with your favorite GSM carrier.
Samsung is also bragging that the Galaxy Note 8 will also be featuring new S-Pen technology to allow you to more easily write and track notes,
as well as interact with your device through the S-Pen.
To top it off, Samsung is also throwing in a powerful notes application called Awesome Note,
and the multi-window mode seen in the Galaxy Note II, allowing you to view two applications simultaneously.
Thoughts?

Specs looks nice but the screen res is same as ours so pixel density will be bad on a 8in note.... But a good contender to mini.

I like that the S-Pen works on the HW Buttons too. This really bugs me on the Note 1. Yes, I know the gestures.

I want it!!!

There is a link
I might get one but it will depend on hardware specs.
A small tablet?
I use this as the in-between my phone and laptop/desktop. It runs Windows 7 Ultimate, has an 8" 1,280x600 display, a 256GB SSD, GPS, and an imbedded VZW modem. For real stuff, I need a real (not virtual) keyboard. And with any tablet, no matter how thin and light, the crap you have to tote around with it to make it a PC replacement makes it as big as a laptop. Maybe Samsung will be successful but the Dell Streak certainly bombed.

agreed.....
I will buy it it will gid rid of the need of a tablet which is really not needed anyway. I can count on one finger how many phone calls I have made in the last month. Count me in
I will buy it if its not as heavy and bulky as dell streak. Streak is twice the bulk and weight of s2. I need a larger screen as around 90% of stuffs I do with the s2 has been as internet device and pdf reader.

Samsung Galaxy Note size comparison with HTC Vivid and GSII Skyrocket

I was testing out the Galaxy Note at CES 2012 yesterday and have to say the white Galaxy Note is great looking. I put the GSII SR next to his big brother and brought along the HTC Vivid as well.
The AT&T branded Note did seem a bit laggy, not to bad but I noticed a bit compared to my GSII SR.

Nice someone who was or is there lol. Anyway hopefully the lag is fixed soon, like the international note and did you test the spen calibration?
The international Note "lags" compared to the international GS2 too. Mo' pixels, plain and simple.
LOL, yeah on the road back home. Actually the pen seemed calibrated. Samsung removed the original stylus and they had the pen that will be a assessory which is like a regular pen. It was more comfortable to use.
Also once you were in the application there is no lag using the application, again this could be fixed or not, but its nothing that would make me stop from buying the Note.
Samsung really was pushing the GNote, as it was advertised everywhere.
By the way, there was a lot of attendees with the international Galaxy Note. I saw the blue one and liked the back color blue, but something about the white one that is just calling my name. The white one does look bigger because of the color compared to the black one.

They removed the S-Pen phone dock?
Yeah, the lag is really due to the 3X pixels it has to process. So just have to accept it when compared to the S2. Hopefully ICS will help it out.

The stylus dock is there, Samsung didn't put the pen stylus because at CES 2012 show, most likely they would disappear. Even though in the lobby Samsung had setup a charge station with some Galaxy Note phones to try, and out of all of them, only one had the pen stylus.
Here is picture of the white Note which is looking nice.

Note 2 theory

I've read a lot on here about people comparing the Note to the Galaxy S3. And the general consensus seems to be the same: They love the speed and updated UI but the lack of the S-Pen and smaller screen were the turn offs. Now consider when the Note first came out, the experience was like a larger S2 with a stylus so it makes sense to theorise that the Note 2 will be a larger S3 with a stylus.
What are everyone's thoughts on this?

Note 3 Photos Leaked Online?

I Know this is random, but its also cool. For anyone keeping up with the rumors on the note 3, here's another. These Photos Were leaked online 6/10/2013. Comes from Sam Mobile who are the ones that leaked the Pictures of the S4 which turned out to be real. the phone seems to have a smaller bezzle like the s4 so the phone its self wont be bigger but the screen will.
What does everyone think? Real or Fake?

Exactly. I hope it will have a 4,000+ mAh. It's addicting to have such high capacity stock battery.

I read somewhere today that this image is actually the Mega 6.3, but I don't think anybody really knows for sure. That phone looks like a monster! Almost to the point of being too big, at least for me. I can't wait until I see it in person though then I can make a decision

not only that the mega 6.3 has curved edges at the top and bottom, this leaked picture of the note 3 has square shaped edges top and bottom. compare both of these pictures and tell me if it's a 6.3 mega or not.
