solved - Nook HD, HD+ General

I've burned both small image (on a two gig SD card) and regular image (on a 8 gig SD card) using win32image and winimage. I've copied 3 zips on each card. I used a disk reader and pc slot. No matter what I do, when I insert the SD card into the nook it still boots into stock. What else can i do?

Problem transfering files to new class 4 16 gb mico sd!

so basically I FINALLY got a 16 gb mico sd card for my nexi. The problem is though, that whenever I try to transfer files to it, it usually says a little way in that the file location is too deep (or something. This was last night) And then it stops working and the card becomes damaged. I repair it in RA and mount it and it appears to be the music folder usually. After this happens, and it's all repaired (Sometimes i don't have to repair I've noticed) everything in the music folder is corrupted and has a bunch of random symbol names.
I have it formatted the standard way with a swap, ext and fat32. Does anyone have any ideas I'm pretty sad about this
Could be a damaged card?
With my class 4 sandisk 8gb i had some problems in the beginning.
I formated the card via the phone software and the card wouldnt work.
I manually formated the card via android sdk consol = card worked
I also tried via RA recovery = card worked.
The card should work if u format i correctly trough RA.
If not the card may be broken. Maybe theres an app that tests cards available?
Or you could put the card in a card reader and test the card via software on the pc?
Well it only happens when I'm transfering music though for some reason.

Micro SD card won't show up on my i8000

Hello,
A micro SD card came with the phone. By browsing the card from my computer it looks like it contains the Route66 maps that came with the phone. However, the card doesn't show up on the phone. What gives? Other cards do show up.
Copy the files from the cards to your computer.
Format the card with your computer using Fat32 format.
Recopy the files back onto the formattted card.

[Q] Imaged SD card, now won't work with wp7 (Dual-Boot)

After I installed WP7 rom & done a few re-boots all is fine using a 16gig card which shows in the "about" Total storage 14.63 GB.
I then make an image copy of the SD card using minitool partition or easeus using another 16gig SD card which I then put in the HD2 & WP7 booted fine, so now I have 2 16gig Cards that can work with "this" flashed ROM.
I then proceed to make this card to "Dual Boot" following the procedures here or on the Net which I successfully done a few times BUT there are times that the procedure would fail, when inserted WP7 would give an SD card not recognized error.
I now use the SDcard that was used to flashed this ROM, it has never been touched or modified BUT to my dismay WP7 will also not recognized this SD card
What happened here?
I have read in one Procedure that the size of the partition for WP7 should be bigger or more than Half the size of the SD card, is it so? & why is this?

[Q] Using Clockworkmod on 16GB SD Card

Hi,
I want to root a Simple Touch Glow and was following the steps using SD_2gb_clockwork0rc2.zip.
The trouble is that is designed for a 2GB card and mine is 16GB. Can I use it? If not, is there a version for the 16GB card or do I need to buy a 2GB card?
Thanks in advance!
Yes, you can always use a bigger SD card than necessary.
If you are writing an image to the card you may end up with the drive appearing as if it were a smaller size.
When you are all done you will have to reformat the drive to get it to be its full native size.
For instance, writing Noogie to a 4 Gig SD card will work fine.
When you are done, the card will appear to be only 70 Megs.
Just reformat the card.
Windows can not low-level format an SD card.
Partition Wizard can. http://www.partitionwizard.com/

As can SD Formatter, and the Nook can as well from the settings.

SD Card Format issue

I have a samsung 256GB Evo card, and i just installed a new rom this rom: https://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/development/rom-natf-1-00-test-5-debloated-stock-t3509750
So i seen the little sd icon and i tap on it and it said my sd card is corrupted and needs to be formated. so i put into my computer and copied all the data before i wiped. I formated the SD on windows for extfat and put the card into my v20 and boot it up and i got the same error message. so i went ahead and formatted it using the phone. Plugged the card back into my computer and it shows it was formatted in fat32 format. which is strange. anyway i reformatted it again in windows and put the card back in the phone and got the same thing.
Anyone using this card or phone can verify if your v20 formats the card in fat32 format and let me know. if not anyway to fix it?
