LiquidSmooth is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project.
As a team, we are dedicated to providing Android users with smooth, stable and fast Roms
Ours is an open source project. Please feel free to look at our code on LiquidSmooth GitHub
We would like to thank CyanogenMod for their device trees, framework/settings mods and their code that was incorporated into this project.
Furthermore, we also extend our gratitude to AOKP, Team CNA and Team EOS for parts of their code that we have incorporated.
There have been lots of changes since RC 5 was released.
We have tried to incorporate various fixes and look into stability issues as well.

Guys,
This project is too big for me to take on by myself, so I have started up a thread to raise some money to get one of LiquidSMOOTH's best developers a TouchPad as well, so he can help with stuff. He has the knowledge, not only to get LiquidSMOOTH working well, but also to possibly help with other long-time bugs (no promises though )
If you would like to help make support, please visit http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1994298 and take a look at the OP for instructions!
Thanks guys, and I know that together we can raise enough to get him a TouchPad, one of the best tablets on the market STILL!

Should ACME be used if flashing from CM9?
You've got my ears perked.... Thanks for the public release. You guys are awesome!

I would recommend using ACMEUninstaller then ACMEInstaller3 to install it. ACMEInstaller3 probably won't pick up our zip in the cminstall folder, so you would have to flash it manually.

Still no audio ?

Thanks for this

Definitely will be giving this a try once audio is fixed.
I would try now, but I listen to music between classes.

Thanks for the public release
Can you please provide some screen shots?

With even more emphasis on providing good, reliable support to the LiquidSmooth Community,
I am proud to announce the initial release of -
http://bugtracker.liquidsmooth.net
What is this?
It is a bug-tracker cum ticketing portal. Instead of being technical, the emphasis is on user-friendliness.
How do I use it?
Visit the site. You will have an option called Create a Ticket. Simply fill out your issue and submit it.
Remember to specify your device name, else your report will be simply rejected.
How do I check the status?
Once a ticket is submitted, you will automatically receive notifications on the email-address provided by you whenever there is any change, or a comment/message is posted. This way you can keep track of the issues.
Why was my ticket was declined/rejected?
This is probably because of either of the following reasons -
You submitted a feature request, and not an issue.
You did not specify your device name.
The issue you're reporting has already been submitted. In this case, a message will be added informing you of the same.
Your report was very vague and/or bizarre.
Please bear in mind that I have set this up just to facilitate better communication and redressal of your issues.
It does not in any way whatsoever imply that the Team will leave everything they're doing just to attend to your problem. Patience is the key.
Hope you make good, practical use of the service. If anything is broken in the portal, please send across a message
(don't act wise and post it on the bug-tracker itself). I have worked hard on it, and hope you will appreciate it.
Cheers!

Ah, no audio is a deal breaker for me. Looking forward to trying this when the audio issue is resolved!

Thanks!

RC7 Beta v RC8
I built my own ROM which ended up as RC8, but the wifi is broken. Are there unmerged changes in RC7 Beta?

Well, without seeing your device tree I wouldn't be sure what the issue is. Can you send me a logcat? Does it boot and just wifi not work?

Yup, everything works except wifi and sound (USB charges OK). The build is just a repo sync from the LiquidSMOOTH github. I'm playing around now, but I'll try to send a logcat later.

Guys, didn't have time to work on it last night, but going to try and fix a few bugs in it today. Stay tuned here for more info on what those bugs were/new download links

Can you please give more info about this build such as:
Which image your using, rootfs file, whats working and whats not (wifi, 3g, bluetooth, camera, gps, increased-ram-latest? etc..)
Thank you.
It looks really cool.
Awesome! I will try this build tomorrow, it looks good But I'm excited to see if I will suffer from SOD in this build or not.
I'm gonna try it today, just to see if the battery is better than the other builds.
I have tried The one with sense and the Darkstone one, the one from darkstone doesn't have very good battery life, and the other with sense is too slow for me.
I'll let you know how good this one turns out.
Thanks, Santroph
on the mattec Leo + Froyo build it has bluetooth working fully. Can the rootfs/zImage be used in this build so that it has bluetooth working?
Bluetooth is working. The only thing that is not working is Bluetooth hid. But that doesn't work on any build.
Bluetooth hid is for keyboards.

This has nothing to do with the build. Its a kernel thing and shubi is not a kernel developer.
A 384mb RAM kernel will be released when cotulla will upload his tree.

does MMs work? If yes im switching to this one
As long as this is going to be actively developed to make wifi and camera function, I'll flash this today. I waited over a month for proper camera on KaosFroyo way back at like v11. I'm willing to give this a shot with some reassurance that this project won't be orphaned immediately.
So are there any differences between this and Tazz's at the moment?

[Q] What are your views on making a Tainted Froyo? I helped Hoban a bit with the original Tained rom, and I will do anything you ask to work on a 2.2 taint.

Anyway you can post some screen shots? Also do you think you can somehow add the Evil Eris color scheme and that orange theme(from your other to a port of this)? Thank you.
I want to be sure, MMS is working right?

I flashed the Chinese one earlier and played w/ it for about 10 minutes and then flashed back to KaosFroyo. But I eagerly await the next few days where this just blows up with people working on it.
I thought maybe some of the backgrounds and app icons maybe different.

[ROM][AOSP] 4.0.4 ICS | Evervolv | 2.2.0b1 | 5/20/12

This ROM is built from source and is incorporated s custom Evervolv look and feel to the stock ICS experience. This started as a collaborative effort to port ICS to the eris, heroc, and hero. We will continue to work together to try and get the best functionality, speed, and enjoyment possible. I've had a lot of fun working on ICS since source was released back in November and it's been great to work with many other devs across a multitude of devices and backgrounds.
A ton of credit for how functional this ROM is must go to jaybob413 who always amazes me with both his ability to fix anything & everything, and also his willingness to share, teach, & work together. We all know workshed of course who has given me lots of help & advice, not to mention that GSB is what got me into messing around with ROMs. Then there's the master of all that is Evervolv, preludedrew. When not sabotaging my builds or giving me a hard time, he puts up with my questions and has taught me a lot along the way. Many thanks to those that open source their work and fixes like CyanogenMod and plenty of others. And now on to what you are here for...ICS on the Eris.

--------
* Recommended Flashing Instructions *
1 - full wipe: data + cache + dalvik cache
2 - flash the ROM zip
3 - flash Gapps
4 - reboot: the first boot will take awhile
5 - ensure everything is loaded and settled by letting the screen timeout and waiting a minute or so before waking it up and proceeding
6 - skip or go through the google setup wizard and then wait another couple mintes to allow the rest of the ROM to load up and any google data to sync
7 - reboot and allow things to load up again (optional)
8 - everything should now be ready to go
--------
* Tips *
* switching between the Evervolv notification toolbox and the stock notification view is achieved by swiping either left or right
* can open a running apps list by long-pressing the home button & swipe(or long-press) to clear (useful if an app won't open or system slows down to clear out some memory)
* disabling an app is very easy in ICS: either through the manage app screen or by dragging a particular app from the drawer to the "app info" section displayed at the top of the screen, you'll find a button to disable that app
* the ICS launcher makes it simple to create & use folders: just drag one icon on top of another, let go, and they will now be in a folder together which you can name whatever you like

Just wanted to say thanks for your work and time working on this, awesome job!
Congrats on being the first to make an ICS rom on the eris, MH!!
Congrats lix! Nice work my man, I'm proud of you. (I know that sounds stupid, but I am) please feel free to contact me, I'm sure I could help with some of the button mapping. Maybe we could team up some, just msg me if you're down, no worries if not.
You can email or add me to gtalk, anyone can! [email protected]
p.s. the email address is a long story lmao
Again, good work Mon! (I can't figure out what I want to call you in short) lix or mon hahaha
This is sexy!

Good ol' Eris. What a trooper.
Way to go, Mongoose (and the crew)! Thanks for your development effort!
Awesome, not sure if I want to wait until this is more stable or not to play around with it, probably once the buttons are mapped I'll play with this
one word. simply awesome. this is why my eris remains in use as my bedside clock/mp3 player. it just never seems to give up thanks to the amazing developers we have here.
Thanks. Something to really look forward. keep it G
Knowing how far this device has come and being here since day one of the launch, all I have to say is holy ****, pardon my language
Just wondering if anyone has given this a spin yet or maybe everyone's waiting until it's more functional which makes sense

This is unbelievable. I upgraded from the good ol' Eris a few months ago, and the progress on this far surpasses Thunderbolt development. It's a shame really, that development on the tbolt is so fragmented.
I still keep my Eris around just to load up projects like these, and marvel at how far it has come. It's a long way from the Cupcake that it launched with.
i havent released my ics rom yet and not sure if this one has the ics boot ani i noticed some dont have it so here it is
http://www.multiupload.com/KQIKUWS75U
also if i read this thread right, the screen goes black and doesnt turn back on without battery pull,,,,try pluggin usb cord in if not then unpluggg it should turn back on
Just incase anyone's curious about gapps with this; tried yesterday, no worky! Touch screen doesn't work to run the setup... in all, though, killer job mongoose!

The Neural Information Processing Group from
Eötvös Lóránd University proudly presents:
MouSense for Android based mobile devices
MouSense headmouse (head tracker) is a hand-free application software for computers - one can control the cursor on the screen by head movements. Our latest product is MouSense for Android, a headmouse software for Android based smartphones, tablets and other info-communication devices.
The software uses the latest opensource Computer Vision algorithms to determine the exact position of the head and to track it further. The stability, reliability and flexibility of these Computer Vision algorithms allow us to put them together in a way to create a robust and sufficiently optimized face-tracking software for mobile devices. The software tracks your face using the front-facing camera of the device, displays a small cursor on the screen as you move it along, and lets you simulate touch and API based key events to gain full control over the system.
We considered making a slightly limited alpha version available to the public, so users with different variety of devices can help us improve our product before we release it to Google Play. Its a limited version hence the different action simulations (long click, drag, swype) are not present. We appreciate the help of testing from anybody who is curious enough to try the software and commited enough to send us the error reports the software prepares in case of a crash.
Download link to the latest build will always be in post no. 2.
Please don't upload the file to any website or file server, because the software is still in early alpha version, and bug fixing becomes much harder when we start having all sorts of strange error reports from builds coming from unknown sources all across the world wide web. We provide one reliable source for the new builds, one issue/feature tracker site and one discussion topic (this one).
If you have noticed a bug, had a crash, or have a feature request for the application, you can ceate a new Ticket on this tracker site: http://nipg.inf.elte.hu:8556. All the active tickets holding these informations are under the 'View tickets' tab. Please don't write posts about these matters in this topic.
If you feel you stressed the software well enough and didnt notice behaviour failures (or it has already been fixed), please feel free to post about that so we an add your device to the site under the 'tested devices' secion here: http://www.colleyeder.com/mousense/installation/
For additional information such as installation, usage, background, contact address etc. please visit our website at: www.colleyeder.com/mousense

Thank you for your contribution!
Market stable release is very close. Until the software is published there won't be any more links here. You all helped a lot with your reports and comments, so i'd like to thank you very much!

Brilliant concept. I'm interested to see how well this can be implemented.
Tried but calibration fails each time I run it. Added new support ticket. Though I see another xda moderator has also logged the same fault on a different device.

Please try the new version out.
Google Play is the worst place for early software build test, hence most of the end users don't intend to provide any bugreport/support ticket in case of a crash or strange behaviour in occasion. Speaking of alpha stage, there are losts of these occasions.
Sent 2 crash reports
Sent from my GT-I9100 running CM10
Decided that this app was a failure, then realized my fan blowing my hair probly wasn't helping. This app is pretty cool I just wish I could calibrate without it force closing
A great idea and excellent concept, tried it on my Galaxy S3
Seemed to fail during calibration but I gave it a go anyway. Works quite well but the pointer is very sensitive, although that may be to do with the calibration fail
I can't wait to see where this goes!
How do I click on something?
Wont work on my galaxy note, calibration failed and no cursor showing up,but it seems it does track head movement, did send log.
Still not working on Samsung I9100, calibration failure, also sent a log.

Every beta tester gets a unique code to use at the startup of the rom. The crack bypasses that.
That's something unique, a new information for me.
Thanks @UnknownGeek for indicating this.
Well as long as it is harmless, it is fine.
I'd Just been a bit doubtful since a lot of sites would have Crack with Trojans in many sites. That's all

It is very smooth and minimal, not many apps installed. But most important is that it is Multirom compatible. It had MiUI type horizontal launcher, permissions manager, custom UC styled browser, Baidu IME, a custom market, Google play store and some chinese app I couldn't guess at. I havent installed many apps so its is quite responsive. And there is no quick settings in the notification drop down.

It had MiUI type horizontal launcher, permissions manager, custom UC styled browser, Baidu IME, a custom market, Google play store and some chinese app I couldn't guess at. I havent installed many apps so its is quite responsive. And there is no quick settings in the notification drop down.

Oh, I didn't realize that, these Chinese OEMs and their need to mimic fruits. The "pull up" gesture is a bit glitchy. I haven't stressed the phone yet, but doesn't seem to heat up much.

is this rom using camera2 API? long exposure seems broken. try lots of apps but the longest expose time is 1sec. also default camera app is missing.

I AM NOT THE DEV OR A BETA TESTER!
I found a link on Chinese OPO forum, but unable to download it. So asked someone for a mirror and he uploaded it. So here you go, all credits goes to @NisseCool from Oneplus forums.

This includes crack and gapps.
I haven't tested it, I am not responsible for bricked devices or lost data. But I would be happy if you try it and share your thoughts.
