Miui jellybean is the best rom i use so far - Nexus S General

I said it because this rom has no problem with media scanner. I can view all my media files easily without having to wipe usb storage or to delete .nomedia or what so ever. It currently my daily use rom. Im happy playing with it event it lacks in mode.

dont know what your having problems with... probably flashed at least 8 different JB roms... never had media problems.
Honestly cant stand miui, tons of engrish and straight up asian characters EVERYWHERE.

Maybe u are a lucky guy who hv a lucky nexus s. Im having this media problem from the 1st jb rom i flashed. Miui.us is the first jb rom that i fully satisfied because there is no problem with media. It doesnt mean that i dislike the other roms. But yeah. I love rom that can play music and smooth .

I've flashed nearly every jb Rom available for my ns4g, with the exception of miui. I've never liked the look of miui. I've never had a problem with media files, but have seen and helped correct several issues that resulted from the rom manager app update that put the files where they didn't belong...

It means he's a racist

when i use chomp sms , sometimes get force close

Everything is actually noticeably faster for me including the web browser. The default music player it has is pretty awesome too. Task bar is good. The only problem I have so far is the default web browser is having trouble with JW player. Every time I try to play a clip it goes to a 403 forbidden error. Other than that, it's a lot snappier than the ICS rom I had before (also MIUI, Oodie Prime).

Google needs to put it in aosp as soon as possible. I wish they didn't kill off cornerstone as that was originally going to be part of cm but google told them to cease and desist.
Google would have to develop that from scratch, because that's Samsung-proprietary code.
Also, I hope that Google does NOT clutter up Android with stuff like this, for this we have ROMs like PA (which is already stuffed full of features that it barely works as a daily driver).

Paranoid android was great when it was based on cm. Its in 4.2 when they tried to go aosp and make their own tweaks that it became a mess. They need to go back to cm or switch to AOKP(uses CMs main code).
It wouldn't be that difficult to implement multi window. The cornerstone code would be a good starting point and android apps already scale to different resolutions without an issue.

[Q] Lag, lag, lag...

I love that there's a great selection of ROMs for the Find 5. My problem is that they all run really smooth at first but then start to lag badly after installing apps. I barely modify any of the launcher settings. I've experienced this with every ROM I have flashed. I am using TWRP and always reset to factory settings and wipe the system before installing a ROM and I still experience lag. Am I doing anything wrong or any ideas on what to do to get rid of the lag?
You getting lag on stock also? I haven't noticed any real lag anywhere :-/
Sent from my X909 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
When I was on stock I would get a little lag, and the UI in general would be choppy, some frame drops. Its worse when I flashed any of the ROMs. At first its smooth, then it starts to slow down.

On both Official and Beta firmware, I get the same experience. CM 10.1 has been the best for me so far bit it still lags quite a bit. I see people post that some custom ROMs are as smooth as a stock Nexus 4 but I can't get close to that at all with any of them. I have a Nexus 4 and its buttery smooth. I just wish I can get my Find 5 to be as smooth....then I'd be extremely happy.

Pure Stock Project

Hello guys!
After trying and trying to get cdma stock rom working on gsm I realized that it was impossible LOL.
So I decided to start a new project instead: I called it the "Pure Stock Project".
It is a rom based on. 79 firmware, modded by me to look like cdma.
Let me know what you guys think, and if I should release it, screenshots in attachment!

Thank you man :good:
The only thing is that some semc apps use a button reference in the SemcGenericUxpRes, with a white text color, so in apps like dialer text is sometimes hard to see in some buttons
I'm trying to find a solution, since it's impossible to decompile and correctly recompile that framework.

gaming on GB is always good, ram depends on your kernel, 720p kernel on GB is recommended (or doomkernel)
i have usually 240mb ram in stock GB - never faced any problems in the heaviest games. ram and benchmark-numbers (especially antutu) is just numbers-porn.

most of the code is taken straight from the 2.3.3 sources that google released, that's why we cannot port it

try to mod lockscreen to be like cm7
mod dialer to look like AOSP

Actually, I tought of implementing ADJ tweaks and adrenobooster v0.7 by default, since it's still a stock rom, not an AOSP rom like cm7
In other words, I've changed most of the png's in the framework-res.apk (hard work lol), systemui.apk, most of the app to match cdma's icons, and other changes that I don't remember, so I don't think it should be easily used as a base rom

[MOD] 8-BIT and Super Smash Bros. SOUNDPACK (updated 11-1-14)

UPDATE 10/2014
Hi All, I was asked to share my 8 bit sound pack with you all. I always enjoyed the simplistic 5 channel sounds of the Nintendo Entertainment System (80's Baby) and since I have 8bit icons, wallpaper, etc I wanted matching sounds. Any comments are welcome the aren't perfect for everyone. If you have an idea for a better sound for a specific action or other ringtones or notifications, I am all ears.
Included in this .zip are all ui sounds, ringtones, notifications, and alarms.
Warning this .zip DOES replace your ui sounds, but DOES NOT erase your notification or ringtones simply adds some 8bit ones.
I used this mod with my nexus 4 and been using it forever with aosp based rom (RASTAKAT/L Preview) on my Nexus 5. I am only posting now because the forum is quite quiet lately. If anyone would like to take my little mod and use it in their work just give credit where credit is do.
All the zips are in one folder please ensure that you select the right one for your phone.......

Sup everybody, I just completed the SSB soundpack and I was wondering if anyone would like to give it a try and give me some feedback.
So the pack is inundated with SSB sounds from the UI to the alarms, and when you get a call the crowd cheers for your main SSB character.
If you like SSB Melee, PM, or SSB4 this might be for you.
Feedback is really appreciated.
--quick notes-- works with Lollipop or Jellybean. revert is now in main post^^. revert works for Lollipop or JellyBean.
