Adventures of Andy the Android

Hi all,
Here is a small project that I posted in Android General. Just wanted to share with you guys. I think it is a great idea and it'll be a lot of fun! Take a look!

Hi all.
Mods, please move this thread to a more appropriate place if needed.
My name is Kevin, or aka DarkOnion. Many of you guys in the general Android community probably won't know me, but for those in the Droid X and Droid 2 community related the name DarkOnion to the scripts used to root the Droid 2 on Froyo and then the Droid X when 2.2 was made available. Anyways, that is not why I am here today. I just wanted to share an experiment that I am planning to start in the very near future.
It is kind of a social experiment of sorts. What I would like to do is send an Andy the Android plushy around and have people take pics of him doing cool things. Really anything you think would be cool. Trying to get the ball rolling. I got a website going, and I'll be setting up a blog in the near future to keep track of Andy's movements.

I don't mind about the request part. I just don't like the idea of mailing him. Especially across country. He just sits in a box for 5-7 days... But you certainly can request for him!

I like it but it seems like something that's going to be difficult to get started. Once it catches on it will be easy

Well, I already ordered the two plushies. As long as everyone likes the idea, then it is all good. I hope everyone makes the time to read the blog when I get it up.

Dude, I got a great story. I got a friend who was like... why are you writing a root program, there is one that already exists. And I was like "What?!" I didn't know about it. And then he gives me a link to your program. And I looked at it, and sent an image back to him with a screen shot of your program with my name circled and was like... hey dude... you know that DarkOnion and I are the same right?

Cyanogenmod 7 - WIMAX WORKS!

Just flashed the nightly cm_supersonic_full-8.zip along with gapps-gb-20110120-signed.zip. The 4G, GPS, and it everthing else is are so far working fine.
It is still considered an alpha build, but it might be interesting to look into.

Wimax has been working for a while now.

Some of us have to learn by trial and error, it would be nice if we could get help and encouragement instead of destructive criticism.

Again, my original point remains. If we're here to talk about technology, why does it matter if there's 300,000 penises, or 100,000 penises and 200,000 vaginas? Does it really matter?
Unless the forum is going to start banning people that are a certain gender and turning it into some sort of gender social club, then by all means, have your penis/vagina bar chart topped off and ready with the latest statistics. Otherwise, threads asking who is and isn't a female makes you come off kind of...desperate?

Now that's badazzzzz, I'd vote to keep that in the ROM as opposed to the Lock button. Now we'll see what everyone else thinks about that, even after the final decision is made.....
