[Q] Unbranding HTC Trophy NZ - Trophy General

Hey Guys, I've got a HTC Trophy Vodafone NZ and I'm looking at flashing a custom ROM to it but I am a little confused with a few things.
1. Regarding the Goldcard method from this I am confused at this step "You need to download a nodo rom for your device and extract Ruu_signed.nbh via Winrar. Rename it to
-Sparimg.nbh for Spark (Trophy)"
Which ROM can i use for this step? I can't seem to find a NZ ROM in this thread.
2. Will my phone be reset after doing the Goldcard method and downgrading my spl?
3. So the Goldcard method will unbrand my phone and allow me to flash custom roms?
Here is the info on my phone:
OS Version: 7.10.8107.79
Firmware revision number:2250.21.51201.179
Hardware revision number: 0003
Radio software version: 5.69.09.05a_22.50.50.21U
Radio Hardware version: A.102.0.D4
Bootloader version: 5.12.2250.1(135657)
Chip SOC Version: 2.2.5.0
Sorry for all the noob questions guys!
Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi all I do is follow this link to put HSPL on the phone and I just select any ROM I want from here.
Currently using Dynamics.

Before putting HSPL, I have to downgrade the bootloader right? since mine is version 5.12.2250.1.
Would I have to get a NZ nodo rom or any from this thread for the goldcard method? which one would you recommend?

As far as I remember I dwngraded to this rom first.

Ended up using RUU_Spark_HTC_Europe_1.20.401.00_Spark_5.54.09_RELEASE.exe.
followed the goldcard method, did the RSPL/HSPL as instructed and flashed the Dynamics ROM. Working great!
Thanks for all your help!

but after alot of experimenting i have found a solution. i thought i'd post this to help anyone else out with the same problem!
I bought an M600 on orange PAYG however on inserting my orange contract sim i can use the phone but cannot send SMS messages or adjust phone settings, if i attempt to all i get is the message above.
having spoken to orange about this several times it turns out to be a sim compatibility issue. orange however do not support sim swapping all they can do is send out sims compatible with the handset they sent you! i.e the N73 i got on upgrade.
So my solution, i paid imei-check to CID unlock the phone, i actually already unlocked the phone using lockiwiz but that will only remove the simlock on a G4 and AFAIK imei-check are the only people to unlock the CID.
once unlocked i backed up the shipped rom to SD as described in the prophet WIKI (just in case i needed to restore it to orange settings) and then upgraded the rom.
i tried several shipped roms and eventually found this rom the
RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_?QtekWWE_Ship.exe

to not only work but also be in english. its a great rom, very basic without all the junk orange supply as standard
I don't really know why this has solved my problem i think its something to do with the radio rom but whatever it is it works perfectly!
below is my phones new info, if someone with the orange Rom could post the same I'd be interested to compare the versions.
ROM version: 2.20.7.34 WWE
ROM date: 7/10/06
Radio version: 02.47.21
Protocol Version: 4.1.13.24
ExtROM version: 2.20.7.114
I hope this helps someone out there!
for discussion purposes
That sounds weird why it works like that since my understanding of unlocking CID was merely so that one could install different ROMs. Someone pls correct me if I'm wrong here.

it is!!!! i needed to update the rom to get it to work! as above i stated that i changed from the orange rom to the qtek one, hence CID needs to be unlocked

Afaik, if you remove IPL/SPL from the ROM (There should be tutorials somewhere around here on how to do it) you don't have to CID unlock your phone.
I would really like to try this! I am always getting the same error so often whenever I send a new sms. I have an i-mate JAMin, prophet touch X ipl&spl 2.20, gsm 2.69. I can't find the ROM you're talking about in the xda-developer's ftp. Can you please upload it? Thank you so much!
its on the wiki page
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Prophet_ROMs
Okay If I installed this, do I have to reinstall wm6 and then my current ROM again(Prophet Touch X)?
yes i expect so, i'm no expert, thats just the way i solved the problem on mine!
i think it has to do with the radio rom version
You can update the radio ROM without having to change the normal ROM.
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Prophet_Radio_1_Upgrade
I am currently using v2.69. Does it mean I have to downgrade or test other versions? How about you? What version are you using guys?
hey as i stated, i'm not entirely sure what eaxctly it was that the replacement rom fixed but it did fix it!
Are you guys using orange M600s? whats your rom info?
mine was:
ROM version: 2.20.7.34 WWE
ROM date: 7/10/06
Radio version: 02.47.21
Protocol Version: 4.1.13.24
ExtROM version: 2.20.7.114
unfortunately i had my phone stolen so i can't help much more than that.
Okay I have fixed mine. I tried all versions but only version 2.30.21 of Radio ROM only fixed my problem. Thanks guys for all the help.

wow - does that mean you guys are using a 3g sim in a orange m600??
if so - what is a radio rom (and what does it replace?)
can you run these radio roms with wm6.1? or does it mean going back to 5?

Cant flash Telstra Branded T9193

Hi guys,
Just got my new HD2... finally!
Anyway its telstra branded and I have some experience with flashing roms as I use to have a jasjam that i pretty much raped with flashing every time i got bored with a rom.
Anyway on to the point, Ive been trying flash my new Hd2.. im pretty sure im following the instructions but each time I do, i get a error.
Ive searched the forums but cant seem to find anything relevant.
Specs on the fone are
Flash Size: 512mb
OS version: 5.2.21869 (21869.5.0.82)
Manilla Version: 1.0.19211622.1
ROM Version: 1.49.841.1 (71528) WWE
ROM Date: 23 Nov 2009
Radio Version: 2.05.51.11
Protocol Version: 15.28.50.07U
----------------------------------------
Images attached:
Error 1 is when I try to flash my HD from a official RoM from the HTC site, using this file:
_HTC HD2_RUU_Leo_HKCSL_WWE_1.72.831.1_Radio_CRC_Signed_15.32.50.07U_2.07.51.22_2_Ship
Error 2 is from trying to use the Hardspls2
----------------------------------------
Its like its telling me its incompatible but Im pretty sure they are.. Am I missing something? I really want to debrand the Telstra stuff and use a nice RoM from here, is anyone able to point me in the right direction?
Thanks heaps!
no matter you can delete this thread, figured it out, haha im a tool
Question
How did you resolve your issues? I'm having similar ones
for the T9193 you must use HSPL, and not use HSPL2.
In addition, HSPL only works with SPL version 1.42.
SPL 1.42 is only available in the shipped HTC 1.49 ROM version. See here for shipped 1.49 Telstra ROM.
So, you need to ensure you've got SPL 1.42 installed, then HSPL, then flash to what ever you like...

First Windows Phone 7 ROM for HD 7 SPL flashing only from other operator, by ansar.

Dear forum members,
I successfully extracted and flashed the SPL of the official ROM:
RUU_Schubert_O2_DE_1.14.207.01_Radio_5.51.09.06a_22.30.50.09
i.e. SPL 1.14.2250.0(110422)
on the device that had the SPL of the official ROM:
RUU_Schubert_HTC_Europe_1.16.401.01_Radio_5.51.09.06a_22.30.50.09U
i.e. SPL 1.16.2250.0
I cannot believe it, it is amazing.

great news ansar, can't waite, you gave me a hope to flash my t-mobile HD7 whenever the arabic language released.

Hi,
Yes, i will create for all devices i can, see thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=888747

I've been trying to put the OS image of the PD2911000*1.20.531.01*WWE*T-MOB010 together with the Radio_5.52.09.16_22.33a.50.10U and the SPL_1.61.2250.0(114451) onto my device which is a PD2910000*1.61.207.01*WWE*O2___102 because I want the US English language MUI (0C09) instead of the British English language MUI (0809) but I have so far been unsuccessful in reassembling a working NBH image that would actually upload at least the signature to the phone. Trying to flash an image that isn't for the device will upload the signatures and then fail after the check on the phone says "not this device". It's a real PITA...
O2 Uk
Hello,
you think it will be possible to flash a HTC HD7 O2 UK with a Rom Europe Fr?

Hi,
When we buy a device it is always branded to an operator and may be locked to this.
In later case you cannot change the sim card and you will need an unlock code.
You have the HTC_Europe_1.23.401.02_Radio_5.51.09.06a_22.30.50.09U
so you can unbrand it and play with almost any operator.
See my thread for ROMs, section A.

[Q] Back to pre-NoDo

Hi all,
I'm quite new to all this, so I hope I'm not asking too dumb questions. I tried reading a whole lot of topics but there are things still not clear to me.
I bought a Trophy with a custom ROM on it (DFT, Mango), but I want it restored to its original version (pre NoDo). For starters I don't get the whole RSPL/HSPL thing, but I think I don't have to update that since my custom ROM already required 'replacing' (?) my bootloader. But for my convenience, if you have replaced it with a RSPL, will your phone replace only de bootloader with the previous bootloader or the ROM as well after a hard reset?
Anyway, if everything's o.k. with my bootloader then what ROM do I have to choose?
This my phone's info:
OS version : 7.10.7720.68.0

I think my Trophy is unbranded but I don't know how I can tell for sure.
Thanks
Same here. I've bought htc Trophy (unbranded) with the DFT 7714 rom and I'd like to revert to the official path. I was searching and looking all over the place and I still don't know how to do it. Can you guys help?

Ask ansar in his unbranded Trophy ROM thread to upload a pre-nodo ROM. Download the ROM, upzip, run ROMUpdateUtility.exe and follow the instructions.
Flashing a pre-nodo ROM should replace the HSPL you both have, with the one that comes with the pre-nodo ROM.
Please note that if you are not sure if your phone is branded or unbranded flashing the wrong ROM can brick your phone!!!!
Second note, if you flash a ROM you lose all data on your phone. At the moment there is no way of backing up data such as text messages.

First you need to install RSPL/HSPL and after flash rom!
so you mean, it is safe to do use. and i wont half brick my phone due to incompatibilty issues posted by other users about branded and non branded trophy

There is always a risk with HSPL/RSPL, as it is stated in the thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195647
But if you follow the directions and READ carefully you should be ok, but no garantee though.
After you succesfully flashed HSPL/RSPL you should be able to flash any cooked Trophy ROM to your phone.
Without HSPL/RSPL you are only able to flash Vodafone DE branded Trophy ROMs.
