Works VERY WELL! I have lived by miren browser... this blows miren out of the water... very snappy to load pages! My new favorite browser! Now they just need to make it work on something other than ics and it'll be the only browser I need!
Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk

I agree, its pretty snappy and it feels like it should have been there all along.
I like it very much.

I just downloaded it and I really like it so far. The tab system is really smooth and good looking and there are a bunch of nice optimizations (like the magnification bubble that pops up when clicking on small links, like page numbers on a thread). The desktop bookmarks is SUPER laggy though, it takes a good 15-20 seconds for it to load and let you click on something.

Been using this on my PC's for years and I love it on my phone. Fastest browser yet! I just hope they come out with a dark version. Previously I used the dark dolphin mini and blacked out miren, chrome is soooo bright!

So what. Flash is a dead technology and if you really need to use it don't install the old browser.

Its only a beta, I'm sure more features will be implemented. Leave a review on the market to include flash just please don't give it a negative rating, its a great browser.

How often do people go to Kongregate on their phones through the browser to play games? There's enough apps with similar games, and you will still have the stock browser with flash if you really need it. I find that I barely use it in the browser. The Chrome browser is really well put together and will only get better!

HTML5 is just about ready to bust out; youtube has a whole branch for it. I am thinking really soon HTML5 will get the big push. (in that non-computer geeks will know it exists)

i agree flash is out dated but alot of sites still use it. thought it deserve a mention for people like me that dont want to have multiple apps for one purpose cluttering their phones. chrome beta is a great browser but until flash is completly gone it wont work for me. just my prefrence.

Running this on CM9-alpha1 and loving it! Tab management is the best I have seen to date, very clean. Also, syncing bookmarks and history is a huge plus. I type "f" in the address bar and it auto-suggests straight to the Epic 4G Android Dev page on XDA, just like it does on my laptop and desktop.

Irrelevant. It is a browser's job to show me web pages. If there's an old page with useless flash content, it is the responsibility of the browser to render it.
Regardless, I downloaded this earlier and wonder why it hasn't been part of Android all along, or why it wasn't just an update to the stock browser. Google now has two very similar mobile browsers for Android.

I've been using Dolphin hd lately but sometimes it's just really slow. The Mini version seems faster at times, but the lack of that scrolling left bookmarks bar and toolkit bar bums me out. I just can't decide which one to use. Opera browser is really fast to...there are just to many to choose from. What one do you guys prefer?
I'm using the new Dolphin HD 5.0 beta. While it can be slow at times, it at least supports flash, which Opera doesn't. Once Opera supports flash, I'll switch, until then, sticking with DHD5.

Yea I just got an update today for dolphin HD. Amazing!
I seem to be a minority but I always end up using the stock browser after trying any of the options.
Any browser that has a splash screen is instantly out. I don't think an application as important and as often used as a web browser should make me stare at a screen while it loads.
That said, Opera seems pretty nice. I've been using it on my Nook running CM7 and that may just win me over from the stock browser.

Really? I think its faster now. I only use like 2 add ons though.
I use Dolphin HD (on my evo and my xoom) and I love it, no desire to even look at another browser, and I've tried them all.
Between the side scrolling and tab management I'm sold.. well, I would be sold if it wasn't free, lol.

I'll check out that maxthon. I actually uninstalled Dolphin hd. I don't know about you guys but when I'm browsing with my phone I use the browser to its potential. I almost do what I would do on my desktop. Every time I would be about 25 minutes into browser with dolphin, it would start to be really slow and glitchy. Links won't work sometimes. Sometimes the whole pages wouldn't load. I wouldn't be able to click on links, simply because they didn't load. Idk, so I've been using Miren lately and love it.

that is so not true. i use flash everyday on my phone with embedded youtube videos on sites, watch the euro on my phone thanks to flash support and a lot of other stuff. It's true that a lot of the bigger budget more mainstream site have converted to HTML5, but i find it absolutely revolting that when i'll need it, i wont be able to use flash. I really hope some devs cook something up for that.

Its not like its not going to work anymore. Its just no longer being supported or updated. Flash 11 is all we need for every website. Iphone users would give there left nut to have an apk that works. Even if it never gets updated. Maybe even both nuts.

Im not saying that its not outdated, i'm saying that a very large number of sites still use flash and our apk will work until the site goes to html 5. So it no longer getting updated is not a big deal. Its old news.
Now, If our flash apk simply doesnt work on jellybean, then you will have some upset folks.

Yup. I had a LOLApple moment a few days ago in a bagel place. My 4yo wanted to sit next to another ~4yo and his mom. After a few minutes, my 4yo asked if he could use my phone to play a game on the Nick Jr website. I gave him my phone. When the other 4yo saw this, he asked his mom to do the same with her iphone. Ruhtroh, Nick Jr is a flash site and so her iphone wouldn't load it.

New XDA Theme

Well this new look is a big change. I refresh my page and bam! New layout, lol.
Thoughts on it?
Too bright. I'd prefer an inverted version.

Too big. I browse XDA on my second monitor which is a 15 inch. Besides that, I think it looks alright.
I like it. It is bigger. Should look better on my 24" Monitor when I get it, also should look much better at 1080p as well.
it is a bit large but I think I like it better than the 2010 theme. I wish they had a floating bar a the top though, one that would stay while you scroll with the account options and maybe page selection.
I fixed my problem by going to control panel, edit options, and changing the skin to the last one on the list. Now I get the nice theme and I will not have to read XDA on my bigger monitor.

That is your choice. As is me blocking adverts on my machine.
If they truly wanted to, they could prevent users from reaching the forums that have ad blocking apps, extensions and host files preventing their revenue sources.

Is it just me or do a ton of websites not work properly on the N4?

Maybe it's the lack of flash support or my bootlegged version but I often catch myself wondering if a page will display properly or not before tapping the link. None of these issues with the HOX.
Is it just me?

AOSP browser has to reside in system/app to work, meaning you'd need root. You might try using a different browser that supports flash. I believe dolphin browser HD does.
Then install flash player http://d-h.st/x4v
Oh, and don't forget to enable third party apps in settings.
I managed to download both Dolphin HD and flash and I still don't see some flash content.. I'm not going to root and partial flash is so crippling. . I can view flash sites like liveleak though.
You'd think there'd be a way by now!

Android doesn't support flash anymore and adobe isn't supporting mobile. Flash sucks, but unfortunately a LOT of sites use it.
Just out of curiosity, what keeps you from rooting?
I had a bad experience rooting concerning battery life and choppiness in tapatalk/browsers so I said screw that. Given, I didn't spend much time in between rooting and flashing Cm10.1 and also I flashed a really early build of CM, less than a month into development. I wonder if things have improved but I love getting 5-6 hours screen on and having everything soooo smooth that I'm not willing to mess with stock.
Somebody really needs to come up with a fix for those in my boat. Maybe I'll have to learn how to code fluently (only know extremely bare basics) and try it myself.

Dolphin browser is one of the minimal theme browser which has become a favorite. Its gesture based web surfing makes browsing fast and easy. Make gestures and the browser understands which page to render. It also has voice based web searching feature. Some of the important features which makes this browser different from the rest are: Webzine (Fast Web page loading, with no ads), Speed dial, sidebars and interesting add-ons.
