Weird PUK issue can anyone help? - Optimus 7 General

Hi there guys I have a LG C900 that is an ATT phone. I inserted a non att sim card and have PUK locked the phone. I tried calling ATT and asking for PUK code which they were able to generate but the code did not work. I also have the unlock code for this phone but whenever a non att sim card is inserted it asks for a PUK code. Does anyone know what I can do?

Not sure ATT could help, where is the sim from and what are you trying to do with it?
Is the PUK code related to the phone brand or model?
The PUK code has nothing to do with your mobile phone’s brand (i.e. Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, Nextel, Sony-Ericsson, LG) or model. The PUK is only tied to the SIM card.
What happens if I lost or forgot my PUK code?
If you are a postpaid user (Globe, Smart, Sun Cellular, Verizon, T-Mobile, Orange or AT&T), your cell provider may be able to provide you with your PUK code. Just call them up, authenticate your identity by answering some questions and they will give you the PUK for your SIM card. This is easy because the telco can verify you as the owner of the SIM card or the mobile number.

PUK Code was generated with an over seas sim card. If I put ATT sim card in the device it does not ask for PUK Code. But also if I put a T-Mobile Sim card it asks for PUK.

I have the same problem as you have you solved?

same problem here, any solution !

I need a sim card from Outside the U.S. or do I?

i just recived my unlock code from tmobile and i want to test the code and see if it unlocks my phone.
where can i get a foriegn sim card?
is there a website? or can i unlock it without a foreign sim card?
again, i have my code
also, lets say, i am in germany.........
and i get a sim card from over there.........can people still call my US number? or will that change?
is this legit?
http://www.oneroam.com
you dont need a foriegn sim card,
all you need is an "unsupported" sim card... any non Tmobile sim would work
once you have it in the phone and power on you will get a message like
"Please input unlock code"
punch in the code, then it will "find" the network the sim is attached to... so if you use an at&t sim card it will register to the att network in about 30 secs
.....
so mainly is
1. use an unsupported sim card
2. enter unlock code
3. verify it connects to the unsupported network (at&t since those sim;s are easy to get)
4. put your normal simcard back

the number is tied to the sim
if you put in a sim card from another operator you get a new number
and people can't call the number of your old sim
even if you get a dual-Sim holder and have 2 sim in the device granted it support it
most places the rules apply that if other people call your USA number
while you're outside
they only pay for calling you in USA
and you pay for directing the call from USA to what ever country
you're presently in
if this is fine by you you don't even need to unlock it as tmobile would have
roaming agreement in many countries in the world but at a high cost of cause

unlocking x10 without another carrier sim card

Good Day,
I got an unlock code from mobileincanada.com but I don't have another carrier sim card to force it to ask me to sim unlock the phone.
Is there anyway to enter the sim unlock code on the X10 with putting a different sim card in?
Thanks
why not use one of your friends sim card?
Where are you located? You can easily go to a phone shop and they will lend you a sim so you can do your unlock.

Sim Unlocking Quantum Question?

Hello All.
I just moved back home and brought back with me a LG Quantum. I had really wanted the HTC Arrive from Sprint, but the lack of GSM capability was the deal breaker.
I purchased the LG Quantum SIM unlock code, but when I tried inputting the code, I got a PUK code error. I understand this a Unlock code that is associated with only the SIM card. So before I attempt unlocking again, my questions are:
1. Should I get another SIM card from my home network and re-input the code?
2. Has the PUK Code blocked the phone from accepting any SIM's other than AT&T?
3. IN the event that I have to get a PUK code, is this code specific to a SIM Card, the IMEI of the phone or AT&T?
Thanks for your help.
As i understand your trying to unlock the phone so you can use any SIM card?
1.No contact the service provider to get the puk code but i find it unusual that you would get a puk code when trying to unlock it. That usually happens when your try to enter a SIM pin in to many times which could have happend. in which case you have to contact that service provider to retrieve that PUK code.
2.The puk code is requested after the SIM pin was entered in to many times incorectly.
3.The PUK code is specific to the SIM card.

How to unlock my Nexus 6p? EE UK

Hi guys, I got my Nexus 6p last week from EE (UK network) and I have a problem:
Next week I'm going away to a diffrent country (Poland) for Christmas and New Years Eve and wanted to put a SIM card from that country into my phone, but it says I need a PUK code to do it... So I called EE and said what the issue was, and it turns out I will be able to get after I will have been for at least 6 months with EE ( I'm a new customer).
Is there any way I can unblock the phone on my own?
Cheers in advance.
If it requests a PUK code, you have to find the PUK code that belongs to that SIM card (from Poland).
So, you'll have to call Poland for the PUK code, or have to check the documentation you got with that SIM card.
I think EE was talking about a network unlock code, that's a complete different thing.
Edit: A PUK code is normally needed when you enter an incorrect PIN 3 times.

Yeah, you're right, I meant a network unlock code.
So is there a way I can unlock it on my own?
Anybody?
I used this http://m.sim-unlock.net/sim-lock/72/Unlock_by_code_for_Huawei_phones/#details worked a treat and I had the code within 24 hours

Is this Region Lock?

Hi All,
I'm currently interning in India, but before I came, I purchased a n900 and paid an online service to unlock it and they send me these codes,
NETWORK=50777079
PROVIDER=89981835
SUBPROVIDER=64259048
DEFREEZE=50242708
EXTRA=03516020
I put them in according the instructions and the phone was unlocked. It worked in Israel and when I arrived in India I used a local BSNL SIM card for two days and then it abruptly stopped working and I was given this prompt to enter a pin on startup.
"PIN to unlock SIM service provider"
If I dismiss this prompt, there is a permanent notification that reads,
"Invalid SIM card
Network locked SIM card inserted"
When I remove the SIM, it detects there is no SIM.
I have tried factory reset, re-entering the unlock codes, and different SIM cards for a different provider. My SIM works on other phones, and I have spoken to the provider who insists is a phone issue and directed to me samsung who says they only fix phones purchased in India, so they gave me a customer service number who directed me back to samsung.
It sounds like region lock, but it was my understanding that the phone wouldn't have worked at all.
So my question is, how can I fix whatever this is?
Have you tried another sim in the note? Did you try the sim on another phone? Is it possible the phone has been blacklisted by the carrier?
