[Follow Up] American Express "Premium Return" (return purchases up to 6 months later) - Galaxy Tab 10.1 General

[Follow Up] American Express "Premium Return" (return purchases up to 6 months later)
I am posting this as a follow-up to a thread I started a number of months ago only to show how this AMEX "service" functioned with respect to my Galaxy Tab 10.1. The original thread got very acrimonious with some people getting downright nasty, accusations of scam by Amex flying all over the place and a lot of general BS from all the would be, wannabe & so-called lawyers. I requested it be closed.
This is the original thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1141614
Anyway, backstory is I purchased a 10.1 Tab back in June basically for my wife (who really wanted a iPad 2). It was used a couple of hours and sat in a drawer 99% of the time. I decided to make use of my "up to 180 day return option." I purchased this Amex "plan" just for use with the Galaxy Tablet if it turned out, as I had expected, that my wife would have no use for it. I ended up getting her an iPad 2 the other day which is perfect for her.
This is the time-line of how the progress of the return went:
Tuesday, 10/4, 9:00AM, Called to request return of Galaxy Tab 10.1 32GIG for which I paid $600 at Amazon on June 16th and was given a claim number.
Tuesday, 10/4, 9:20AM, received an email confirmation of claim with instructions to mail or fax copy of Amazon receipt and & copy of credit card statement (with personal info blacked out). Letter said it could take “up to” 7 days to see the faxed documents in the system.
Tuesday, 10/4, 10:00AM, faxed documents.
Wednesday, 10/5, 2:18AM, received email confirmation faxed documents were received and message stating “it can take up to 30 days to process documents and get approval to return.”
Friday, 10/7, 2:00PM, 36hrs later, received email with approval of claim and return mailing label. I had to mail package at my expense but was told any fees up to $20 will be reimbursed. Letter stated it could take “up to” 30 days after package is received by them and item is checked to get my refund.
Friday, 10/7, 3:30PM, Shipped package USPS Priority with $600 insurance and signature confirmation, cost $19.70.
Saturday, 10/8, 11:00AM, mailed copy of shipping receipt for reimbursement.
Tuesday, 10/11, 9:00AM, Per USPS tracking saw that Package with Tablet was received by Amex
Wednesday, 10/12, 2:30AM, confirmation email that shipping reimbursement receipt was received.
Friday, 10/14 received confirmation that item was checked and was in "approved condition."
Tuesday, 10/18, 1:00PM received a confirmation letter that the payment was approved and “my check for $619.92 is in the mail.”
All in all a painless experience and anything other than a scam.

So let me get this straight. You bought the Tab and didn't like/want it any longer. You used the Amex benefit to get rid of it. Other than any constructive commentary on what made you not like/want it, who cares what you did with it after that. This is more a post about the workings of the Amex benefits program than it is the G-Tab. As long as you're happy.

Exactly. It was posted only to show that unlike what a number of people in the original thread stated, that the "program" was not a scam. They kept wanting "proof" that it wasn't a scam so I provided it.
Everything else written had no purpose other than to explain why it was posted. There are a lot of other threads started here with much less information and value. I can see all the trolls coming out of the woodwork so I may as well just have this closed now.

I have no dog in this hunt as I never even saw the original thread. Your post(s) seem a little self-indulgent rather than informational. Anyone with an Amex card knows how the program works so you're certainly not enlightening them. It's irrelevant to anyone who doesn't have an Amex card. So what was the point of both your original post and this encore?

Warning about Amazon rebates

I'd like to warn everyone to avoid buying any wireless product on Amazon.com if you expect to receive your rebate. Although I followed the procedures carefully, the third-party rebate outfit (RebateHQ.com) has repeatedly (three times to date) sent emails telling me the rebate was invalid because "Product is wireless invalid," and each time retracted it, until the last one received Saturday night. It shows as invalid at this time, despite the fact that Amazon has "intervened" twice on my behalf, or so they state.
This rebate outfit will not return emails as they promise to do within 24-48 hours, but I did get through to Amazon customer service by phone and received polite lip service. After one month and promises from Amazon the problem would be resolved, the rebate still shows up as "wireless invalid." Amazon cannot explain what this means, and its meaning totally escapes me.
It has been 16 weeks since submitting the on-line rebate and the rebate agreement states that it will be paid within 12-15 weeks. The last canned email from Amazon states that they are working on it and to expect an answer in eight weeks--not the rebate check, but a reassessment of my rebate status. There is no provision for replies to their emails, further demonstrating their lack of willingness to rectify the problem.
In another thread, others have also expressed problems with Amazon, one person stating that it took 10 months and lots of effort to get his Amazon rebate on another type of cell phone. If anyone else is having trouble I'd like to hear from you. I'm not sure if there's any legal recourse, as if a small-claim lawsuit is started they could just pay it immediately and avoid the legal wrangling. Any lawyers lurking that would offer advise?
The bottom line is that I'd advise against buying anything from Amazon.com that involves a rebate, unless of course you have no interest in receiving the rebate. FWIW, the Amazon customer-service phone number is not listed on their site, but it is 800-201-7575. If you have an outstanding rebate with them or plan on having one in the future, the likelihood of needing this number is high.
If you paid with a credit card contact them they can intervine on your behalf. You can also dispute the charges as the other party has failed to honor their end of the agreement.
kyphur is right, if you know yourself you've follow all guidelines, you can take it to court.
Rebates from radio shack are sh*t also. 5 times, I've never recieved my rebates, supposibly a check arrived in the mail box.
Kyphur, thanks for the idea, and I just got off the phone with my card company. They stated that rebates were independent offerings by the seller and not related to the credit-card purchase. Had they not delivered the phone or it was defective, they said they could intervene.

Expansys Discount

Hey guys if anyone was looking to buy any accessories for your HTC Touch Pro. I found this link from MoDaCo that will email you a discount voucher code for Expansys-USA.Com or Expansys.Com. I believe this discount is thanks to MoDaCo.Com if found it from google and thought I would share.
USA: It will give you $14.94 off any accessory purchase over $30.
Europe: It will give you £10 to put towards an order of £20 or more.
Just thought I would share my findings, also it noted that the discount ends on the 30th of November. So you only have a few days left to use the discount.

It says invalid voucher code.

Mine was rejected too. And please dont buy from Expansys. I had so much problem. They never reply to emails. Had to make some international calls to settle and the phone bills is a bomb.
thats wierd, i just ordered 2 items this afternoon and my code worked fine. it was on the USA site, i dont know if it matters where you live? Also Expansys is the same company that processes orders for the HTCAccessoryStore.Com i dunno if most of you know that. They are coming from the same company that HTC uses for their official accessory store.

I ordered an item from expansys on nov 11th. Website said "instock" on it. Got a conformation email from both paypal and expansys for the item the next day. I even checked expansys's website 2 days after my order and that item still showed "instock". 3 days after that they (expansys) send me an email that its out of stock but will ship now on nov 24th. Today is the 25th and no notice or anything from them. They also have not replyed to my emails. What a way to do business.

I ordered the Celio Corp's Redfly on 19Nov. The payment was made through bank transfer the following day. In the order confirmation email a Singapore/Hongkong/UK phone numbers were given. I called the Singapore phone number on Monday 24Nov but it was perpetually engaged. I managed to get through to the Hongkong number on Tuesday (yesterday). At that point I was then informed that I short paid by UKL12.00 which was not made clear in the order form (at the web-site). Meanwhile a number of emails was sent to the Singapore/Hongkong/UK offices. None was ever responded. I finally request for cancellation through e-mail at the same time asked how long would they take to process. Untill this moment no one cares to respond.
Expansys is not only unethical but very unprofessional.
Another interesting issue is that it costs differently for the same item if ordered from their various web-sites (UK/Europe, or Singapore, Hongkong.) STRANGE!!
I will never get anything from expansys ever again.
i always get my stuff from expansys. no problems yet - and i mainly use the uk one and they ship it to australia - uselly in 2-3days which is awesomly quick
Another eXpansys Horror Story
Ordered 2 items from eXpansys-USA last week. One item showed over 1600 in stock and the other showed over 200 in stock. They both stated "This product is at our central warehouse and should be shipped in 3 working days".
When I checked my order status the next day it indicated both items were out of stock. The item descriptions were correct but if I clicked on the link for either one they took me a page that stated "Product not found or is not available in this region". I also noted the item number in both links were not the item numbers I ordered. When I went to the correct pages for the items I had actually ordered they still showed plenty of stock.
At this point I emailed them and finally got a reply 3 days later in which it was stated "The unit is in transit from our central warehouse and will ship later this week." I sent a reply asking what that statement meant and asking if they ship FROM their central warehouse TO the customer or what. So far no reply and I really don't expect one.
Based on this experience, and quite a few similar "reviews" I read here and elsewhere, it appears this is typical of them. It is very unlikely that I will order from them again. A first time customer has pretty much become a last time customer.
if your order is delayed, like my tv out cable, just call and they will at least give you free priority shipping...... a whopping 5 bucks!

[Q] $100 MIR for Evo, the power of persistence

My story is typical, I'm guessing, I am posting to see how many others who have opted for the MIR route have had to go through as much?
Mailed in my MIR form 6/17/2010
About a week later, get an email with the tracking number. Say, 6/23/2010.
I keep checking, I keep checking. Says processing for almost a month.
Then 7/17/2010, it says Invalid, that my address was wrong. Interesting, because I know it isn't, claims my "zip code" must be a valid US zip code. I live in Brooklyn, I know my zip code is fine.
I call them that day. First phone call, the rebate CSR (who informs me that they cannot see my account address yet asks me to verify my name and address, huh?), she corrects the "incorrect address" It's so wildly egregously wrong that I KNOW someone had a turrets moment when they were typing.
I'm told everything is fine. Also that the website takes approximately 2 weeks to update that the rebate is back on track.
I check a week later, 7/23/2010. For whatever reason I called the rebate number again. They tell me that while they have corrected my "address" my zip code appears to be wrong. Again, this is RIGHT AFTER the Rebate CSR has just had me VERIFY my name and address over the phone. I get them to correct the zip code.
Just forward to today: 8/10/2010, I call them because on Friday I received a postcard claiming my address was STILL WRONG. I check online, it's been over two weeks, the information about a disallowed rebate has not been updated.
Again, this Rebate CSR has me VERIFY my name and address but claims they can't see my information, then what are they "verifying" against? When I ask they can't tell me apparently.
After a 10 minute back and forth where I am told on no less than one occasion that "it's computers, they do whatever they want." I wanted to tell him that computers ONLY do what they are told, nothing more, the joke I've heard over the years is if you tell a computer to screw up, it's going to ask you how.
He says, he's now corrected the information and that the system will show a valid rebate status and they will be mailing out my check to me within 2 weeks.
When I asked him about why I called the other times and was told the information had been corrected and it had not, I swear I could hear him shrugging (mentally). "Look man, these are computers, they do whatever they want."
*sigh"
Just checked my rebate status, something they claimed would take two weeks to update, took this guy 2 minutes.
I'd love to hear other stories about rebate hell. Perhaps the power of persistence.
OUCH....that really had to hurt...next time though you should probably go to Radioshack...at least they have instant rebate's in place of mail in.
~Jasecloud4
Why didn't you just go to radioshack or best buy or wirefly or anywhere else that gets rid of the mail in rebate and makes it instant?
Sent from my HTC Evo 4G using XDA app.
Because I didn't. Pure and simple, I didn't. Should I have had my head examined, yes, probably.
I was just wondering if anyone else had issues with the MIR?

I didn't have any problem with my Evo rebate, but did with my last phone's rebate. Everything looked fine until it got to the approved-mailing your check part of the process, then after a few days it was changed to invalid. Called them up, the guy said, "Hmm, that's weird, there's nothing wrong with it" and he put it back in. Website showed approved again for a week, then it went invalid again. Called them again, and another person said "That's weird, nothing wrong with it, let me talk to my supervisor". After holding for a while, they finally put it back in. A few weeks later, I got my check, and got the pleasant surprise of getting a $250 rebate instead of the $100 rebate I was supposed to get
whats the # you called for sprint rebate? is it just the regular customer service line?
i just checked and mines invalid lol.. and i never recieved anything for my other account.
Hopefully the world will start seeing more of this.
http://reasonablecitizen.wordpress.com/2010/03/29/mail-in-rebates-under-attack-in-wi/
I had a similar problem but they gave no reason as to why it was invalid. I sent them an email and they credited me the 100 on my next bill
I didn't have any issues with my rebate (had 2 of them actually). Just received my check last week.
my history with mail in rebates reflects the following rebate cash flow process
1. third party Rebate handler records 250,000 rebates sent in
2. Company (Sprint) reimburses rebate handler for 250,000 rebates plus 30% administrative/handling fees
3. Rebate company "invalidates due to incorrect rebate info" or "lost paperwork" or "computer glitch" 50-70% of rebates
4. Persistent rebaters (25%) call in/email/stalk/harass rebate company for rebate and finally receive rebate
5. Remaining users forget about rebate - rebate company celebrates profitable year with huge salary increases.
Me...I stay on their asses till I get my rebate - complete with calendar reminders and copies of ALL paper work till I receive my rebate.
Mule
just called, they only had 1 of 2 of my rebates on file.. looks like i gotta go back to the sprint store, fax them over everything they requested for the 2nd rebate.. 1st rebate they processed or re validated -_-
I checked my status because of this thread, I was declined, reported I got all discounts at time of purchase. I called, said it was B.S., rep said they will be mailing a $100 check now. I guess I better stay on top of this.
I just sent mine out a few days ago. I'll have to keep up on this. What is the website you guys are going to and checking the status of your rebate?

You'll get an email with a rebate tracking number and a link to the rebate status page.
I checked my rebate about a month ago and it came back as an invalid address. So I called them and gave them my correct address. The reason is that the Sprint store was trying to be helpful and fill out the card but the guy has worst penmanship than I do. So instead of a 0 it looked like a "b" to the processing center. Had to go to Sprint because I am on a friends and family plan.
So they gave me the tracking number. If I look up the original one, still shows as denied - correction processed now that I just checked, but the one with the tracking number that I got when I called Sprint shows in progress and ready to be mailed within 30 days.
The other day I got a post card stating that my address was incorrect, but beats the heck out of me if they can get my address from their files - and bill me each month that they couldn't use the same address to mail me my rebate. So 8 weeks so far and waiting. Would have been nice to have sooner, not that I need the money right now, but last month was a $425 phone bill including the additional EVO tax and phone on my account.
got my check last week, sent in mid-june.
Had no problems here....smooth like always. Sorry to hear about your problem

I purchase mine from sprint because no one had it in stock at the time. I kept stalking bb, rs, and the sprint website until someone had it in stock. I got the"invalid" postcard and when I contacted then they said it was because it had not been 30 days yet. I will be keeping my eye out. I use to work for sprint in the past and they got in trouble once for bogus denials of rebates. Also the rebates are processed by a third party company named Young America, they actually process the rebates for all companies.

Motorola screwed me from day one !

When the xoom had the $207. off coupon I bit and put it in my cart and when checking out I had the free gel case and free 2nd day shipping and when I pressed complete they changed my order and charged me the $29.99 and standard shipping with which it's just coming today after ordering on the 24th if I hadn't called them last week who knows when this order would have been shipped ! well I called them and I said I would like to cancel this order and the customer service guy said I can't that it already has been shipped which it wasn't and then an hour later I get a email saying my order was shipped which it wasn't then 3 days later it shows up being in UPS hands in texas being shipped ! If you think this is the way a company should do business then their is something wrong with you ! I felt like there forcing this on me, I called my bank and told them of this the night of the first email and it wasn't charged and then I called after the charge and then said let them ship it and then do as they say RMA it back ! I could never ever buy from motorola again after this experience, This is going back, I have to wait for it to arrive >they (motorola) Says and then call then for an RMA They could of made this a little less painful and just canceled the order when I called But no they want to force this on me ! Screw them
Paragraphs. Punctuation.
You should use them.
Wow you're really complaining about this? It's the same when you shop everywhere, when it's sent to the warehouse for fufillment they can't go back and cancel it, you have to return it.
But in your case, you stand to profit atleast $100 by putting it on ebay after getting that coupon deal and you're still complaining. You could also get your shipping refunded through amazon if you wanted.
I do not understand people sometimes.
Basically: SCREW MOTOROLA THEY GAVE ME AN $800 DEVICE FOR $600!!! HOW WILL I EVER RECOVER FROM THIS INJUSTICE.
Yeah, I honestly think the OP is pulling our chain. How can you be complaining that you were able to get the 25% off?
This is what 12 year old rambling looks like.
Post count, it's all about the post count. It's easier to increase it with complaints than productive posts.
There should be a temporary complaint forum to put these posts so we don't have to see them.
Just refuse delivery for a faster refund and stop posting here.
Sent from my EVO using XDA App
What this board needs is active mods.
If mods removed the posts:
1) talking about tablets other than the xoom
2) complaining (for some insane reason) about getting the 25% off coupon
3) complaining about known limitations at release
I think this forum would be a lot more pleasant.
wow dude i would be just as pissed if i got 200 bucks off for scamming the company.
i kinda feel the op's pain... I ordered a xoom with a 10% off coupon, then as soon as I read the 25% off one I ordered again using that coupon, and immediately called to cancel my first order. The lady said the ordering department was closed until next morning.
Called back the next morning and got the run around from like five motor cs reps one even hung up on me. When I finally got someone willing to help and not transfer me to the beggining option menu, they told me it was shipped and could not be canceled. I had to refuse shipment. Needless to say it didn't ship until the following tuesday.
So I refused the more expensive shipment and kept the 25% off one. Then I look and they charged me for the free gel case. I called moto, got the same run around as before until someone finally
was willing to help. Now I am still waiting on a refund for the gel case and the original order..
As long as it all works out i'm happy I got the discount, as there are many that paid $800 for this device, on the other hand... DOES IT HAVE TO BE THIS DIFFICULT!?
Of course you get charged for the free gel case! But did you realize that the price for the Xoom was much lower?!? In fact, I gained more than 25% off due to that! I don't know exactly what they did but here are my bill details:
Xoom: $571.09
Gel case: $ 21.40
Shipping: $ 0.40
Tax: $ 35.56
Total: $628.45
Now do the math: The Xoom PLUS the gel case add up to LESS than $599 which would have been the 25% off for the Xoom.
My total was $660... motor guy put a "high priority"ticket in for my refund. Still no money :'( but like I said as long as it works out, I camt really complain ;-)

You won't make any money on ebay. With 10% tax, the device was $660. Add in ebay and paypal fees and you'd be lucky to break even.

Never underestimate how stupid people are on Ebay. And remember most sellers don't charge sales tax, so you could buy a Xoom on ebay for over $800 and still get it cheaper than at the store.

LOL quote of the day.
I wouldn't make a new forum for this but since is here I'll give my experience....
I ordered around 5:45 est on the 24th, My order said it would be here between March 1st or 2nd. Watched forums and patiently waiting....After about a week I decided to call(On March 3rd). First call gave me a scripted response that it would ship today.
I waited till the next day and had no info, So I contacted live chat this time hoping they could fill me in. They escalated the issue and said I would get a call back.
About 45 minutes later I get a call back saying that the order couldn't interact with their system so that the order would be cancelled. So I accepted it and didn't put up much of a fight.
About 8 hrs later my order was still in my system so I decided to call back and see what was up. The CS agent tells me.....Your order is not cancelled and will ship today. So I was a bit happy to hear that yet still not convinced why I am told conflicting reports.
So Saturday morning I decide to call since I heard nothing. They said their order department is closed and expect a call within 24-48 hrs.
On Monday I get in touch with someone who puts me on hold for 5 minutes while trying to get into touch with their "Executive Order Department". He comes back and says he can't get in touch with them so he would call me back within 10 minutes when he knows something.
I get a callback from him about 20 minutes later.(I appreciate he actually did as he said). But his response was that they have no further information on my order and someone from the executive order department would call me back. I could of swore this is the same dept. he was trying to get in touch with originally to see my order.
So a cpl hours later they call me up and its the same lady.(One of the nicest ladies I have ever talked to) She continues to apologize and gives me the same info she told me Friday about my order forced to be cancelled.
This time I was a little more prepared because I was sorta expecting it since she told me that before. So I asked what I could do and she gave me a phone number to call and see if anything could be done.
I then called the number and started explaining my case.....the lady then responds that we had JUST talked a minute ago. I said that this was the number that you gave me to try and get this worked out. She then said Hmm......I guess the system is auto transferring you to me.
This is the 3rd time btw that a rep gave me a "proper" phone number to call and it ended up going someplace different.
She gave me another number to try and gave me her direct line in case I ran into any more problems.
I then tried the new number and it did indeed lead me to a salesperson. I explained that my order was cancelled and the runaround I got. She said I am sorry and you won't be charged. I said well "I want the Xoom".
She then puts me on hold and comes back and says she can place the order under the same price. She takes my CC and says ok it'll take 2 days or so to clear and we say our goodbyes.
Thats about where its left off. There is a charge of $600+ on my card now from the order but I have no receipt/email information regarding my order.
So atm my original order is still an open order with my CC and shipping sitting there but I have been assured they will not charge me for it. I also have a second one ordered that is supposed to clear within a day or day.
I would likely still buy a Moto product even though I consider this experience to be a nightmare. Anyway...Thats my little rant/experience with Moto.
Great deal but definitely a hassle!
And I don't know why people think it was "cheating" motorola. They offered a coupon. We used it! If you're in this forum I would expect that you know most online coupon codes have a limited number of activations. Once that limit is hit, the coupon is no longer valid. Just because we used a coupon doesn't mean a company has the right to treat their customers in this way.
I'm just going to come out and say it. You guys are acting like a bunch of vaginas. I got the deal, yeah I had to wait ,yeah I got the run around but the BS is in the past. *****ing about in a forum ain't going to do nothing for you. Suck it up and drive on.

This is going back, I have to wait for it to arrive >they (motorola) Says and then call then for an RMA They could of made this a little less painful and just canceled the order when I called But no they want to force this on me ! Screw them

I'll take it off your hands for 660! quick easy and you wont have to deal with moto!!!
Why is there constant flaming? This is the kind of thing that turns good forums into bad ones. The OP has the right to talk about his experience (especially in the General XOOM section) and maybe this might make it onto a blog site and be seen by a Motorola exec and force them to do something about it. I've ordered my XOOM last week with the 10% discount and just got a call saying it didn't go through their system so it will be cancelled. This thread was useful for me to see what my next step should be. Plus it's annoying to be charged $800 just to have the order cancelled. Thanks OP for this useful thread.

Thank you for your inquiry. Your rebate has been approved.

So friday I realized that this past weekend would have been a month since I got my Note 4, thus a month since I applied for the Samsung $200 rebate. I emailed Prize Logic:
Hello, I signed up for a $200 Samsung rebate on 10/23. I received a confirmation email saying I should hear back once approved and then it takes 6-8 weeks to get the check. I'm fine with the 6-8 weeks part, but it's already been 2 days shy of a month, and I've still yet to hear if I'm even approved. What is the hold up? My Confirmation Number: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Thank you for your time.
This morning I received an reply:
Dear Kevin,
Thank you for your inquiry. Your rebate has been approved.
Thank you,
PrizeLogic Support
Nice, you think perhaps they would email me when I was approved like they said they would. Then again, this is the same marketing company who royally screwed up a Note 3 promotion, so I had little faith to begin with. Anyway if you like me have not heard anything, try dropping them an email.
What email address did you email to? Did you submit your info online or mailed it in? I had to mail mine in as my pre-order receipt was like 5 pages long.

I used this online box: http://prizelogic.com/contact-us/
I submitted my information online on the 23rd and did receive email confirmation that they received it that day.
Actually, you are semi approved.
I got the email that the rebate was approved.
In small letters below that it added that it was subject to verification.
Dont you think they would do that before they approved the rebate?
What email do you contact them at? I wanted to ask about mine, but I couldnt find any contact info...
Did you buy through Verizon? How did you get things rolling so quickly? I think I'm going to miss out on the rebate as just last week I got notice that my old phone had been received by Verizon (mail in trade in,) and I should hear from them in 4-6 weeks. How would it be possible to get the Samsung rebate when I didn't get the phone from Verizon til Oct 23, thought there would be a trade-in envelope there, but there was just a link to follow to submit my trade-in, which it then took a week to get the mailer, and another week and a half to get a response that it was received and I'd get a price/receipt in 4-6 weeks..

I am on Verizon. I bought a brand new $30 "smart phone" at Best Buy already knowing that Verizon viewed it's trade in value as $10. I walked into Verizon on the 23rd. I handed them the phone and they gave me a $10 gift card which shows came from a trade in, and I then purchased the Note 4 at full price minus the $10. That afternoon I took a picture of the paperwork, magically got their website working, and submitted the form and paperwork.
Has anyone received their check yet from Samsung???? (or Prize Logic )?
I also received the reply but have yet yo receive the check. I will update when I do. I was just worried it didn't get accepted.
I'm waiting also
I received an email from them on December 8th that I was approved...I too am also waiting for my rebate check. If your approved why don't they just send out the check? It says 6-8 weeks it shouldn't take another 6-8 weeks to get the check once they approved it! GEESH
Well, it figures, they are now violating their own terms and conditions, it is beyond the 8 weeks they stated. If we go by when the submission went in, then we are closer to 3 months. They now are passing the blame to Samsung!
If you are one day late in your submission, too bad. But they get to take their sweet time!

Thank you for your inquiry. Your rebate has been approved. We apologize for the delay in shipment and are working closely with Samsung to fulfill rebates as soon as possible.

Nothing yet. I get pissed each day checking the mail.

More the reason I'm flag glad I could use Best Buy for instant rebate with no hassles.
It gets even better.
When I called prize logic, the phone goes straight to voicemail and part of the message includes a statement that if you are calling about the Samsung rebate then they will not return that call.
Apparently customer service is nothing that prize logic is concerned with.
They never responded to the facebook post or message I sent them.

Just as an FYI - You are not a customer of PrizeLogic, Samsung is their customer, and from what I have seen around its more likely Samsung has held back the rebates for a little extra intrest before releasing them, could be true, could be garbage, I am at 9 weeks today since I received my approval with a 6-8 week wait.
Their facebook page is public, and recently updated. https://www.facebook.com/PrizeLogic

I'm happy to announce that for all those Samsung customers who have been notified that their rebate was approved, Samsung rebate checks are being placed in the mail tomorrow. If you don't receive them by Friday 1/23, please let us know.
Then they are sending my check next day air? Im betting they were not telling me the truth when they said my check will be delivered Friday.
