Hi,
Version 1.6.0.0 is uploaded with relevant instructions in post #1
Tethering is a reality even in final Mango 7720!!
Regards, ansar

I have MS developer unlocked (leaked HTC offical mango) and am still getting 0x81030120 from the above download?
Gordon.

For me - my Acer don't want to install the drivers (x86 or x64). I can point it to the V64 folder, but it can't found anything inn there, although the three files are viewable! Looks like a Windows7 rule, which don't permit non-certified drivers.

Same with me.
I pointed to the driver folders and even tried the second folder as well but both doesnt work i am on windows 7 too.
Ansar any idea what can be causing the trouble?

...assume it also could be the different routine in Win7 - you can't point the system to a file, you only can point it to a folder!
I'm sure it's aware of the .inf file inside, but don't want to touch it!

Gordon.

finally got it working on my Win7 x64 with HD7. You have to change the both inf.files in the Mdm & Com folders as follows:
So I changed the lines in the modem.inf to:
Code:
[Models.NTamd64]
%HTC00% = Modem0, USB\Vid_05c6&Pid_319b&Rev_0000&MI_01
%HTC01% = Modem0, USB\Vid_05c6&Pid_319b&MI_01
and in the COM.inf search for:
Code:
[Models.NTamd64]
%OEMDevice00% = OEMPort00, USB\VID_0BB4&PID_0EFE
%OEMDevice01% = OEMPort00, USB\VID_0BB4&PID_0E01&MI_00
%OEMDevice02% = OEMPort00, USB\VID_0BB4&PID_0E02&MI_00
replace by:
Code:
[Models.NTamd64]
%HTCDevice00% = OEMPort00, USB\VID_05c6&PID_319b
%HTCDevice01% = OEMPort00, USB\VID_05c6&PID_319b&REV_0000&MI_00
%HTCDevice02% = OEMPort00, USB\VID_05c6&PID_319b&MI_00

Shift Button Drivers

Maybe I am just lost, but I tried finding the button drivers here and can't find them. I am talking about the two top right hand buttons. I just finished installing Win7 following your STEP by STEP instructions .. had a few problems at first but now everything is working except I can't use those two buttons ... when I click on them they do nothing.
I am looking on another post at the 'windows 7 install' step by step .. trying to figure out if I forgot something .. PRAYING I don't have to start all over.
TIA .. Diane

[Q] Win Vista & N7 Drivers

I have a very old vista Notebook, that just doesn't want to install N7 drivers.
It installs them & then reboots, but then it installs them again & reboots again. This whole thing doesn't stop
This happens for ADB & Fastboot mode. (Tried it with the N7 Toolkit & Asus drivers)
PC: Win Vista 32-Bit Notebook
N7: Wi-Fi 32GB
I've never used Windows Vista but did install this on Windows 7 and 8.1 successfully. A possible problem is that you need to disable the Driver Signature Enforcement to properly install it.
How would I do that?

I would not know as I have not used Windows Vista. For 8.1 it is by going to PC settings > Update & recovery > Recovery > Advanced startup > Restart > Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup settings > Disable driver signature enforcement > Restart > Install.

Root toolkit 1.8.1 , stuck at configuring "MTP drivers".

Hi, I am having problems with rooting, and any help will be greatly appreciated.
Problem: No ADB connection.
Here are the steops i am stuck in:
Step 2.2 and step 2.3.
2.) Plug your device in via USB.
- Wait a few minutes to see if your computer auto-configures MTP.
This was done by windows.
3.) Disable MTP mode:
- Settings > Storage > Menu item in upper right > 'USB computer connection' > Uncheck MTP.
- Wait a few minutes to see if your computer auto-configures MTP.
Nothing happened.
Going on with the installation(2.4-2.6) even with this not done, i found that i managed to see the nexus device , and that it installs a driver after turning USB debugging on.
However, continuing on with step 3, i can't install the Android ADB interface drivers.
Thanks for your time.
Lee
Step 2 is listed below for reference.
Step 2: Configuring your MTP drivers
- This step is to ensure you can access the files on your devices sdcard through windows explorer via USB.
1.) Disable USB debugging:
- Setttings > Developer Options > uncheck 'USB Debugging'.
2.) Plug your device in via USB.
- Wait a few minutes to see if your computer auto-configures MTP.
3.) Disable MTP mode:
- Settings > Storage > Menu item in upper right > 'USB computer connection' > Uncheck MTP.
- Wait a few minutes to see if your computer auto-configures MTP.
4.) Re-enable MTP mode:
- Settings > Storage > Menu item in upper right > 'USB computer connection' > Check MTP.
5.) Re-enable USB debugging:
- Setttings > Developer Options > Check 'USB Debugging'.
6.) Check to see if you can access your devices internal storage through explorer using the button below.
- 'Launch Explorer' > 'My Computer' > 'Devices' > Your Nexus device.
7.) Proceed to Step 3.

[Fixed] Windows Hello is preventing some options for being shown

It could be related to incompatible or out of date driver.
To fix up the issue, there are many things you can try:
1) Update Windows
Go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Updates > Check for Windows Updates
After getting updates, restart your computer.
2) Get help from Windows built-in troubleshooter
Go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Hardware and Devices > Run the troubleshooter. Hit Next and then follow the prompts to run it.
3) Remove Windows Hello, and then re-add it.
Go to Start > Settings > Accounts > Sign in Options
There you hit Remove, and then restart your PC.
You will then be asked to set up Windows Hello.
