[game] dune 2 (for devs/hackers)

Yes yes, good old retro Dune2. First and the best real-time strategy game.
Ok it's not yet available for PPC q.q (well 'it is' VIA dosbox emulation, BUT not playable)
BUT there is Dune2 clone (beta, but playable) available on the internet.
WITH SOURCE.
Its made in Visual Studio C++ 2007/2008. I got this source working on mine.
Good things about this version of Dune2 and reasons for porting:
Default resolution: 640x480 VGA (but changable in source var)
Does not require right mouse click, only left one. (Stylus !!!)
You only need 2 buttons + left mouse button to play this. (so this surely this would be fully playable on PPC)
You can try this by your self on PC:

well..i think i may stick to emulated sega dune2 version on qvga xscale device(hint hint)
..until someone will make it REAL...

btw it is really easy to make with a bit skills

trust me, it is ok... you know, it is better than without DPAD(little grin to htc users) ;p

any update on this i loved this game as a kid too played it for hours completed it wuth every house
keep clicking on the harvister and it clocked up spice quicker and use rocket tanks to strike buildings and there harvester from max range lol ah god shut up matt!

I was the same hours on hours of amusement, i'm a C&C generals player and it kills muchos time but if i could play Dune 2 on PPC i'd be stocked
So i'm gonna ask same? Any updates?

Allows you to run dos on PPC "emulates" but does not run very well

well I dont have either skills or time to compile it for PPC.
i'm sure you don't have to be a professional programmer to do that
cmon... 12 people downloaded instuctions how to complile it and none replied?

I have one that I love, called "Real Dice MC Poker" (Texas hold 'em). Microsoft was giving it away free to anyone who signed up for their new "Windows Phone Insider" website (the web compliment to the new Mobile Device Center).
I just checked, and it looks like it's still there. I've tried several poker games on WM, and this one is the one I like the best by far.

EDIT: Tried it a few more times, finally loaded the page with no prompt. Not sure what the issue was but it's all good now

Don't know if this is legal way to get it, but you can just google, the top ten TP2 games, and you know how can you get around getting if for free: list of games that you may enjoy playing on your tp2, as much as I do:
Spiderman,
DOM2,
Prince of persia,
Sonic

call on duty or something, I have them all saved on my sd card, so it doesn't use the phone memory, all of them nice, and smooth graphic.

That is awesome! I would pay $30 for this app. Yongzh has said he is working on it for android. He created many of the current emulators, and in my opinion, the best ones. I imagine that like the PSX4droid app he made, not all ROM's will work on it, but even if I could run just a few of my favorite classics. I am thinking GoldenEye, MarioKart 64, Starfox 64, and Zelda.
These emulators, plus an AOSP rom with bluetooth fixed, wiimote controller app. That would really pass time at work, on a plane, in a hotel, on vacation with the inlaws. I can't wait.

ZodTtd, the dev of psx4droid, is in the middle of making one.
A few days ago he posted on twitter saying that he is experiencing a bug where nothing shows up on the screen. I'd imagine once he solves this, a few tweaks will be made then he will probably hand it over to Yong Zhang for him to work his magic (control overlay,settings etc)
This is exactly what happened with psx4droid

Maybe would should start a bounty to help move this along.

I don't have any java experience, but I have reasonable experience in other programming languages. When I get the time, I may take a look at porting it. If the full source code is available, should be hugely difficult to port. It'll be the optimisation that'll be difficult.

[REQ]Porting NFS Most Wanted

Hi guys,what's up?
Since seeing what an amazing phone the DHD is and how powerful,I thought that maybe there would be a way of porting one of my all-time favorite games,NFS Most Wanted.The idea came to me after seeing a Quake port running on Desire and Galaxy S and thought,what the hell?Can something like this happen with Most Wanted?
First off,is it possible to do that?If yes,how?
Secondly,are there people who are interested and would like to participate?

entirely not possible, only reason you see quake doom ect.. is because alot of them go open source so we have access to the engine files to actually modify and port.
also quake doom ect dont rely on a DX only renderer which is all the nfs black box engine supports android requires openGL, personally id like to see the original halflife ported before anything like NFS

there is a paid PSX emulator on the market called PSX4droid
can run a little slow depending on the game tho however i managed to play FFVII on my HTC legend quite fine tho

I found two new games. They are called pacman and tetris. You should try them. . Just kidding mate. There are other emulators too but the latest android games are better than playstation one.

Had a look at the description of the author's SEGA emulator, looks like it's been stolen from Robert Broglia, hasn't even bothered to change the description.
Flagged on play store but dunno if it'll make a difference.
