Firmware upgrade stole my "starfield" wallpaper - Galaxy S II General

I have noticed that I dont have starfield live wallpaper any more after upgrade ,
Why's that?

I'm not sure, but is this the wallpaper you're looking for?

yep its what im talking about

That should be the full size one. Save it somewhere and choose "from gallery" when selecting a wallpaper. I save all my favorites in a file on my sd card.

I thought he was after the live wallpaper version.

That's weird, I have never seen a live version of that wallpaper, just the live spiraling galaxy.

hi, could you please upload full size image

That is full size for the SGSII.

I have the same problem, since ke2, most of the wall papers from the chooser vanished.
they're still in TwWallpaperChooser.apk though!

Does anyone remember a live version of that wallpaper existing?

Weather widget

Removed the weather widget from my home screen.
When I put it back it is only 2 wide, not 4.
Any ideas why or how to fix?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium App
Place the widget and then press, and hold until trash can appears, let go and it will give you the option to resize
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium App
I think you can resize it by long pressing the widget, releasing and then you should see a little resize indicator in the bottom right corner of the widget. Drag that to resize how you want.
EDIT: Beaten to the punch!
Brilliant. A nice little feature.

This seems like a good place to ask a quick question then, can you resize all or most widgets? Or just a few like the weather widget mentioned above?

How do you upload pictures by the way. Can't see how thx
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
When you post in the app click more, select the image you want to upload from gallery out other options. I found that if i tried to keep original image it wouldnt work but the small size option works fine. Next click inline and your pic should appear like this one.

Sorry for the double post, but looks like the board doesn't except .png images which the note saves in. The small version is converted to .jpg

I get the same error and it will only let me post smaller size images. Do we know why this is?

Location of ICS background image

My i9000 has a slight issue in displaying greys. The settings menu and any other app that uses it look awful on my phone.
All I want to know is the location the background is stored so I can change it to an all black background. I've asked this question in many different threads and no one had answered me yet. So many thanks to whoever tells me.

What else does a black theme change other than the settings menu background?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA
Lots of stuff, messaging, phone, market,g mail, YouTube, menus, status bar, depends on the theme, but good for battery, and generally stylish
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
If you are on a Samsung ROM it's different case though, roms come with their own fixed themes if I remember, been a long time! That's the advantage of aosp/cm7/9 you have the theme chooser engine to play with

Google black wallpaper, find one bigger than your screen size and save it to your desktop or straight to your phone.
Then change the wallpaper to the new image using gallery or quickpic or whatever app you use to view photos.

I'm using Elite 1.4.1 that does have a black version. I think I'll try it out.

In framework-res.apk it's apparently in /res/values/styles.xml and color.xml
The only problem is I don't have a /values folder... Where else could styles.xml and color.xml be stored?
I'm using Elite 1.4.1 if it makes any difference.

You'll get values folders only by going into a decompiling process.

Assuming you are using ICS, its located in framework-res.apk (\res\drawable-nodpi\background_holo_dark)

Gif supported gallery app

Was on stock went to aokp and just realised that gif support is broken, so my question is: is it possible to port over the stock gallery app (which I doubt) or is there a replacement app out there which supports it. I have already tried fun gallery and ics gallery from the app store, no luck on either of them.
