Clearance delay - Galaxy S II General

This morning, I see this on my fedex tacking info Clearance delay. It made me a little nervous so I called fedex, askd the lady what this is about, she tells me. So i have to give a description of my Samsung galaxy box so they can identify it, and get its on its way. Good thing I found this early to minimize any more delay I hope?. Anyways Whats everyones experience with a "Clearance delay"If you have ever run into it . Did it slow everything down, delay your shipping. or not have much effect.

I also have a clearance delay in Memphis...what information did you provide for the box description? Has your tracking information changed yet?
EDIT: Just called fedex and they said the package is en route to my zip code and will be here at the scheduled time...so I guess its just not updating the tracking information online.

Same here. Clearance delay because handtec didn't include customs form on the box.
I called fedex and they said they now have the info they need but the phone wwill only be here tomorrow instead of today. LAME.

I also have a clearance delay but I call fedex and the automated system said that it was on it's way to the shipping facility that delivers to my zip code. My online tracking still says clearance delay though.
How accurate is Fedex's phone automatic system?
Did you talk to a representative or the automated system?

Just talked to a rep. They said it was delayed in customs so I gave them some information and they said they would call back to let me know the package is on its way...So in response to your question, the automated system is not accurate.

OK. I had to fill out some forums that Fed ex emailed to me, then scan them and send them back! What a pain. Now i will be getting the package tomorrow rather then today. Booooooooooooooooooo anyways If you have a sg2 come check your tracking often so you dont have to wate any longer then u have allready

Funny when i called FedEx they said they received the forms needed from the SHIPPER (handtec) and dint ask me to fill out any form.
They said they hope it will get released today for tomorrow's shipping.
I can't believe handtec does not know they need to fill out customs forms when shipping internationally.

I use to work for fedex express. Putting a description on the outside would be a bad idea. People would help themselves to a five finger discount.

I submitted the forms, but the tracking page status still shows "clearance delay". Did anyone have their status updated?
I'm hoping I can at least get the phone tomorrow... With all this hassle it almost makes me regret buying this phone from abroad (especially since it looks like the official US version may be shipping this month or next).

Mine is the same way. I verified all paperwork this morning around 10AM CST. I suspect they will all get approved in a batch. Not to worry, we'll be playing with our shiny new toys tomorrow!
Edit: I just got the following reply from the Customs Agent with FedEx when I asked why the status hadn't changed at all.
The package status will not change until early tomorrow morning. You can check the website in the morning to see if it is out for delivery.

My status just got updated to Int'l shipment release. Finally some good news today!

Mine has also changed from clearance delay to Int'l shipment release. I hope they will ship it out tonight.
I called a rep about this and she told me that fedex has overnight delivery on this shipment so *cross fingers*

i may have helped you all.. my agent stated they didnt have the fcc release forms from handtec so i found the fcc id picture. and the online fcc form filed them out this morning and emailed scans in to fedex to the specific release agent.. called later and they said they now had all the paperwork they need.

It's saying there is a Clearance delay on mine too, and I got an email saying a Telecom form is required. I called fexed and asked if I needed to fill out a form, and they said the sender did..
Now I'll probably have to wait a week. DAMNIT.

What number did you guys call? Or how did you contact a specific agent?
I'd rather fill out the form itself than wait for Handtec. Where can I get the form?

UPS Tracking Number Issued!!!

I just plugged my phone number into the UPS tracking site reference number field (for the millionth time in 24 hours, I'm embarrassed to say) and got a tracking number. As of 10/14, 'billing info received' which means it goes out today, 10/15. If I'm very, very lucky -- I'll have my toy on Friday! I tried to change it from 'ground' to something quicker with UPS on the phone, they said it wasn't possible I was told T-Mobile could do an 'intercept' to correct shipping addresses, but shipping methods can't be changed once a package is in the system...
If I have to wait the weekend, seeing 'arrived at destination' at the UPS site, I'll die

I pre-ordered the day pre-ordering started. I was told that we'd be getting our G1's 'a little before' the 22nd, but didn't believe it. And really, it is just a little before. UPS Ground isn't exactly speedy.
'Billing Info Received' just means the shipping label was created, and the shipment entered electronically. It's been my experience that actual shipping occurs the day after the status of 'Billing Info Received', which is dated 10/14. In fact, I order a lot of stuff and I don't recall it ever taking longer than that -- hopefully, this won't be the exception
I've read 'rumors' that pre-orders are shipping on 10/15, the appearance of my tracking number makes me thing these rumors are true.

me too... I ordered mine on September 24th... I figured it would ship today... with 1.5M orders it might take a while... I WANT MY G1 NOW!!!!
I got the same message for the 2 phones I ordered, I think it will be a few days before they ship.
Mine (black) is shipped and I expect to receive it on this Friday or upcoming Monday.
I tried and nothing!!! DAMMIT MAN!!!
I was told the day after I ordered, by a T-Mo rep, that I could start checking UPS on the 15th and that my tracking info should be in there.
I have to have mine re-routed to my office to make sure I get it and don't have to go pick it up at the sorting center. Hopefully it's on the website today or tomorrow. Glad that the shipping reference method is actually working.
Someone on some other android forum told me that they're all shipping out on the 20th and that they're all coming 2-day express. Sha! Right! Like they're going to pony up the extra cash to ship millions of phones express on the same day without charging us extra! It makes way more sense to ship them ground starting 7 days earlier than the 22nd.

Ahhh.
I'm in Chicago, so it may be awhile before I show up in the system if that's how its' going. Course I'll still be checking every couple hours like a geek anyway.

Would you tell them to give you Diane in Orlando's phone also, I will meet you in Atlanta to pick it up !! Nothing has changed on the UPS website for my tracking either .. Not even an invoice. It's as if they are saying "who are you and what do you want ?"

I do a lot of shipping and UPS doesn't update their website as soon as the label has been printed. I would guess that those that have shipped will see something on the website tonight or sooner.
i went to the ups site and entered my number but it says " >>> UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request. Verify your information and try again. " i dont know if im am entering my number in the right format

ASDA Pre-order

Hey guys has anyone had any details about ASDA dispatching the xperia z preorders?
I'm pretty sure that when i selected the free delivery option, that it mentioned something about it being a guaranteed delivery date of 28th Feb. Does anyone else remember anything similar?
I ordered on the 14th of Feb.
Mine is sitting on 'Back Order' haven't heard anything from ASDA.
Mine says this on the tracking system:
Awaiting Stock - We're waiting for stock of all these items to become available. As soon as these items leave our warehouse and are their way to you we'll send you an email to let you know.
But even if they get stock tomorrow i doubt they can get it to me the same day
It's wishful thinking, but hopefully they're just crap at keeping the website updated. Mine reads the same as others.
Going to be mighty annoyed if I don't get it tomorrow. I never go to Asda for anything - supermarket or online - they're not doing a great job of turning me around...

I spoke to them about 6pm and was told "your order isn't showing as back ordered on my screen. You see the phone isn't released untill tomorrow, so it can't be dispatched before then. If it doesn't say dispatched by this time tomorrow, call us back"
This was after I'd already explained the guaranteed 28th Delivery. Not holding my breath for getting it on release day. Even though the accessory pack was a big bonus, I picked Asda because no other site had commited to a delivery date at that point. Seems like another examine of Asda over promising and under delivering.

I saw some sites got their deliveries late and had to dispatch on the 28th, i wonder if maybe this was the same for asda.
Mine still says on backorder. Just went through the process of ordering again to see if there were any delivery options this time and there were options to leave with neighbours etc. This wasn't an option when pre ordered. I am not sure if it means anything though.
I have seen on game forums that asda have form for this sort of thing too. Gonna see if I can find more info.

Where does it say that Sony are offering free headphones?
Update: just got off the phone with asda, while my order still says on back order, they're are saying that they have the phone in stock (as reflected on the site) and awaiting dispatch. Though I'm not certain I completely trust that!
The asda website looks like they've done a hasty removal job of anything to do with the preorder, so much that they still have photos of the preorder accessories, with absolutely no mention of coming with any.
I wouldn't imagine anyone would have felt the need to take proof of them promising delivery today, but it was plastered all over the site. It was even in the hidden T&Cs regarding the accessory pack saying you wouldn't actually get the dock and case today, something along the lines of "on 28th February you will receive the Bluetooth speaker, and a voucher for the case and dock redeemable from Sony stores"
The phone is being advertised as "in stock" for new orders, so I've got my fingers crossed that they are just being really poor at updating people's accounts.

I just remember it being mentioned when in the checkout process, i have searched online and others have mentioned the guaranteed delivery date for game pre-orders form asda direct in the past.

I've decided to cancel my preorder with asda and get them directly from sony with the free headphones (which more then makes up for the extra £29). Though I'll probably sell the headphones.
Though even the order cancellation is a hassle, apparently it has to be passed to a "technical team" and will take 24 to 48 hours for an email to come through stating the order has been cancelled.... I don't think I'll ever use asda again!
Can't believe the way ASDA have handled this pre-order. Even their website shows 'in stock', but my order still says 'back order'!! Im on hold to speak to a manager!

Vodafone preorders

As theres a thread for every other retailer, i wondered if anyone else had preordered with vodafone? For me online tracking said not dispatched yet, called them about 3pm and their status said pending dispatch, the guy seemed optimistic that it would be dispatched before the end of the day however i have not had any notification. Any other experiences?

Spoke to a guy over the online chat, and he said it was down on my account as due for delivery on the 28th, but nothing has come up yet on my tracking, so I'm assuming at best, it will be dispatched tomorrow. My order should be delivered to a local store as I'm away from home at the moment, so hopefully it gets there by Friday..
Did you happen to get a separate notification that you'll be receiving the headphones as well?

18th as well. When I ordered I actually went though the process with an advisor, as I specifically asked if they still had headphones available when I ordered, to which I was told yes. But nothing came up in my tracking, so was just wondering if it had on anyone else's.
I ordered on the 18th or 19th, got a confirmation over the phone that I would definitely be getting the headphones and that I would receive everything on Thursday 28 February 2013. I received a confirmation email on the 19th and within it I was informed that DPD would be in touch with tracking info etc.
I called VF this AM and they have advised that they haven't received stocks as yet. Their website still showed pre-order until about 9am. Somewhat annoying!!!
I pre-ordered the phone yesterday (27th) and received an update today morning saying that the phone is currently out of stock.
I pre-ordered mine on the 14th Feb for store delivery. Not heard anything yet, I've a feeling that I won't be receiving it this week.
Some news from Vodafone...the handsets are in and my order was just received by the warehouse at 16.30 and is in process and my headphones are there too...
With a bit of luck I will get a text message in the morning informing me that the phone will be delivered tomorrow, worst case is I will receive the phone on Monday...

Online on the 18th, obviously that doesnt mean much, someone else has pointed out that the colour could be causing the delay, mines black so i would assume they would be better stocked with that?

My order seems to have been processed as an online order as the guy in the store went on the website and ordered it whilst I stood there. I've also got an order number starting WEB-000000etc. I went for black as well so hopefully it won't be too far away, still waiting on the DPD email though...

Anybody get a shipping notification for their white N4 that are supposed to be shipping "by 10/31"?
Yes. Mine was to ship by 10/31 but the order status now says it has been shipped and I have a tracking number. I ordered a Note 4 White on Oct 18th. This change in status happened in the last few hours.

Search: Did you preorder through Verizon? Here's a way to get extra/internal information about your preorder (I am a noob and can't post links yet)
It was all jibberish until I got to the first comment, beginning with "Pro tip," which provided the URL to use instead.
Replace YOUR_PRE_ORDER_CONF_NUMBER with your preorder number (found in the email confirmation they sent you). As far as I know, it only works with the preorder number (more digits, provided for online orders), not the order number. I placed my order over the phone via the retention department and it appears their method still generates an online preorder number. I can not attest to what order number type is provided for orders placed in store.
Then, replace YOUR_LAST_NAME with, well, your last name, as it appears on the order. Once the page loads, you'll get some valuable data that you may or may not be able to interpret. Order status, tracking information
According to the provided information, my order is in processing but no shipping label created yet. I have been scouring the web for more information to confirm whether or not Verizon uses overnight or two day shipping, with Saturday delivery selected. From what I have found:
* there seems to be conflicting data on the ship method, though Verizon confirmed in forum replies that it is indeed overnight
* most of the recipients designated for the 10/23 expected ship date (earlier pre-orders), received their phones on 10/23...this gives validity to iconicExpShipDate = expected DELIVERY date, as you will see in the key on the reddit post.
* the same designees that received their phone a few days late seemed to either have incorrect shipping addresses, unsuccessful delivery attempts or were otherwise subjected to force majeure
* there appear to 10/23 designees whose date was pushed to 10/31, most originated from Best Buy and Amazon, and at least one Verizon customer who used the aforementioned link and generated an error code indicating a problem with the payment
* if your card has been charged, you can expect a shipping notification within 24 to 48 hours
* there are still people out there who pre-ordered on opening day and still have not received their phone!
In summation, I am expecting to receive my order on Friday, 10/31. If the link comes back clean under item details as of Thursday night, I will be devastated. I am really hoping I have the N4 in hand to distract [me] from the fact that I am an almost-thirty yo... female... waiting in line at midnight on Sunday, for a video game.
I'm glad i ordered the white quick i was lucky and got it in the 23rd. I figured the black ones would have had more people waiting for stock.

When I check my order status I see the order number, not the preorder number, a row for the tracking number but the field is blank. This happened yesterday afternoon; it had previously said in process and gave me an estimated ship date. Now there is no date.
I checked the Iconic status I previously posted about. The status changed from 'C (we have received your order and is in process),' to 'S(per the key, we have sent you order for processing).' The expected ship date has been deleted, and a shipping message was added, "your order will ship on 10/31."
I called Verizon again this morning. I was told that my order had been shipped, but there was no tracking information yet. The rep said that the order was placed for two day shipping. I confirmed with Verizon on three separate phone calls that it would be for overnight shipping... each time the rep originally said two-day, I said it was incorrect, and after a brief hold was told it was indeed overnight.
I have read of too many people on various sites having their orders mysteriously cancel, I am concerned about having no order information (with an order date change to boot). I am certain the tracking number would be in their system when the label is created, so I find it hard to believe that my order has been shipped. I did read of one gent on reddit who suffered a similar experience. He called Verizon to inquire and within minutes the FedEx driver arrived at his door.
I could sure use a morale boost. If you are reading this, I'd love to hear that you received tracking information or better, your devices! For the BBY customers, my heart goes out to you. I hope you got the $200 gift card at least.

Just received a notification from VZW with tracking number and my White Note 4 will be here tomorrow 10/31 just like they promised.
I did mine in store on Sunday. My ship date was 10/31. I got a tracking number today that it's being sent 2 day and will be here Monday. Meh.

Sorry, Ditto, [FedEx] just picked [my phone] up [from Verizon] 20 minutes ago apparently [according to the tracking information, two day shipping with Monday delivery]. Tears [of sadness].
I preordered at the store on 10/23 and I got my tracking number yesterday showing it will be delivered tomorrow
Pre-ordered mine on VZW's site and got it today via FedEx. Came way before it was anticipated to reach my door.
Everyone who pre-ordered it should be getting some kind of notification soon via e-mail.

Did FedEx tracking say 10/31?

DIRECT ORDER FROM HUAWEI issues or nah?

How is your experience with HUAWEI? similar to mine , any issues?
Here is mine ..
ok..so I ordered my phone through huawei(10/5/2015). I used the financing company through their website called Affirm.
I received all the confirmation emails from both huawei and affirm about my order and registration with Huawei.
here is where the "Fun" comes in:
I tried to login to the Huawei website this morning 10/6 to see if the status was updated(I have no patience)
and ...My account does not exist!!! so after chatting with a representative online they cannot find any of my information, no account registered, nothing!! However I can log onto the Affirm account and see when my payments are due!!! I have emails and phone calls back and forth from them they still have not resolved. Really sucks!
as of 10/8 I have received what looks to be a generic email saying that states I will get my phone??
I know i posted this in waiting for shipping but wanted to see direct order huawei only ..sorry

My experience while a little different, is still very similar to yours. I ordered on 9/30 and subsequently received a confirmation email with receipt. The next day, Huawei did debit my credit card.
But, when I login to my Huawei account, it shows nothing in "my orders". I emailed their customer service about this on 10/4 and received an automatic response with a ticket number, but have heard nothing back.
I'd have to say that this really isn't a big deal. We'll see how they do when it's time to start shipping product.
But I would have to say that their customer support is less than stellar, so far.
@cam30era they have emailed me to basically tell me the same thing that the generic email says.
I am going to just wait it out and see if i get it. However they did say that shipments are delayed but could not tell me when.

I don't see the benefit of ordering direct from them unless you don't want the play store money, don't want the insurance, possible tax free, and want a less reliable information service as far as shipping.
The only benefit to me would be tax free, but I wanted the insurance and easier RMA process.

Yup, you identified all the reasons. 7% better in my pocket.
I ordered using affirm also. So far for me though all has been smooth. I'm able to log into the huawei website and see my order just fine

I am very careful with my phones(*knocks on wood) .. and cant shell out $600 at the moment. so i chose to do the financing. as far as shipping and reliability of huawei .. it is questionable at the moment.. hopefully they make good on it.
I ordered from them on the 5th as well and all has been good so far. I ordered from affirm as well and everything seems to be good. Order shows as processing in my orders and the affirm charge went through..now I wait...

I just got off a "chat" with Huawei. They basically reconfirmed the same information. The first orders will ship in early November.
I ordered the day after release and on the site it said shipping late october and then was switched to early november a few days later. I also spoke with a chat representative and asked how the google store orders and direct orders shipping times would differ and was told that they will actually both ship at the same time as the schedules would be the same but asked if they came from the same stock and was told that there would be seperate stocks? Not sure how it will all work out but I am really hoping that the chat representatives were just told early november but will actually ship earlier.
I'd say it is very likely the chat rep doesn't know a damn thing about shipping schedules or if Google pulls from the same stock or not. I wouldn't be surprised if these things don't ship until november or if they ship a week or two early. I doubt any first line CS Rep has a damn clue other than possibly some generic date and would be the very last person to get an updated date or information.
i guess we will compare with others once people start getting tracking #'s or receiving their devices! If any of you get updates please post!:highfive:

I also ordered through Huawei, but I did not use Affirm. I'm able to sign in and see my order no problem.
I orderd through them to save the near $50 on Massachusetts tax, I orderd the Thursday and the money was taken out yesterday. So far so good for me no issues as of today.
now that Google is out of stock of 64gb 6p , i am trying to order from gethuawei.. but i have a issue, when i press the order button. does not complete my order.. message pops up to call huawei.. i call the # customer support says the website has problems to try and order again later..
has anyone place a successful order today??
