[Q][HELP!!!]The process EVERYTHING has stopped unexpectedly. - GT540 Optimus General

Hey,
Yesterday I upgraded my gf's GT540 to 2.1 (v20B) (fooled around a bit with the no-logos-showing-at-boot error but got rid of that bug eventually by KDZ software upgrade) and later I tried fixing the "can't establish a reliable data connection to the server" bug by deleting the file located at /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db. After a reboot, I got stuck in an infinite boot loop of the Android logo. No matter what update I reflashed, I was stuck with the infinite Android logo. I kind of fixed that problem by adb-ing inside the phone while the loop was going on and I tried to recursively delete everything in /data/data/.
Now, no matter what update I KDZ, every boot gives me constant "The process _________ has stopped unexpectedly...". I think the files are missing but I don't quite understand why, the updates should totally wipe everything from the device and then create a new file system bla bla bla... It's like no matter how I apply any update, or do a bunch of hard resets, it doesn't do anything to the phone.
BTW I haven't tried fastboot stuff (simply because holding the camera + power doesn't take me to fastboot for unknown reasons), and I don't know about the windows enabler or where to find it.
I spent like 10 hours trying to unbrick this phone and searched everything everywhere now and I am getting really annoyed and confused with what's going on so please somebody throw me some tips before I nail this device on the wall...
Damn, everything is so much easier with HTC devices...
Thanks for every chunk of info,
Jay

You can try to do a hard-reset - http://www.hard-reset.com/lg-optimus-gt540-hard-reset.html
PS. To turn on fastboot mode you should press Power (and hold it until the phone vibrates) and then press and hold Home button. Fastboot mode is just a black screen (there won't be any text displayed).

I did at least 10 hard resets.
Holding the home button doesn't give me fastboot mode, it boots Android into safe mode...
PS: Somehow I have lost the ability to use ADB, which is quite annoying.

I forgot to mention - fastboot mode works only if you've ROM with fastboot - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=828003

Thank you I have managed to get to the blue FASTBOOT screen! Now I have a device named Android in the Device Manager, but I do not have drivers for it so fastboot console application is still stuck at < waiting for device >...

The drivers for fastboot installed for me just fine using windows update. You can also try drivers from this link: http://www.speedyshare.com/files/24707580/android_usb_windows.zip or http://pdanet.co/bin/PdaNetA245.exe

[Q] Problem re-flashing Swiftdroid

It seems that I'm in a pickle here.
I already had swiftdroid installed but then I wanted to re-install it. So I tried but after flashing euro+fast.kdz , I got stuck in boot-loop. I tried doing the steps but I think I might be doing something wrong. Well, to get into fastboot to test if it went through would be holding the "camera" button or is it "home+camera" button during reboot? Thanks. Been at this all day.
Oh, and it appears every time I try to power on and hold the camera button first, it just goes to a black screen. So, by that have I already installed the rom properly even if it gets stuck on the android logo?
and an update as to what's happening:
going into download mode detects my phone on "device and printers" but as soon as I click on "Launch software update" I lose all the icons and KDZ returns a message saying "Phone was not found" I just noticed this now. What should I do?
I already uninstalled all drivers installed on my pc and re-installed them. After doing so, my phone detected a whole bunch of LG devices. Now on Android logo -- That after doing the Euro+fast and now am trying to do the out.kdz. By the way, even if my phone restarted during the "Launch software update" I waited for it to say finish right before I took out the battery and the usb cable.
After param 207 my phone went into boot stage and my pc re-detected the LG stuff. Now my phone is on the LG logo and it's been like it for a minute+.
I am following several steps on doing this procedure.
--Now question is again.. After this step should I be able to launch fastboot via "holding the camera" button? Do I need to do this while the phone is plugged in to the computer?
......
already tried euro then the out then euro using phone cs_emergency. Currently on Android bootloop. So I think I'm kinda back to step 1. Because initially, when I had swiftdroid, I just did euro using phone diag then afterwards, it went to bootloop. Now when I tried to restart my phone then I press and hold of the camera button, phone goes into a black screen. But looking at the "devices and printers" page, it shows "unspecified--android" on the bottom. What should I do then?
So right now, I'm currently on Android logo bootloop and if I reboot then hold the camera button, it goes to a blank black screen. What should I do next? Thanks
Update:
so yeah, after dwelling on the black screen, I tried to open up Mur4ik's old thread looking for the files I downloaded last year. Tried the command prompt and typed this in
fastboot -w
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot reboot
After doing so, phone rebooted okay. Right now, phone status seems fine. Some adventure I had. Will try to work on how to upgrade the version on this unit.
Nice work dude I too did all that stuff, its really adventures
Now I came over it and now I'm trying all roms
PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT

Not sure what mode I entered, Held vlm down + power. Says Fastboot Mode in red with a big green Start at the top. Options it gives me is Start, restart bootloader, recovery mode, and power off. If I try to enter Recovery mode it says no command. Don't see anything that allows me to reinstall

Ok, found out on the no command screen I can hold power and hit vlm up and it brings me to system recovery with these options. Reboot system, apply update from ADB, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition.
Not sure what to do sadly
Try following step:
1. Press Vol up and down and powerbutton same time to get to the fastboot mode as you mention.
2. Choice Recovery Mode and press power button. If you got luck you will see an android guy with red mark on the screen.
3. Press Vol Up and Power button same time for while don't let go it will pop up a list of option clean the cache and do factory reset, then reboot system.
If this method not working. Then hard method is flash your Nexus 4 with fastboot. Search the forum there few people already post how to flash 4.3 ROM with fastboot

Well, first try, couldn't get my PC to recognize fastboot in adb. Was getting frustrated beyond hell and had to walk away for a bit. Came back about an hour later and for some reason it finally recognized it... Back to the start screen like when I first bought the phone. So far working ok, except for being able to log into my google account... 2-step verification giving me issues now lol. Thank you again for your assistance. Very much appreciated!!:good::good:

I had a similar experience (kind of). I had issues side-loading 4.2.2 -> 4.3 on my N4. After it finished update and rebooted I got a black screen and nothing more. I ran through it and tried to update to 4.3 again, and then it worked.
Even though it worked I've been noticing issues with it. For example, I now can no longer uninstall anything. When I attempt to uninstall any app, the phone reboots. I'm backing up now with Titanium and am about to flash. I was hoping there would be a quick fix here, but such is life. Viva la impatience.
I have same problem my stock 4.2.2 stuck x boot load , did vol up+dwn +power now stuck in "Download Mode" do not unplug the device until the process is complete .

This is what I eventually followed to get mine working. I just did scenario 2 and that worked perfectly for me, so far no issues, just having to get things back to where I had them before. The second link is actually more detailed. Just make sure you follow step by step. I guess i could have not done step D10 but wanted to make sure this route worked for me. Thank you again for those who pointed me in the right direction

I have the exact same problem but not sure how to get my PC to recognize fastboot in adb mode...
FYI if you flash to stock android 4.3 and you have the 16 GB Nexus 4, make sure that after you re-flash you have the full 16 GB and not 8 GB (unless you want to re-setup your phone twice like me). If you get this problem you can wipe cache and data from recovery and voila, all of your free space is back.

If this is what I think it is, I was having the same problem. If I went into Control Panel on my PC and it would say that the driver is failing to load. To fix this I uninstalled the driver, rebooted, reinstalled Google USB Driver from the Android SDK Manager, restarted, and all was well after that.
I really have no explanation for why this fixed it, or it didn't work before, because other than fastboot, everything was working flawlessly with getting my phone to communicate with my PC.

I was in the same situation tonight. I have the AT&T variant. I found the answer on droidforum(dot)net by member HARVESTERX:
"OK, so you're booting into fastboot and trying to ADB from there? Have you tied booting into recovery (since you said that you were able to successfully flash one)? I'm on the Verizon G2 so not too familiar if it's the same on your model, but to get into recovery I power on the phone by pressing and bring the power and volume - buttons at the same time. After seeing the LG logo I have to release both buttons and press and hold power and volume - once more which takes me into the factory reset mode. From here press the power button a few times as if I'm doing a factory reset and it loads up TWRP from there.
This has saved my ass once already because I wiped my internal storage mount by accident and deleted all my backups and ROMs, so I used a Windows XP computer (can't get any other version of Windows to recognize my device...well I know how but it involves more time than I have at the computer as it's not mine) and pushed a ROM over using ADB that way. It's been a few days so hopefully you've fixed the issue... "
This method put me into TWRP and I was able to RESTORE my phone to the backup I had done earlier this evening.
I hope this helps!

Sooo, I have the same problem , here's my story. Please help I've resorted to using a SGH-T599N... Its embarrassing... I'd almost rather have an iPhone...
So Little ol' me was messing around/ deleted google play services/ reboot to twrp to recover but device ended up bricked. At the time, still able to access fastboot. I flashed recovery and firmware. I then tried dload roll back method and when it cleared the phone bootloader locked. So I unlocked bootloader again but when device re-booted the following screen came up and still remains:
" ' Your device has been unlocked and cant be trusted. ' -- ' Your device is booting now... ' " (No options are available.)
I eventually tried to restart to fastboot or erecovery BUT Everytime I try to power down the device, it tries to power up again but needs to charge for a minute before trying to boot itself back up. .(even after being on the charger for hours this happens). The problem with that is I can't get into fastboot or force dload because it automatically starts itself/ has to be plugged in until it turns back on. (Yes i've tried button mashing/ button holding/ etc. did not help)
How do I get the phone to charge, without it booting up? I have a feeling that if I can get it to start (without it first having to charge) I can get it to fastboot/ or erecovery. I have already tried to let the battery COMPLETELY drain.
Outside of that, I know the whole roll back and dload stuff. Currently it flashes the honor logo screen and then sits at "Your device is booting now..."
Bootloader is unlocked
OH! I should clarify, it boots on its own. I've tried disconnecting the battery, having it on the charger without the
battery. With the battery, Starting phone up by re-connecting the battery. No positive results
I'm about to start messing around with firmware flashing utilities, I just don't know of any. I wish there was a way to flash without being in fastboot mode. (I know very little of perl/python/linux, but I am a quick learner if you point me in the right direction.
Thank you in advance

Ticwatch c2 stuck in boot loop after factory reset.

Hey all, I recently flashed a new rom on my phone, which required me to factory reset my ticwatch I'm order to reconnect.
Upon doing to the first time, everything seems to have gone well, but had trouble connecting to the device. So I ran another factory reset. Since that one, I've been stuck in a boot loop.
I see the "device software can't be checked for corruption" screen for about 20 seconds, and then it vibrates, screen turns off, then I see the same screen again. And so on.
I tried letting the battery go to nothing and trying again, seems to be the same issue. I'm letting it charge and bootloop for now in case maybe I just don't have enough juice to make it through boot.
It is rooted, with custom ROM (followed a guide on this forum somewhere about half a year ago, was running great) and TWRP installed (at least it was, I've been unable to get to the recovery screen since the boot loop started). Cannot see it in adb ever in this process.
Anyone have any other suggestions? I remember the Samsung notes had a special USB tool that would bridge a couple pins to immediately go to recovery, is there a similar option here?
Can you get in usb mode,or fastboot or recovery maybe? There is solution..dont worry.I ghuess adb dont work, but you cant go to fastboot mode and boot twrp image and get in twrp recovery..in twrp recovery you need backup file..If you cant do that,we are going to another solution..
Yeah, I can't - via any combination of button holding - get into any booted mode. No recovery, no fastboot, nothing. If anything, some buttons seem to make it circle boot faster .

No go on either command. Nothing shows up.
I'm half wondering if it's my battery at this point. I think I'm getting a new watch for Christmas anyway, so not a huge loss. But happy to keep trying if anyone else has any ideas.
