[Q] How to download games for e900 Optimus LG - Optimus 7 General

Hi Friends
I hve brought Optimus e900 from Sinapore and using the mobile at India, in zune there is no login??!! but i found games in US site!!! is it possible to download games with a US ID??? pls help me...thanQ

You will have to create a US Live Account or Zune Account (same thing), and use THAT account as your Phone's Live Account. This will, of course, require a factory reset from the about menu in the settings...Make sure you set your Locale in the phone settings to US as well as the computer that will be having Zune software on it for syncing.

blackberry setup - Australia (O2 Mini)

Hi, was wondering if anyone can help me setup blackberry on my o2mini..
I have upgraded to the latest ROM which claims to have blackberry function.
But i have no idea how to make it work to start receiving my pop mails..
can anyone help me ><
i am with vodafone if that helps...
Just pop into a Vodafone store and they will help you set it up...you will have to go on a plan (not prepaid)
u sure they can help me set it up?
i remember going in before enquiring about blackberry for O2mini and they said its not suported officially..?
Would the setting up blackberry procedure the same as other ones?
i'll go in and ask them then
thanks
From memory I think you'll have to go onto the $49 data plan to use blackberry since they now charge $1 per 5 mins of GPRS connectivity.
Nearly makes me want to switch back to Telstra..... nearly
yay~~~
now its working~
basically you need to have BB account with your provider (pay service)
and setup account thru their website.
You will need your device's IMEI/PIN number
and POP3 email address + passwords and thats all!!!

I'm wondering whether this is still working for you ... according to this thread, the folks at Blackberry kick you off after a few days if the BB Connect client does not match the ROM's original network ...
PS. i have read alot of discussions on here about getting it to work properly... just to let you all know, if your PIN number for your blackberry client meant for another network.... blackberry themselves will cut of the traffic to your pin number... although this may take a week or so for it to cut off. The network you are with will not know this has happened hense you will get no help from them. This is a LICENSING issue... tech support advisors will not have this within thier network's published information.

Is it still working for you?
Yes its still working for me - with vodafone.
The only thing its not promised to do as a proper BB device is not been able to receive the emails straight away at occassionally.
Also, if you have the USB plugged in the BB email gets disabled automatically untill u unplug it.
I upgraded to the T-Mobile ROM 1.3.
Didnt do the big storage patch as i got lost in the middle of the tutorial and couldnt be bothered... ;p (BUT still have about 20mb original storage)
Also the post about BB checking mismatches probably only applys when ppl install the O2mini 1.3 ROM --> O2miniPro..
Otherwise i cant think of anything that i did more to make it work continueous.
Voda BB unlimited plan is $49 month i think.

Thanks for the info. In any event, work won't allow me to use my O2 for this - not a secure enough device, according to them.
BTW, I did the bigstorage thing ... very straightforward if you follow the 8 steps at the bottom of this page.
well thats too bad ><~
But about the security issue.. i m sure if the hackers really wants to get in your email they will always figure a way..
If you company uses a work server + sercurity + firewalls + whatever then probably YES it will be insecure compare to BB but then you cant use your email unless you at work... guess that the trade off..
With the Vodafone:
What happen is they give you a <[email protected]> which the settings etc links to your BB device - O2mini.
So whatever emails in the inbox there will be on your device.
To setup you have to 'nominate'/add your various pop3 accounts to make it PULL emails from them to the this <[email protected]>.
Hope this clarify some of the ideas the technology uses for you newbies like myself ;p

Wish I could fix up our internal policy issues!
More seriously, does anyone know of any document that I could provide to our IT people that would convince them that the BB Connect software (running on the O2 mini) will not be a risk for the Blackberry Enterprise Server (and related systems)?

The issue is not really with BB Connect. The issue is that with Blackberry devices, the IT department can force a profile onto the Blackberry device and set up policies that cannot be overriden. Eg, they can set a policy that the device will ask for a password after 5 minutes of inactivity. This however cannot be done with a PDA running BB Connect.
Other examples of policies that they cannot enforce:
- Internet usage (web browsing, ssh'ing etc)
- Installation of software (games, etc)
Have you guys had any luck getting this working with Optus.
I have been trying to get it going for about 3 days now and am about to put it into the to hard basket.
Hi all,
I got it all installed and got my email address and 'the activation" password from my IT department. We use Blackberry Enterprise server.
There is no place for me to enter that information in the settings, any idea?
Thanks,
Eric.
anyone can help me...?
when i want to upgrade the ROM, there an error message "Country ID error". then what should i do...?

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2431699
We need to call to our country microsoft office and tell them the problem, and whait to activation code...

First place, here in Portugal we don´t have untill now the marketplace and Xbox games, we need to creat an hotmail with adress in california to be able this features.
Then change all contacts to this new email and put it in windows live account on Trophy, and finally, we pick up the activation code that microsoft send us and activate the Windows live ID correcly.

"Can't set up your account" HD2 - WP7

Hello there. I have the 25 digit code, and have successfully activated my windows live account on my HD2. But when entering Marketplace, i get this message:
"Either Xbox LIVE or Marketplace for Windows Phone isn't offered yet in your country/region. Please check back later."
What can I do? WP7 is kind of boring without Marketplace access.
NB: I've tried to change my country settings under my windows live ID to USA, from Denmark. But still, same error message.

you have a make a new windows live ID from a country where it is supported. Change your locale to that country in your phone. Log in with your new information (you might have to hard reset), and BAM! it works.
I got the same problem.
I'm from Brazil and have a XBox Live Gold account (from that country).
I make the activation with that account and even the marketplace or xbox live games hub not work.
It's a shame that Microsoft don't make the MarketPlace available WorldWide when not exist in a specific region.
Anyone could make that work with a secondary account (just adding it)? Or have to hard reset?
Damn... i really want to use it with that xbox live account.
Microsoft just answer my question with this event: http://windowsteamblog.com/windows_...er-news-beta-mango-tools-available-today.aspx

[Q] HOw does Market determine the physical location of the Surround

this might fall on Windows Phone 7 Generally but the Philippines is still not supported buy Market and apparently windows phone 7 users cant buy apps, one user of an hd7 said he changed his location setting to US and was able to buy apps with his credit card, so how does Market recognize where the phone and owner is? is it via the manual setting or does the GPS report to Market where the owner is?
It is actually determined by the billing address of your Live ID. It has noithing to do with the location of your phone.
ok but his Mastercard is billed in the Philippines so how come he was able to buy apps and games?
what he did mention that somewhere in the Zune software he specified the US as location so was that the reason?
Actually, I think that if you set your Region Format to English (United States) you can access the Marketplace from your phone. Go to Settings > Region & Language to change this.
I live in Argentina and I can download apps from the Marketplace. If I set my Region Format to Spanish (Argentina) I can no longer access the Marketplace.
As a last resort, you can use the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace for Windows app to download applications and then deploy them to your phone. This will require you to "developer unlock" your phone in order to sideload the applications.
I never tried buying an app though, so all of the above might be irrelevant to your case.

[Q] LG Optimus L7 Email Debug menu

Hello
I represent company that is developing MS Exchange service for our users. One of our users is using LG Optimus L7 II (Android 4.1.2) and he can't use Exchange service efficiently. From our point of view everything is ok (he sends request, we send him response like to every other user), but he can't enter to any email folder. So I asked him to enable Exchange logging as follows:
- Enable USB Debugging
- Add a new email account using the email address [email protected] and password debug
- Select the newly addedd acount Debug and select "Enable extra debug logging", "Enable Exchange parser logging" and "Enable Exchange sd card logging".
He said that it's not possible because device is trying normally to add this account (asking for server, domain) and then trying to connect which fails of course.
On every other Android device we have in office it works ( for example SGS2 also with Android 4.1.2 ). Unfortunately our user lives in other country so I can't get this device in to my hands.
So my question is: does any one know how to enter to this Email Debug menu in LG Optimus L7 II? Could LG or provider which sold device to our user disable such possibility?
