Little Help Needed. - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

Hi bro's is there any perfect software to password protect my contacts and sms messages?
i have Wizard with windows mobile 6.0
if there is any please tell me..
Regards.

Theres obviously the password protect built into the phone. You can set it to every 5 minutes, like i do, and then it will prompt you to enter your PIN or Alphanumeric password everytime the phone is inactive for 5 minutes. The only issue with that is once you unlock your phone it will allow you to access your contacts therefore if someone grabs it from you, so can they.

Emergency Call (need for your lights)

Hi,
Does any one know how to remove the annoying Emergency Call Feature.
I explain me ...
I have made a lot of search with all words but does not find a working solution.
When simple password PIN feature is used to lock the TyTN you have to type your 4 digits PIN password and then Emergency Number appears and then you must click OK button or OK key.
In my Wizard when I type my PIN Password this auto unlock the Wizard (without emergency call)
I have tested the solution from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296674 saying to delete these keys HLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\RIL\ & HLM\SECURITY\ECALL\ but I always have this amazing Emergency Number which always appears.
These keys a auto regenerated by WM when you enter your SIM PIN password to activate phone on restart and even without keys this Emergency Call Number always appear.
I have search in all the registry for 112 but does not find somethings.
Is it hard coded ? Where is stored this information ? Is it possible to replace the new PIN password control with the old one (from my wizard ?)
I would like to remove the Emergency Call function and have a normal password control (I don't want to have problems with emergency call center)
Thanks to all in advance.
Found theese Regkeys in WM6:
HLM/Security/ECall
HLM/Security/EcallWithoutSIM
HLM/Security/ECallWithSIM
Just add your wished numbers to the List, and softreset the device...

Phone tracking software

I'm looking for the best phone tracking software in case it gets stolen. I have been on www.freewarepocketpc.net and there are loads. Someone else posted that they use WIMP (www.freewarepocketpc.net) which is $15 after the trial. WIMP sounds pretty good, but there are so many free versions out there. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good free one, as I haven't got time right now to install all 30-odd and try them all.
Thanks!
I think RemoteTracker is quite good.

Thanks for the tip. Have installed (painless). Will test when the wife gets home!
I tried WIMP after reading this page.
it is absolutely gorgeous.
Took my phone and kept it next to the window.
Tried to sms the wimp code to my phone.
WIMP catches the sms without making it noticable and sends you an sms back with the exact GPS location of your phone and a link for Google Maps.
And even better, it will send a sms to the phonenumber you entered in the settings with the new phonenumber of the new simcard in the phone that has been "stolen".
Which means that you'll still be able to send an sms to the phone even if it doesnt has your SIMcard in it.
I choose WIMP.
I've used Ultimate Theft Alert v3.5 with success.
A killer software to Secure your Expensive Pocket PC Devices!
Ultimate Theft Alert is the best security application ever designed for Windows Mobile based Pocket PC devices.
Every mobile phone has a unique identification number called IMEI and likewise, every SIM has IMSI. Using this unique number, the software could distinguish the owner and thief.
Once your Pocket PC is stolen, obviously first thing the thief does is remove your SIM card and insert his own. Ultimate Theft Alert will identify this and send alert messages to all your alternate numbers directly from the thief’ SIM card. (You’re actually getting the thief’ mobile number!)
In addition to the thief’ number, the software will also forward you all his incoming SMS and incoming caller numbers. Knowing this, you can easily track down your stolen Pocket PC.
The possibilities don’t stop here. You can remotely control your Pocket PC when Ultimate Theft Alert is installed. Remote functions such as locking, unlocking of device, erasure of personal data and files can be done easily by sending a secret SMS command to your stolen Pocket PC.
When your Pocket PC has a GPS chipset built-in, Ultimate Theft Alert can pin-point the location of the device too!
To the best of all, the thief is completely unaware of all your tracking works. The secret SMS commands are all hidden from regular inbox and there will be no trace of SMS sent from your device too!
There's a significant section on XDA here when they were offering it for free, but I think the offer has expired

I use UTA also. And apart from the error message you get everytime you reset the phone (and yes I know you can disable the alert)...it's the best I've tried
I use WIMP also. its easy to use
I use smartphonetracker (google is your friend) now which is fairly painless and free.
The Everstealth software allows you to view a complete list of all the incoming and outgoing calls made on a particular mobile phone. An Employer would find it useful in determining if a phone was being used to make personal calls at the company expense.

Enter two PINs at startup

Hi,
this is my first post. I've read this forum and didn't find the answer for the following question. I have HTC Touch Diamond 2 Topaz WM 6.1.
For company policy reasons, I have to lock the device after a few minutes of inactivity. I use the standard feature AllSettings/Personal/Lock with a Simple PIN. It works fine.
The problem is that, when I start up the device, first of all, it prompts me to introduce the Simple PIN for unlocking the screen, and then the usual startup PIN. So, I have to introduce two passwords for accessing the phone.
I don't want to use S2U2 or similar because of performance (moreover, I've seen the same problem with S2U2). The standard mechanism is OK, but I would like to workaround this annoying double PIN entering.
Is there any registry tweak or something to avoid the unlocking screen at startup?.
Thanks in advance.
MARC
Hi Marc,
My company's IT department also put restrictions on my phone. I have Blackberry on mine and there is lots and lots written about the issue of the security policy for this. Do you have Blackberry on yours? I can help you if you do.
Or do you use MS Exchange for your emails? I know nothing about this.
Either way, you should only have one pin to enter, not 2. Have you set up your own security unlock via start/settings/Personal/Lock too? If so, you should be able to disable this one.
How can I lock my phone after a while?
Thanks for your answer. I use TD2 WM61 and Lotus Notes with Lotus Traveler as a sync mechanism.
To lock my phone with password unlock, I go to settings/personal/lock and configure it with a Simple PIN. The problem comes when I boot my phone: it asks for this Simple PIN, and then it asks for the SIM PIN... which is annoying. It seems like the startup process is slower than the locking mechanism and then, first locks, then asks for the usual startup PIN.
Initially, I don't want to use software like S2U2, TouchLockPro or similar. Is there a way to customize the lock feature?. Or is there a different way to lock with password my phone?.
Thanks again.

My Phone Number

Hello
strange one here, my phone number dose not appear at the top on sim manger, i really need it to. I used exchange 2010 and activesync, so i can send text message from outlook or owa. i can see a whole thread of texts between me and some one else, but it dose not display my name next to the message i sent, it dose if i sent it via outlook but not the phone. any way i need to know how to get sim manger to pick up my number or can i manually edit it, my exchange server cant pick my phone number up. so i look at sim manger and found that the issue is prob due to sim manger not displaying it. please can some one help
many thanks
Nick
Phone number is assigned from operator. Your sim contains only IMSI code and i'ts impossible retreive from phone.
You can set your phone number using sim manager:
go to sim manager menu->tools-> list your number (menu tools is not visible without gesture from down to up). In this option you can change number
