Itech headset and Universal - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro General

Anyone have any ideas why when a call has been completed with the Itech (S38) headset the voicedial window pops up? It happens every time a call is completed, regardless of whether the call was answered using the answer button on the headset or phone. I can't find where to disable voicedialling either as I would be happy to switch it off.
It's very annoying!

Does this Itech headset have a feature to allow quick switching between Home Phone and Cell Phone? Like you press a button on the headset and you choose the Home phone or Cell phone? Because my plantronics allows me to do so but I wanted to check this Itech headset out because many people are talking of it and i got recommendations to buy it.

Switching
I don't beleive so. Once paired to the device of choice it just allows call answer via the blue LED button. This button also acts as the activator for voicedialling when in standby, which is where the problem may lie? It's just confusing as when not using the blue LED button to answer a call the voicedial window still popo up when the call has ended.

Any ideas anyone?

Headset connect button voice command activate time

Has anyone any idea on how I can adjust the time required to hold the headset connect button in order to activate the voice command? Currently I need to hold this for far to long in order to activate it.
Maybe there's something in the manual, but I can't even anwer calls with that button. I think it's supposed to be short press to answer calls, and long press for voice command. Still not figured it out.
That's odd, I press the button for a brief moment , and voice-command is activated.....BT headset btw, but it works like a charm...
The handsfree wired headset that came with the Dopod is the one that takes quite a few seconds of holding to respond. I imagine that a bluetooth headset would work differentially as the time is probably controlled by the device itself rather than the HTC 3600.

Bluetooth headset headaches

I have a BT-850 bluetooth headset, and everything works perfectly but every time I turn the headset off for charging and then back on, I have to go to bluetooth settings, delete the partnership, press the button on the headset for the Wizard to find it, enter the 0000 password, tick on Hands free and tap Finish. It is a PAIN IN THE ARSE TO DO THIS EVERYTIME!!
If I turn the Wizard off completely and reboot, the headset still works. The problem happens when I turn the headset off and back on only.
Is there a way around this?
TIA
hmmm.... i also have the 850, and aside from having to use BTaudio to force it to be a stereo headset, i havent encountered that problem.
have u tried just opening it up and pressing the universal button on the headset?? that usually instantly connects me to my phone.
Hmm are we talking about the same headset? Mine is not stereo!
Attached is a picture of it.

BTAudio pumps system sound (including music) via bluetooth headset profile, as opposed to A2DP to a stereo headset.
So when you turn on your headset, can you press the call-answer button to try and initiate the connection? That is what I do with my Itech S38.
I think my headset is defective. After reassociating, it works perfectly when I press the call/end button on it. The problem is only when I turn it off and back on. I hate to go driving and have to reassociate it when I forgot to do it before jumping into the car...

When you turn your headset off, and back on, then press the call/end button, does it reassociate?
Solved!!!
By a casuality I turned the headset on and kept the call button pressed. It started to blink the red and blue lights rapidly. I then deleted the association on the Wizard and started a search for BT devices. After some seconds it found the headset but with a headset icon (before, every time it detected the headset, it had an arrow or something like that) I then added it and now it works perfectly. When I turn it off and back on, I press the call button and it reassociates alone and opens voice dial. AMAZING!!!!
Thanks for the help,
Marton

WM6.1 Answer phone with bluetooth

Having a problem with bluetooth. When my headset is paired, I have no problems answering and making calls. However, on my previous phone, if I pressed the answer button on the phone itself, then I could talk on the phone without the headset. I like this option since I usually only use the headset in the car, but don't like wearing out in stores etc. But now when my phone rings and my headset is in my pocket, I'll pick up my phone, press the answer call button, and can't hear anyone since the call is coming through the headset in my pocket!
Any fix for this?
Thanks,
Tim

Voice Dialing by BT headset

Hi All!
I have a problem with HD: I can not start voice dialing by the BT headset (with Polaris worked well), but only to repeat the last call pressing 2 time the button. The headset is a Htc m200 (it supports this feature). Somebody help me solve? TNX!
Mine works fine using MSVC. I I use a cheap bluetooth headset I got from AT&T and in the car it works using my JVC car radio.
you need to hold the call button a little longer than normal and it works. Just dont press and release. hold it and you will hear a blip and make your call.

bluetooth handfree issue

I use a BT handfree, but sometimes I may want to answer a call using the phone itself.
If I slide to answer, I don't expect the phone to transfer the call to my handfree. It has been working in this way for all the phones I used previously
However, N1 will still transfer the call to my handfree in this situation....Any solution? (other than pressing the bluetooth soft button on screen)

That was what I was going to suggest. One additional button-press doesn't strike me as terribly burdensome.
Anyhow, the way it works makes sense to me. If I have a bluetooth headset stuck in my ear, chances are I'm going to want to use it for the call, even if I answered the call using the slide just because I picked up the phone to see who was calling and slid to answer while I had the phone in hand rather than using the button on the bluetooth device.
I Have been driven nuts by this for ages, to me the nexus one does it right.
My car handsfree answers after 4 rings, if I really didn't want to miss the call I'd press on the phone to answer, only then to panic when I couldn't hear them and then have to use speakerphone and turn off the radio manually and then have a really difficult conversation.
now, if the handsfree is connected it's always used.... I think there is a privacy function (that's what it's called on some other phones anyway) which will switch the call to the handset.

lol i don't know what you guys are smoking.... but it is up to personal preference i guess.
It would be better if we have an option for that so everyone will be happy
