sorry i have heard that the new windows mobile can run some phone programs, but haven't tried it myself

to cut a long story short,
tomtom is not yet compatable with windows mobile 5
there are messages explaining what to do on this site to get around this problem...

I'm sure I read on the Pocket GPS thred some where its an all in one thing ?

on the tomtom web site, the 5.20 is listed by tomtom mobile 5 and 5.10 is listed by tomtom navigator 5
This is the first time on this forum. I have just purchased tomtom 5 Navigator and upgraded my xda 2 to windows mobile 2005. Everytime I switch the tomtom on the backlight goes out and resets back to default.
I have installed PHM regedit on my xda 2 but I do not know what files to chage to stop this. Many thanks.
someone out there must have a solution please i have the same problem its a pain please help

Here is the modified file it should help for your backlight prob
just replace your exe file in your navigator with the attached file and change the file name as yours.
but make sure you take the backup or save your file somewhere on the computer if something goes wrong so you can come back to where you are now.

Sorry but I should have said I have purchased the best version available to date on a sd card last Monday Version 5.210 also on the card is GB s/e maps.

Not sure what version you have ,or what version this is , i havent used tomtom on my xda 2 since i dropped and knackered it anyway this is tomtom 6 with the backlight fix

Thought this might be of interest to Cypriot Touch Cruise owners or Touch Cruise owners traveling to Cyprus
it's the new version of the pocket navigator. u can download it and then extract it in a new folder on your desktop. copy the folder (contains 2 subfolders and a cab) on your ppc. then ran the cab. only 2 languages (greek and english).

Got the HTC Touch Diamond and all my other GPS software wont work on WM 6.1 anymore.
Destinator 6 worked eventually, i'll try this too and see.

Well actually there are several maps and gps software for cyprus (imagine that!)
I use iGO, but i used to have destinator and pocket navigator also. I think the most up to date maps are for iGO, although CYTA co-released a version of map suitable for destinator i think

I intend to use it on my Magician device. It´s already installed on my SD-Card, but when I start the Navigator, it always complains there´s no map.
In which folder do I have to place the map files?
