I left my phone overnight on a charger in the morning it started behaving really weird (laggy) all system apps stop working and its literally unusable...
I tried reflashing stock rom, kernels... and all that stuff but nothing is working.
Boot for stock is really long and setup process is laggy af
Is it possible i overcharged it (the mobo)?
Bump.
Its usually system apps that stop responding while booting.
Like when I'm booting and I'm on a screen "Android is starting" all of a sudden error pops out saying "System UI isn't responding" or "Process System isn't responding"...
Even while flashing stock rom in Odin it takes longer to flash system.img then it used to
Any help guys? I'd really appreciate it

Been having this problem with the latest 4.4 kitkat roms, (GE & AOSP)
when i was back on my old bootloader (whatever it shipped with) and modem (XXUEMJ5) i would always get a random force shutdown when just using my phone through daily use, it would either:
A) Boot for a short time with several apps having lost all their data (such as usernames and passwords). Then shortly after shutdown again into a constant bootloop. (Upon entering Recovery the phone would display 0% battery)
B)Shutdown into a bootloop only recoverable by wiping the /data partition or reflashing the rom (or any other rom).
So then i heard good news from the new bootloader and modem from the XXUFNA5 Leaks throughout the forums and decided to flash them and also test the leaked TW rom. Being me the rom was laggy as hell and i quickly reverted back to Jamal's 4.4 RC 1.1
Unfortunately the force shutdown bootloop problem continued but when it would shutdown i could plug the phone into a power source and boot without problems? not very convenient if you ask me.
just recently i flashed Brood's AOSP pre-RC4 which was working fine until i was signing into some apps then it force shutdown and as i tried to boot the phone went to "Updating apps 1 of 1" and then instantly shut down again.
I went into recovery and wiped /data, /cache and Dalvik then rebooted, the phone would reach the final stage of booting (just before the lockscreen shows) and would reboot and repeat the process all over again.
I went to flash a different rom so i could atleast have a working phone for the day and upon fully wiping, etc. the phone would not boot and continue the reboot process. i suspected a bootloader problem so i reflashed the bootloader and roms now boot. im guessing the bootloader was corrupted somehow and i think the process will just repeat itself.
Anyone got any ideas? I'm stumped and frustrated as the process of setting my phone back up every day is getting extremely boring.
So I seem to have a strange issue with my Moto XPE. I have liveboot installed so I can see the Kernel log (I think that's what it's called, if not then please excuse my lack of knowledge). Sometimes when I reboot, the phone will start to boot like normal, then at some point through the process, this error will keep showing up.
"msm_rngata not available!" <-- That's not supposed to be an emoticon, but rather "msm_rng : Data not available" only without those extra spaces.
It will repeat over and over along with some other things that mean nothing to me because of my lack of technical knowledge on the matter. It will keep doing that until the battery dies if I were to let it.
If it decides it's going to boot normally that error will still show up a few times but the phone will continue to boot and it won't hang up on it.
My concern is this: What if I have a random reboot and this happens and I don't know about it and it ends up damaging my phone in some way (runs the battery down past the point of return or it overheats, etc).
I'm on TruPurX ROM with Frankenkernel. I've observed the issue with multiple stock based kernels. Any idea what this is or how to fix it?
-Manually booting into TWRP, then rebooting to system usually makes it boot correctly.. but not always.
Have you tried another custom ROM to determine if it is an issue with the current one you are running? Could be a corrupted download our install.
I hope I'm posting this at the right place. I have to start off by saying that I'm almost a complete noob regarding rooting and things that have to do with it. I rooted my phone about 6 months ago I think and the reason why I did that was only because I wanted to be able to freeze down some apps with titanumbackup. Since it's been such a long time ago I've forgotten almost all those steps I did when I rooted my phone.
Anyways back to the issue. So today I got a notification from SuperSU saying that it needed to update. I didn't think too much about it so I just followed the notification and updated it. When I started SuperSU I got 2 choices. Either updating normal or by TWRP/CWM. The dumb me just pressed TWRP/CWM for no reason and the phone rebooted into recovery mode. A lot of text started scrolling down at the bottom left corner and when it finally stopped it said something along the line with update failed. I pressed "reboot the system now" from the list and after that my phone rebooted. The samsung logo popped out as usual but after that the screen was completely black. Then I got a lot of popups telling me that this and that app stopped working. Contacts stopped working, whatsupp stopped working, messenger stopped working etc. Like all the apps stopped working.
So I've been trying to google a solution to this but it doesn't seem like someone has had the exact same problem. I've been trying to research things about rooting and such again to see if it can help me someway but I don't think I can't fix this problem by doing just that, so therefore I'm writing this to see if you guys can help me since you have waaay more experience than me when it comes to rooting. I've tried flashing CF-Auto-Root-jflte-jfltexx-gti9505 again using odin but the problem stays. I've tried updating to the latest stable SuperSU by downloading the zip file and putting it on the sd card and then using recovery mode but it didn't work either (I got an error E: signature verification failed). So after reading about the error I tried flashing a CWM but everytime I do that with odin I either get a FAIL or I keep getting the messages (Added, removed, added, removed). I download kies to get the drivers but it didn't help. and now when I try to boot into recovery mode my phone just keep rebooting.
I really don't know what to do now guys so I hope you guys can help me out :crying:

When I boot up the phone the screen is totally black. The only thing that shows are those popups (a lot of them) that tells me that this and that app stopped working. :/

Right now I don't see any other choice than flashing a stock rom.
Or you could try reflashing the recovery.
Make sure you are using the back USB ports and the original cable. Odin is quite sensitive with this.
At times the metro boot logo freezes on start up, and also every ten seconds will vibrate five times. Not stuck on the software boot though. restoring to stock firmware does nothing, removed boot animation but still vibrated at black screen. the reason I would want it fixed is I cant install an app that requires reboot every time its stuck. then the only way to repair is to use odin. any help is greatly appreciated.

You can always try SlimPickins Rom. It's a lighter, faster, version of the stock firmware and, as such, runs smoother.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=63868639
If you have tons of apps or if you're using a bunch of Xposed modules on this device though, then it may hang on the boot screen from time to time anyway, causing you to have to pop the battery and try booting again and again until it eventually starts up. Whenever this happens I usually backup all my data in TWRP, then do a standard wipe of the device, reflash SlimPickins clean and then restore my data. If you have a lot of apps though, it may be even better on this device to just back them up in Titanium Backup and restore them one by one as you need them, so as not to bog the device right back down again.
It shouldn't be vibrating on boot though. That usually indicates a deeper problem in the system or with one of the partitions, which is generally fixed by flashing the stock firmware, but I recommend just trying SlimPickins and making sure your apps aren't taking up too much space or using up too much memory. One thing I did was delete the standard Facebook app and went with a 3rd party one called "Swipe", which pretty much looks the same, but is 300mbs less in size and takes up a lot less memory. I also dialed back my Xposed mods to just the essentials and I haven't really had a problem since.
Hope someone can help. I had an issue with an app the other day which I think caused my phone to overheat.
Since then I have had a major issue with the phone freezing. I tried to install stock through odin which was fine but the phone freezes during the boot logo sequence, and the stock Rom won't load.
The phone freezes in the Rom, recovery and when booting.
I have managed to install lineage Rom as this doesn't take long to install or boot up. So I have the Rom running for anything from 10secs to about 40secs then it freezes and eventually reboots.
I have had red messages come up saying cannot mount or demount data and system when factory resetting when in recovery.
Is it a faulty part inside or does anyone have any ideas on what I can Do?
Thanks in advance.

Bro post in s7 edge help section, this is for news, guides etc. Btw you can try smartswitch emergency recovery, put your serial no. and model no. there. If it fails too then reflash stock rom with normal CSC and repartition ticked in options, it will delete all data, so back it up before. If it still freezes and reboots after fresh stock rom install, then there is surely something wrong with your phone.
