Device Alps Q92 long story short, fake Android version and fake ram as per Fake Device Test. Device won't open CPU-Z. It will download but when attempting to open it shuts down/closes down. I would like to upgrade the unit but i can't seem to find it in XYAuto. Can someone guide me to where i might be able to upgrade this unit. Please see attached.

Hi all,
I recently purchased a android head unit on Aliexpress. I can't post the link yet....
The unit is globally good, perfect integration and I managed to get the swc to work "natively" with poweramp app.
When I get more time I'll post a review of the device and feedback after a few weeks playing with the toy... In the mean time feel free to ask me !
I open this topic today because I would like to root the HU in order to install Viper4android which I understand improves the audio quality (stock quality is ok but it could be improved...).
The seller has been quite responsive but as soon as I talked about rooting the HU to install said app I got zero response so I figured XDA would be the place to go!
Before opening this thread I tried to find an answer on my own but not knowing precisely the HU name/specs makes it hard to find a match.
I've tried rooting with kingroot and baidu but I couldn't go through!
In order to help you guys help me, here is the data I have on my unit (apart from the link above that isn't giving much away... except it's supposed to be a Bonroad brand but nothing on the net....)
Its a quad core R16 1.6G
Android 4.4.2
MCU version : 5.3.18-98-10-E50201-160323
System version : 4.5.9_20160322
DVD version : 2.13.15-1200xh-15041.7
The audio chip is a TDA 7719 and the radio chip TEF662X.
Code to extra settings : 123456
Code to develop mode : 7890.
As design it looks pretty close to the wunlink Ownice but everyone knows that the inside may vary significantly !
Can anyone Id my unit based on the data above ? Or help me root it without bricking it ?
Thanks a lot for your help and looking forward to hearing from you and exchanging tips and tricks on these units!

You have pretty much the exact same info as my Android unit.
I was able to root my unit using "Kingoroot". But I would lose root every reboot. Then someone posted here to use "Kingroot V4.5.0" and only that version worked for me to keep root.
These are the forums that worked for me

Hi,
I recently bought the attached unit 2nd hand with not firmware or gps card or any leads.
I managed to get power to it using a pioneer lead but when I plugged it in it beeped but the screen was blank and the src button lit up for a few seconds.
I then pressed the reset button and held in src let go of the reset and held the scr for a further 5 seconds or so and it seemed to boot up showed the vw screen then an android screen but it stays on the android screen and will not do anything else.
I believe it is the model in the following link I will also post a video of the reset I done

please see the link to the reset video

hello
Please help me solve my brick unit, as the chinese seller does not want to help me.
I dont. know how to identify it , maybe you can help me. Also, i can't post links so please don.t be mad at me.
last year i bought an Android headunit for my Skoda. it is from Aliexpress, Auto Funrover Store...
It has OEM plug, internal CAN BUS decoder, MTK 8127, an was good price. But the software was awfull and they send me a lot of software versions, but no good.
So, to make it short :
- at some point, the unit did not work well with the CAN. wrong door open was showed on the screen, rear view screen appeared event if i set it to OFF, etc
- the seller send me an update for the MCU, i tried to update, but the unit got stuck at 40%.
So brick, no boot. They sent me a MCU chip, i replaced on the board. The unit worked awfull like before, but at least it worked.
they send me another update for the MCu, and of course, the update stopped at 40% and now the unit is brick again. No support from the seller.
i tried to update the MCU via SWIM with STLINK, but no go. The MCU chip is STM8S006C6T6 from ST and the version is MCU SM92D1.160428 V1.1-LC-B3
Please give an advice ! ask me any detail, i will post it here.
thank you
In my other cars, I have simple 2 DIN Android units which are easily identifiable and I have flashed different ROMS and MCU firmware to those to get the desired interface and features that I needed..
But with the new unit I purchased for my 2003 Mazda 6, I am having trouble working out what type of unit it is.. I have no idea if there are other ROMs available, or different MCU versions. I would like to figure this out, so I can potentially work on fixing some of the little annoyances that this unit has.
The unit was purchased from AliExpress here.
I have attached screenshots of the details in the settings app, and the 'car settings' app also.
Overall, the unit is very responsive, and the software isn't too bad.. but it has a few issues i'd like to attempt to fix.
Any help identifying it, or links to any MCU firmware or Android ROMs for it would be appreciated.
Thanks
My main goal is an MCU update to allow 'fast boot' of the unit.
When you turn the car off, I notice the LCD backlight turns off (but if you look closely, the LCD itself is still on, as is the touchscreen, for about 10 seconds) but the unit remains powered for around 10 seconds, when it seems to be sent a 'shutdown signal' (I assume from the MCU) and the unit completely powers down.. I want to change this to just 'sleep' the unit.

hi I have Dasaita max6 rk3399 mtce android unit, I bricked the unit during an upgrade process. As a result, black screen and my PC no longer detect it when connect with USB. I looked at some threads and people suggest to short the pin when plug into pc and I have a hard time to locate the pin to short. I have attached the board picture and hope anyone can give me some leads.
many thanks!

without displaying images about the android system or head unit device information for example, screen photos when displaying the android system, RAM and ROM capacity, mainboard photos printed with mainboard type or others info, then other members are difficult to help you to solve the problem you have.
