Hi,
I am here to ask you for help with my TWP3...
My story is below:
I am (was) a user of TWP3. Unfortunately, few days ago I had it on swimming pool. After 5mins in the water the watch turned off and then it get into endless boot loop - watch turned on in the recovery mode, and after 3 seconds turned off (please see attached movie). When the battery died, I tried to dry the watch. I unscrewed it, removed the cover (did not see any water marks inside) and left it in the sun for a day. After that I tried to charge it - it started to charge, but (again) it turned on in the recovery mode (boot loop again). I tried to turned it on by pressing the power button for a long time, and after third reboot it turned ON! All the functions seem to work fine., but I have a problem with the low button (multifunctional button). It does not work. It seems like the button is stuck (still turned on). It is interesting because when I push the button it "clicks" , so probably mechanically it is ok, but the water did some bad job... Every time I turned the watch off and ON it starts in the recovery mode and I have to press the power button for a long time to turn it on.
Here is my question to you: Is it possible to disable this button somehow in the software??? Using the developer options? Or doing something in the hardware???
I'd appreciate any help!
aaaaa - my guarantee period is over and mobvoi just told me to buy new watch (really great advice...).
kind regards,
Mlr
I just had the same problem after swimming. Did you find a solution?

remove the battery for 60 seconds and then replace it .. then once the phone has restarted safe mode will be gone
safe mode will sometimes enable itself as a security procedure.. for example whens something is installed ... however you can enable and disable safe mode in the following way
1) enable safe mode ....
Power off the phone
Turn it on while pressing the Menu button, keep holding it until home screen appears
The home screen’s lower left corner should contain the words Safe Mode.
2) disable safe mode ...
Turn off the phone
Remove battery for some time (1 minute is good)
Insert battery and turn it on.
in summary safe mode is enabled when some programs are run or installed on your phone ... however its hard to pinpoint which program and why this happens... however personally i think its a security feature .. ( since safe mode has less user privelages then normal running mode )
i hope this helps
Hi all,
I've been reading alot on this forum but never posted anything.
Most of my problems were solved by reading the solutions found by other members with the same problem.
This time that trick doesn't work for me anymore
Here is my problem.
A few days ago the phone went dead after the battery run out of juice (a Mugen extended 3000 Mah battery).
After connecting the phone to a charger I noticed that I didn't see the battery icon on the screen that used to show up during charging.
After a couple of tests I noticed that the phone actually did boot up but the screen doesn't show any signs of life.
I can both hear (tmobile tune) and feel (vibration) the phone booting up.I can even hear it ringing when calling the phone with my other phone but the screen stays black and doesn't show any signs of life.
I must add the following information:the phone has been used extensively as a gps tracker in my car.
Is there a way to solve my problem?
I hope someone can help me out with this weird and unexpected problem.
Thanks in advance!
if you put the phone into download mode does the screen work?
pull the battery and put it back in again
hold vol down home button and with these two buttons held then also hold the power button
if you can see the screen and can see download mode continue to flash stock rom via odin (search for how and note all data on phone will be lost)
if you cant see the screen in download mode chances are you have a hardware fault and should take it to a repair shop for diagnostics

I can't see anything on the screen.
It's black all the time, even when it boots up or receives a call.

either your screen/backlight is faulty or there is a loose connection
if its a backlight you can normally still see somethiing if you hold the screen at an angle
if its the screen itself or a loose connection the screen wont turn on
you will need to take it to a repair shop for testing and repair
So few days ago my phone suddenly turned off and kept rebotting itself (It would reach the samsung galaxy logo and then turn off). I thought it was a battery issue so I removed it for 30mins and tried again, worked fine for an hour then problem started again. I left it over night to charge in the wall socket incase.
Same issue next morning and no solution.
I replaced the battery with a friends and the same issue happened on my phone (i used my battery on his and it works fine on his) so I removed the issue of battery itself.
That evening the phone then just stopped responding at all. It would not respond to pressing the power button (no load, no vibration).
Tried entering download mode using vol down + home + power. Nothing. (So cant use Odin)
Tried entering recovery mode using vol up + power. Nothing
Tried hard reset using vol up + power + home. Nothing.
(All the steps I used a fully charged battery from another s4 phone and removed/re-entered before trying again)
So I check online and notice some people having issues with power button, but even if that is the case - wouldn't my phone still charge? I dont even get the battery chargning icon on the screen when plugged in either PC or wall socket.
I opened it up and changed the motherboard with another samsung s4 and my original problem mobo still does not load on the new s4. (My new mobo worked on the old device though).
The ONLY response I got was when I used my original mobo on new s4 device and plugged it into PC, it popped connect and then disconnect sound and thats it (doesnt recognize usb port).
What are my options apart from getting another motherboard or going to a shop for a JTAG repair? I was contemplating just removing the power button and seeing if that helps in getting a charge response lol
Well your power button is broken for sure. Replace it and then test it.

Wouldn't the phone still recognize charging even if the power button is faulty?

It always takes a few seconds before it starts to charge. So maybe the device reboots before reaching the charging phase. I'm guessing though. But since your problems started with power button issues it would be the logic place to start.
The part only costs a few dollars.
Well I'm exactly in the same situation as you, since this morning on a i9505 running JFLTPE-GPE 5.0 ROM. The screen appears for 1 second or 2 (Samsung logo) then it powers off . I need to remove the battery to try something else.
Same behaviour, even for recovery mode, so Odin is not an option.
I thought that changing some kernel settings have caused that, but as I just put them back to default values, it should not happen.
I didn't have some power button issues, it was just powered off at my wake up this morning. In your case, does your phone vibrate and power up instantly when you put the battery ? That's the case for me, but it should not be the normal.
My problem is actually solved : indeed, it was the power button. I removed all the screws and played a little with this power button (air dust, etc...), enough to make it start correctly !
I managed to do some backups, and now I hope that it won't break again.

Yeah, that happened before (automatically powering up, vibrating, going to samsung logo and then shutting down and doing it again until I removed battery - putting the battery back in with start it up without pressing the power button).
When it was in that phase, the one thing that did work was doing a soft reset (home+power+down vol, and then holding just power) - however that only worked for like an hour before it went back to the restart phase.
However now it doesn't respond to anything at all. (Any kind of response I got was when I put that mobo in another s4 and plugged in usb, which just gave a connected/disconnect sound on w7, no life on the phone itself).
Be very careful as to what you do, I suggest you do NOT leave the battery on it and charge it (which was the last thing I did before it went unresponsive) - my guess is phone went haywire trying to turn on/off continously.
Hi people.
So i'm having a problem with my S7 Edge and i don't think it is common. A few weeks back I was using my phone and it would suddenly turn off and the battery would be drained too. After this first incident with the problem it happened more often, and the phone would start doing boot loops to the point where the phone just froze and turned off. When these problems occured it will usually need to be a problem where I do a safe boot (Volume up, Home button and power key), and everything will be fine (or to charge it if the battery drained), but recently, the phone just didn't work at all, to the point I waited for the battery to drain (10 hours), and try charging it, nothing happens.
So firstly I was watching a video and checking my CPU/Battery tempretures to see if that was the problem (the tempretures at the time were around 31 degrees), and mid way through the video it bugged out through the audio in a high screech and turned itself off.
I tried turning it on again but no response to the screen, i tried safe booting it, or every alternative booting option, it did not work at all.
Here is all the diagnostics and repairs I did, but no luck:
- Tried turning it on
- Different boot options (Volume up/down, Home button & power key)
- Cleaning the port for moisture detection
- Replacing the battery for a new one (Genuine one)
- Doing all of the above, with it on charge
- Connecting to a PC, but no detection
One positive I found was that when i put the phone on a wireless station, it would change colour to show that the phone is charging. I have however took the wireless out of the phone as it was in the way of the battery, and safely in my draw.
Before this final fault happened, I did do a recovery to a previous Android version, just incase if it was a software fault, but it wasn't. The phone is not rooted and I had it since September of 2016.
Is there any alternative options to do? As i'm running out of ideas to do as every solution on the internet is to turn it on, which i can't whatsoever.
The warranty is voided also as there is a crack on the screen lens, and it's way too much to pay for a repair.
I need some explination of why this is happening, so I can go in the right direction and not to waste money if i was going to a repair service, or purchasing the parts for myself.
Any help would be highly appericiated.
Check your installed apps to see if there any viruses on your phone. All you said are signs that your phone might have a virus (check how to remove it here: https://www.unlockunit.com/blog/how-to-tell-if-your-phone-has-a-virus/
However, there is a chance that you do not have any viruses on your phone, but at least you have to isolate this possibility.
Did you recall installing any app prior to this behavior?
This may be the case, however i can't turn on the phone at all. I tried every possible reboot possible, download mode, bios mode, safe boot, reboot, but nothing happens unfortunately. Unless i can do it whilst it is turned off, i can do something. I have a PC if i can do anything else with it.
I don't think I have installed any weird apps on the phone.
sounds like a brick to me. Not a lot I can thing of you can do.
If you place the wireless card back in does it boot?
IT sounds like you've messed with the internals, so possible you damaged something?
I don't particularly think that I broke it from the inside as it was behaving the same before i opened it. And when i used the wireless charging, it will only indicate it was charging or getting detected on that charging pad and not on the phone regarding a red led, or the charging icon
Have you tried holding volume down + home + power for 15 seconds and try turning on the phone again?
As mentioned in the description, I have unfortunately

Have you had any luck? Am in the same boat.
Hi, I have a Moto G4 XT1621 bought almost 6 months ago. Never had any type of problem, but two days ago I woke up, saw the hour just fine, and five minutes later I grabbed it to check notifications, and it was dead. The only sign of life the phone gave me was the blinking of the charging LED and the phone vibrating randomly when I pressed the power button. That night, the phone turned on, but the screen was always black, no backlight. I heard the boot up animation sound (the classic "HELLO MOTO!!!"), but the screen wasn't turning on.
Thinking it was a software failure, I've flashed the stock rom via fastboot (the phone connects in bootloader mode, but I can't see the bootloader screen), but the problem was the same: I can hear the boot up sound, and if right after the phone boots up I press the power button, I can hear the lock sound about 5 or 6 times, but apparently it turns off itself.
Sometimes, it can't boot properly; the boot up sound is cut before it ends, mainly in "HELLO MO...".
I really need help, I've tried everything: leave it charging for hours, tried a major amperage charger, pressing the power button + vol down for 2, 3 and for 5 minutes, disassembling it and reconnecting the battery, tried to turn it on without the battery, flash stock ROM, all kinds of wipes, etc.
The phone hasn't suffered from water damage, I didn't dropped it or anything like that. The screen connections nor the motherboard connectors does not presents any damage.
Any help is welcome .
PD: Sorry for any misspelling, english isn't my main language :silly:.
Could have been the screen or the GPU

It seems weird because the phone didn't have any issues, it just turned off and bye bye. I'm running out of options
Edit: needless to say that the phone don't stay that much powered on (5 seconds aprox. for the sound that the lock screen do), so I don't think this is a screen problem. If it was a screen failure, the phone will stay on.
Bad/good news?
Almost five minutes ago, I noticed that the screen on the phone is on, but slightly visible, almost impossible to see: you have to be in a fully darked room, and its backlight it's on, but it shows no sign of letters on the bootloader or boot animation whatsoever, it's just backlight.
Any ideas of what could it be? I'm almost decided that I need a screen replacement, but any ideas will be welcomed.
