Okay, so im trying to pair my phone with Wear OS..
Galaxy Wear IS NOT INSTALLED on my phone....
Go to Wear OS, select the phone, goes through the motions (including downloading and installing Galaxy Wear app on the phone), pairs, blah blah blah...
Galaxy Wear App openes up, watch is connected...
Go to Wear OS, and it goes to the 'select your pone from the list'...

Two different watches connect to the same phone?

Just an odd thought question here... is it possible to connect two different watches to the same phone at the same time?
I recently got a new Moto360 and still have my Samsung Gear Live around. I had this really weird vision of mounting the two together either side-by-side or top and bottom of my wrist to be able to display additional information.
Probably wouldn't work, but thought I'd ask the question...
Never tried it myself, but from what I read here on XDA it should be possible.
But it's not possible to pair your watch with 2 phones (not very easy at least)
I have 3 connected, working just fine.

How does it handle things like notifications? Can you load/run different programs on them at different times?
Usually only one is connected at time, but they all get synced with the same apps. When they are all connected they all get the same notifications.
Yeah You can do this easily
fwiw the gear live makes an excellent sleeping watch with sleep as android.
that's pretty much all that one gets used for anymore, but I have it paired to my tablet. My gwatchR and moto 360 both turn on when you put them on the charger (another reason the sw3 is awesome, it'll charge while off) and SAA doesn't let you select which watch to use.
it is possible, I have three watches paired to a S6 Edge for development. In terms of developping though, you can only debug one device at a time and you have to manually assign the device to use through the Android Wear companion app.

Multiple Wear watches with one phone problems!

Hello everyone.
Is there anyone here with multiple Wear watches (preferably with different Wear versions) paired to a single phone?
I am wondering it it is just me, or anyone else too, that have such problems with watches.
I suspect that since the Wear app v. 2.0 started rolling out, having multiple watches (with different OSs) paired to my phone just started an armageddon.
Before official 2.0, I had devprev on huawei and 1.5 on zw3 and Gwatch. I had ZERO issues, ever. Then, Wear app v. 2.0 update came and it slowly began:
Wear app is going haywire almost every week. I shot few videos, hopefully I will be able to throw them on youtube tonight to showcase what is happening. But basically: I choose a watch and connect it in wear app. App shows connected. I leave for work. At work I notice I dont get notifications. I check the app, and it shows one of few possible screens: trying to connect.. or "Have a watch? set it up" (that is the most hilarious for me ) Or shows a page that would normally show your chosen watch, but it is blank. Everytime I close and open Wear app, it can show something different. It can also be showing "Connected" for a long time, but nothing works. You cant see battery stats, change watchface, nothing...
The last time, I even lost all my paired watches in BT settings. Wear app says "reconnect", ok, it reconnects, but actually isnt connected. Well, I am not sure about that to be honest.. Smart lock works Sometimes, watch says connected too (in Settings-About) The most faulty watches are those with 2.0. But it happened to 1.4 and 1.5 too.
As of right now, only zenwatch3 on 1.5 is working, but, I did a FR yesterday because it wasnt working
I am really f**king fed up with resetting every god damn watch every god damn week so that it can work for a week and then god damn break again!
I am so glad I still keep my Sony SW2 as a backup, this watch works just AWESOME! Wear watches are still nowhere near the ease of usability and reliability of SW2.
EDIT: I uploaded videos of said behaving:
NOone with issues with multiple watches??
Yes, only 1.5 watches still, but I get best results with only one watch powered on at a time, and only one manually chosen to be connected via BT in the phone app. Otherwise, there are frequent connect/disconnect notifications, mysterious quick battery drain, and often conflict between what the phone app says is connected, and what the icons on the watch say about the connection. I occasionally get the "set up your watch" on the phone app as well. I just back out of it, and it's ok.

Thanks, the symptoms are the same. But it is happening to me even when I have only one watch powered on and only one watch connected to phone. But, 7 watches total are paired. I am starting to think if it is something with BT 4.0 hardware limitations.

Android Wear or Full Android?

Ok so I'm looking to get a new watch and decided to give a smart watch a try. I had a Chinese U8 watch from years ago that I hated but things have moved on from that horrible thing.
I have been looking and I'm not sure whether to go for something with AW 2.0 (possibly the Hauwei) or whether to go for a Chinese full android watch (possibly the D5+).
I'm steering clear of anything Chinese running their own software as they are all pretty generic and all pretty crap.
I'm not looking for anything too amazing and won't be using it for calls. I won't be putting a sim/SD card into the watch so tethering of some kind is a must.
Will mostly be used for:
Time, duh.. (so the turning wrist wake up would be good)
Notifications (mostly reading, on the odd chance I do want to reply using the watch a voice command would be good but not essential)
Some slight messing around when I'm bored.
I have ruined my brain with articles/YouTube videos but it seems to be hard to find a definitive answer to this.
i own a lg urbane 2 and a lemfo lem5.
espacially if you need no calls, take wear. don;t know about huawei, but battery life of the lg and the lemfo are worlds from each other.
i use the watch for calls, email, almost everything. the lemfo will not go through the day.
wear on the other hand, is another world and much harder to use (when using standalone, can't judge whiel i not use it as a companion device)

alert when leave phone

do you know if there is an app that warns you when you leave the phone?
I use Wear Aware but it's not on the Play Store anymore and looks like it hasn't been updated since 2015. Here's a download link if you want to try it: https://wear-aware.en.uptodown.com/android
Yes, Feel the Wear
Cerberus and Wear Battery Full offer that functionality in addition to their main functions of anti-theft and watch battery status on phone.
Bitdefender has a Android Wear alert, but mine has stopped working since I jumped to a Mi Max 2 (Custom Rom). Worked well with my Nexus 6.

Fossil sport - spotify and whatsapp - how to use google assistant with those

A couple of years ago I had a LG G watch R and there were things i loved and things i hated. And it was all because of the software (Wear os) and not the hardware.
Anyway, more then two years ago i sold it and went without smartwatch since then.
But, since yesterday i have the Fossil sport watch and i was hoping that wear OS made leaps forward in the two years i didn't had a smartwatch. But i got (again) a bit dissapointed. I'm a big spotify user and when using the google assistant on my smartphone i can say things like "ok google, play U2 on spotify". And sure enough, my phone starts spotify and plays U2. So i tought that if i would buy a smartwatch that I could say to the watch "ok google, play U2 on spotify" and that it would start spotify and play U2. Well, that didn't go like that yesterday after the initial install of my brand new Fossil sport watch.
My watch tells me that it can't do that. So i was wondering, if there is a software setup problem that i'm missing, or that my watch really can't open up spotify and play the requested music. Is it just me or did wear OS really not move forward in two years? I don't see much changes but maybe i need to do some more research and use the watch some more.
Also couldn't understand also why whatsapp doesn't still have a wear OS app. On my phone i can ask my google assistant to send a whatsapp message to someone, with my watch I can't do that it seems. I can send text (sms) messages fine but nothing else.
Am i really missing something? Or is it still possible to do the things i want to do.
BTW, i'm happy with the hardware, the fossil sport is a great watch, but i still think wear OS has leaps to go.
Fossil Sport
I think Fossil supports Spotify and it is WearOS so you can use the Google Assistant.
