So I now this is a very old topic but i'm trying to change my mini from german to English, I downloaded the english software and now what???
Please somebody try to help me as ditailed as posible.

Ok now serious:
- download maupgradeut_noid from the ftp & put it in an empty dir.
- unzip the english shipped-rom to the same dir.
- make a backup of everything you want to keep from your magician
- connect via usb
- execute the maupgradeut_noid twice
first execute produces an error, second should finish like an ordinary shipped-rom upgrade.
When you see the new splash after the hard-reset: smile & enjoy your english device.

so how can islove this problem and please tell me how can i do hard rest .
and can i upgrade it with 3.20.06_ENG.exe if yes please tell me steps .
first tell me how can i do hard rest.

Hard Reset can be done by unscrewing your pen and sticking twice in the little hole near the earphone connector. But entering bootloader (power button and soft reset) ha teh same effect.
You can not use the exe file for flashing directly, because flashing via exe file requires a ActiveSync connection between PC an Phone...

thanks for your replay and iam sorry for two post which i wrote i do as you tell me now iwant to flash it but i dont know how can i put it in flash mode i put it in gsm ok but computer cannot see it do inedd any driver so please replay soon

If the file is writtten in correct format on the SD Card and you enter the bootloader with the insert SD-Card, it will go automaticly in Flashmode.
If that happend not on your device, the ROM is not written correctly on the SD Card.

there is two hole near ear phone connectre do you want me topress it in the same time for secondes i pressed it but same problem

The way to do a hard reset is to remove the power of the battery. This is done by the small hole on the side of the earphone connector, marked with a battery sign.
But this will not help you. You require a SD-Card and an SD-Card writer to flash a new ROM on your device. All have already said on the first postings.

it aske me for nbi files and i dont have it so from where i can download it .
itry rest+power button then i go to flash tools and i select ce os+boot to sd and i copy it completed then i do rest i go to sd download and i download it but same problem .
so from where i can nb1 files

You can use either nb1 or nbf files. You can extract tgat file from any existing ROM in EXE-Format (using winzip) or download the nbf format from the Romkitchen for example....

As much as ii know there is no Arabic ROM available. Just english, french, spanish, iatlian, german and one chinese version.....
If you take a look at the wiki page, there can you find all available ROMs that are known to me....

I followed the instruction and got a error while write the hp6945-os.nba, now my phone halt on HP logo with 1.00.00 and 1.48NA at the lower right corner screen. How to do know? can you help?

Hi Spgi, successful recover my 6965 to 1.21UK ver now, but I am interesting in OS ROM 1.48NA from hw6945, I tried twice of your dump by aWizard, failed twice, is there any way to dump or conver the HP6945-os.nba to NBF format? Could you pls upload a NBF format ROM?
Oh, by the way, I used to dump my phone by grab_it, do you know how to write the dumped bin file back to phone? thank a lot, bro!

But actually I tried to use MTTY to make my HP6915 device to be upgraded again,apparently I failed. No! exactly was my device failed when the flash tool working. My device just lost GSM at the beginning,then I tried to fix it by flashing,but seems the USB port of device be block,the flash tool always notice :" Error:201" when upgrading
Do u have any idea to help me out of this problem?

1. Get the latest ROM for your device from HP !!
2. Create a flash.dio file with these instructions
3. Put that flash.dio on a SD card (!!!! NOT SDHC !!!!)
4. Put the SD card in your device.
5. Press action-action + reset to enter Bootloader mode according to instructions here
6. Wait end of flash
7. Clean Boot

The latest ROM I got just the 1.21 EN version for HP6915 G4,I did extract the file but I never seen "FLASH.NBF" whatever,that make me confused,u know.

Been a long time since these posts...
There's a workaround for your HP iPAQ hw6945 SERIAL/USB v.G 39 screen problem:
Disable ActiveSync, and install the GSM Radio Stack Firmware Upgrade sp35602 again, that was never mentioned in the instructions, but it sure worked, and my 6945 is now back among the living

I've been looking all over the internet for the english ROM for my ipaq hw6945 with no success. The WM in my ipaq is in spanish and all the updates for it are in english so none of the updates will install (they dont pass the validation). Is there a workarround for this? Or do you guys have a ROM in english for my device? Much appreciated!

Bad ID means that the rom isn't matching the region of the phone. Sounds to me like the CID got corrupt. You need to create a goldcard, and with that, you can write any rom from any region onto it - just like if it were hardspl'd.
I'm typing this on my phone, but look on here for instructions on how to make a goldcard: you'll need psas,google it. I own it, and can generate you the files for your sdcard's serial number..

This will only work if you have another windows mobile phone that you can put your card into. Put your card into that phone and connect it to activesync.
Run Rev Skills and select: Menu- Hardware Forensics- WINCE SD Card Utils and select 'get serial and disk ID'
When you get the disk ID, PM it to me or foil and we can generate the goldcard image for you.

Except that even mythical gold cards are device dependant, so it will look at the corrupted devID on line one of the bootloader screen and say "this isn't a hd2" and stop.

to resolve it, try installing the ms ActiveSync (for Win XP) or WMDC (Vista and Win 7) on your computer !

to flash the rom does not need to bring the device into botloader, simply connect your phone to your computer and wait until activesync /Windows Mobile Device Center admit and then run instead of .exe file (CustomRUU) at the rom

previously make sure your MicroSD has formatted to Fat32! to format a memory card you can use the SD Formatter
open your file rom with winrar, Drag and drop ruu_signed.nbh file to a folder on computer then rename ruu_signed nbh. file to TOPAIMG.nbh and copy to memory card

You can view the contents of the file and extract it using WINRAR

I Download 5 rom files when i format card using fat in this condition its showning after tri screen looding then no image found and return to tri screen . and when i format card using fat32 its showing loading then chacking then not allow then return to tri screen whats happen bro tell me thanks.

hear is video bro i format mmc with fat32 and fat (same result in both) then put rom file in root dir with change name as you given in this video after tri colour say loding then no image fond then return to tri colout screen back

Is not clear what SPL you have.
Loading then not allow means that ROM is for other country.
Also means that you don't have Hard SPL.
You can recover only with ROM for what country ID have your device.
