You ever wondered why you have a poor DAB signal?
Maybe you're using such an USB charger from hell:

I had suddenly a poor DAB signal. But not just no signal. Depending on the places I drove, DAB reception was terrible. Lots of dropouts but depending on the location I thought it was the antenna or the USB DAB box. Sometimes DAB signal was perfect and signal status indicator was dark green.
Then I removed the USB car charger. And what should I say? Perfect reception and it is again a pleasure to listen to the radio. So the interference is only a problem if the DAB signal is not 150% which makes it difficult to identify the root cause.
I have researched and there are many people who have identified a troublesome USB charger. These devices from hell are even poison for OEM head units of high-end brands like Mercedes any BMW.
Since I have not found any information in this forum, I would like to share these finding with you.
Stay healthy and drive carefully!

I've been searching the internet for the last month, searching for a solution for the poor WIFI performance of the A7HD (and many other Allwinner A10 tablets)
I've tried many different antenna designs such as:
http://fabiobaltieri.com/2012/06/02/diy-cheap-internal-wifi-antenna/
and this (without the reflector)
http://img.engadget.com/common/images/3060000000054059.JPG
i also did the original antenna mod
this:

but with all of these mods, the WIFI performance is still weak, untill i found this video on you tube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nli8nO8PNzM
this guy have gone the extra mile, and as he explained, the manufacturers had put two resistors between the antenna (positive) lead, and the ground
all i did was removing one resistor
now with the original antenna (with the original antenna mod) , i have wayyyy better WIFI, faster, and more stable, before in my next room where the router is, i was getting 1 bar of WIFI signal, now i have 3 bars, and some time 4 bars .
i didn't remove the second resistor (just as the video) but i think removing it will make it slightly better (if any one could do it and report back the results).
I have an unlocked LS980 (on CloudyG2 3.3 Lollipop 5.0.2, Dorimanx Kernel 3.4.111, and Baseband MPSS.DI.2.0.c2-00081-M8974AAAAANAZM-1). Am using it in Kenya. My phone loses 3G signal (on the Safaricom network) the moment I enter my house. I have to switch to 2G everytime I arrive at my place. Thing is, I also have a USB HSDPA dongle I use with my desktop computer on the same Safaricom network. The USB dongle reports a 3G signal strength of -76dBm

. My phone, on the other hand, (am holding it less than a foot away from the USB dongle) can't even register a very weak -113dBm signal. It just presents me with an "Out of Service" message
. I would really love to know what the problem might be, and if there might be anything I might to do remedy the situation. 2G just sucks.
You can change signal cable (black one). Probably there is a problem with it. This cables are too weak, be careful.
I've had nothing but issues with Android auto on my 2019 VW Tiguan and now it just flat out refuses to work.
Only had the car for about a month and AA worked with spotty results for that entire time. It would randomly disconnect on the head unit and I'd have to reconnect it. The other day I decided to do some troubleshooting, reinstalled and now it doesn't work at all.
Tried new cables, different USB ports and even tried my wife's S10. Both now give me the same result. I tried it again today, it turns AA on my phone but when I click the apps screen on the radio it tries to pass it to the radio, gives me a data permission popup on my screen but then gives me a read error on the radio. It keeps looping and trying to reconnect. I actually tried doing it on some rental cars I was driving a few weeks ago, wouldn't work either on those at all. I've attached the screenshot of the popup that comes up and also what my radio displays. It also displays that for my wife and her phone is bone stock and no customizations.
Any tricks to get this dumb thing to work?

Sorry to bother you guys but figured I have tried two of the resident experts on this type of stuff with no luck, and I apologize that I am not very knowledgeable on this stuff. I totally redid my 84 Monte Carlo SS both outside and now finishing up the inside of it. While doing so I came up with the idea of having a dedicated head unit run a backup camera, air ride controls, and other accessory type of stuff. While having a second unit run the stereo and front facing DVR, I thought I was all set because it had Bluetooth and I avoided the issue of having my phone run bluetooth stereo on one while the other would be able to bluetooth for the air ride.
What I currently have is these two units, JY-UOS02N4PX5S and UK-JY-UOS01P4V. The UK-JY-UOS01P4V is the unit I was hoping to run the Ridetech air ride app on to control the air ride. But I can change how I have the two setup if it would make a difference, but think they are pretty much the same specs except that the UK-JY-UOS01P4V has fast boot which is part of the reason for choosing to run it on the accessory stuff. Thanks for your time and sorry for creating another thread but have searched through and not found anything related to my specific units. Here is a pic of the basic setup of them to mimic modern cars to a point.

I own Junsun Android radio with standard I would say pinout on the back. Noticed that there is a pin for external WIFI antenna.
Has anyone tried this pin and installed external WIFI antenna?

that is great, I was just going to post it, realized this last night.
The question I have: how do you connect commercial antenna with two part ( main conductor and shielding ) to this one wire?
@wotii098
should I solder the blue cable to the center pin of the WIFI antenna?.
should the shielding be connected to the pin 9 ( GND ) ?
I didnt connect(or solder) antything to these wires. I just use them as they are and I can't complain about wifi/BT range.
