Greetings to all,
My Nexus 7 (2012) is now running Lineage 15.1 (Android 8.1).
Unfortunately when trying to install open_gapps_x86-8.1-pico-20120928.zip I receive the Error 64 Wrong architecture to set up Open GApps' pre-bundled busybox.
I have installed TWRP 3.0.2-0 to no avail.
Anu suggestions please?
Thanks in advance,
Scott
nexus 7 is arm.
And since those gapps don't have enough space, please use this one!

I have old PC with core 2duo + 3GB ram + windows 7 + usb2 port. I am unable to use this REMIX OS. After selecting guest /resident mode it stucks to "found drive" line. Nothing happens after that.
I have selected boot from FLASH DRIVE in bios. I don't knw its legacy or UEFI. Kindly help me .

Are you using a USB 3.0 pen drive? That did the trick for me, USB 2.0 would run guest mode just fine but resident mode got stuck. It takes quite a while though to boot up so be patient. I'm using a lowspec Asus with win 7 but apart from some hiccups remix feels faster than the real os.

Is your build still limited to 64bit processors like the official build?

I just flashed Resurrection Remix 7.1.2 for my Nexus 7 2012, and when I was about to install GApps from TWRP, I got Error 70 that says I don't have space in my system partition
How can I resize the partition or get Google Play without flashing GApps? Please help, thanks
Which GApps are you trying to install? Pico or nano
Usually only pico will install in most ROMS.
All other versions are too big for a Nexus 7 2012.

I have the same problem with a Nexus 2012 16go Wifi. I am a beginner.
I used :
lineage-14.1-20181016-UNOFFICIAL-grouper.zip
open_gapps-arm-7.1-pico-20200404.zip
But when I tried to install, same error 70 on Gapps package.
May be a stupid question but can I install lineage, and later instal gapps, to avoid this space problem ?
I installed finally aosp_grouper-7.1.2-ota-eng-20190610.ds.zip (smaller)+Gapps Pico, but I am interesting to test lineage.
Thank you
I have had the same problem with several roms for Grouper
Some Roms produce error: 70 when trying to install GAPPS
I think for these you must just use open source apps on Fdroid.
Id like to use Gapps though so if you know of a workaround. please inform

It's possible using a smaller ROM like : aosp_grouper-7.1.2-ota-eng-20190610.ds.zip
It's strange that the MAX3 forum is so deserted. The previous MAX2 has a lot of Android11 ROM also. The MAX2 has only 4G of running memory and can't use gesture navigation. Obviously MAX3 has more advantages. posted two ROMs LINEAGE 18.1 and ARROW, hope that the MAX3 forum will have more popularity.

The ownership of the ROM belongs to the developer! I just provide a link.
Thank you for this, Which one do you recommend? Also, what architecture of gapps should I use?

Tried them all, they're stable but I don't find them as snappy as the latest Xiaomi.Eu beta (with Paper kernel).
Tried out Havoc 4.5 for a few days. But if I tether it drops data completely. And I need tethering for work. Guess I'll try that Pixel Experience out.
EDIT: Not the ROM I guess. Same issue.

it might be rom issue after all, because most like most images are based on the same basis, probably aosp. mi max 3 also needs firmware, it is integrated but problem is related to firmware somewhow.

Every rom I tried ported by Joysko had the same issue. I ended up going w/ a Lineage 17 GSI by Andy Yan. Only issue is no notification LED, which hasn't worked on the GSI I've been using for the last 3 years anyways.

Hi,
Yes Mimax 3 is a greet phone. I'm also surprised that this forum is so deserted. Thanks for all the ROMS.
Are these GSI ROMs ?
Is there a list of what is not working for each ROM ? Or do I have to try and see ?
I'm looking for a ROM with gesture navigation.
Is there a guide somewhere explaining how I could generate a ROM by myself ?
Thank you

Tried Resurrection remix (my favorite),
Pros: battery and customization
Cons : slow and laggy
No call recording

I haven't tested so many ROMs as a user. It is recommended that you use the ROM marked as Official. At present, I am using Pixel experience without any problems. Android 10&11 are all include gesture navigation I think.
