[KB2003] Stock & Magisk patched boot.img (latest KB2003_11.C.33) - OnePlus 8T Guides, News, & Discussion

Hello everyone!
Welcome to the thread I was hoping to see every time OnePlus would release a new update... Eventually I decided to do it myself!
In the link below you can download stock & Magisk patched boot.img files of given OOS versions for KB2003 (European version). I'll basically do my best to upload the new versions as soon as they get released.
DOWNLOAD HERE
DISCLAIMER: I don't take responsibility for any bricked or broken devices.

NOTE: I upload the files everytime the OTA arrives to my phone, hence there usually is some kind of a delay. Feel free to post your images in this thread, however I won't upload them to my AndroidFileHost. I want all of them to be 100% tested to be working on my OP8T before sharing them with others. Cheers!

Boot images aren't DDR specific.
Only xbl and xbl_config are. You should find that full rom includes these as well as (for ddr5):
xbl_lp5
xbl_config_lp5

That mega link wants you to download app from playstorre..
edit :work done...downloaded it on pc
Can someone help me? When trying to flash 2.2.0 it says "The package is for "OnePlus" devices; this is a "onyx"". I vaguely remember changing the name to onyx when installing TWRP, but I don't recall how I did that...
Nevermind. did it in the end. I just flashed this version of TWRp by blu_spark ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=16464 ) and it let me flash the 2.2.0 ZIP.

[FIRMWARE/MODEM][v521] Flashable Modem ZIPs for T-Mobile LG G Pad X 8.0 (2018-06-18)

Disclaimer:
All modems listed here are specifically for the T-Mobile Version of the LG G Pad X 8.0
All modems were extracted from their respective KDZ files from LG / T-Mobile
I take no responsibility for anything that happens as a result of flashing any of these modems.
Flash at your own discretion
Instructions:
Boot into recovery
TWRP Backup your Firmware partition
Flash the modem zip file you want
Reboot
Notes:
The baseband version appears to stay the same between some security updates. As such, some of the modems will have identical baseband versions however the modems themselves do appear to be different.
Based on my testing, using a modem from a different Android version does appear to work with some quirks. The cellular radio can initialize a bit slower and can end up taking longer to get a signal. Also, the baseband version will appear as "Unknown".

Yeah...I forgot to upload them a while back. It's up now.
so here is a tough question, if anyone still has there ears on?
how do i get the 2020 security update on a rooted V521 ?
first i thought TWRP 3.1.1 might be the issue, as it ONLY lets you try V521 roms (cant try B3 roms??) so i updated TWRP to
(right pic)this was a 23 dollar used tablet from texas, , all stock firmware ( rooted device, then it took an over the air update, which fails into twrp )
(center pic) the second device is on the RR REMIX ,
(left pic) is a stock v521- rooted , i picked up for 12.00 dollars on the common" _bay" site......

i am asking, because the FEB 5th,2020 update, allows me to download all my apps from PLAY store, while the older versions refuse to let me download PAID apps . (first time i have ever had this issue)
i even tried updating TWRP to 3.2.3 but makes no change.
(i am trying to set these up for my kids, but not being able to download needed apps is a nightmare )

Thanks for this. But as a semi-noob I'm curious: do I need to flash firmware updates manually like this if I'm running Lineage OS? I know the firmware gets updated when flashing stock rom, but I don't know about custom roms.

like i said earlier that firmware versions varies from ROM to ROM
it depends on the developer of the ROM to make his build on which firmware version
and you have to ask your ROM dev for which firmware to use

Hello all.
I have OP3T and lineageOS 14.1-20170713. Latest LineageOS 14.1-20170721 need to have most probably latest firmware and modem.
Can I just download flashable zip for Open Beta 11 and flash it via TWRP and then update my current LineageOS to the latest version? Or after flashing firmware/modem do I need clear data in TWRP? Is updating of firmware/modem via TWRP connected with erasing app data and so on?
thanks
edit: works fine with latest lineageOS 14.1-20170721

[ROOT] Magisk v16.0 for Zenfone2

As you may know, Zenfone2 needs a boot signature or it will stuck at bootloader.
But the Official Magisk zip doesn't have it.
Here's the patched zip for Magisk 16.0.
Changes:
Added bootloader signature.
Removed arm, arm64, chromeos files to reduce zip size.
Kept x64 files if you build a 64bit ROM for your Zenfone2, although I didn't find any.

Sorry I didn't have one so I didn't test yet, anyway,Magisk is using boot patch to work so if you worry it may cause any problem, just backup boot partition using twrp and then flash it,if there's any issue you can just restore back。
Hi, is there any instruction?
I'm using Resurrection Remix-N 5.8.5 with custom atom kernel. Can I just reboot to TWRP and run magisk uninstaller, and then magisk 16?
Or do I have to flash rom, google, etc again?
Is this better than flashing latest official Magisk and then flash that boot signature zip from another thread?
also work for Z008D x86..tested by me..thanks
Thank you for this.
I was stuck in TWRP after installing Magisk(w/o this patch), and was panicking. Luckily stumbled on to this thread right when I was about to call it quits. Did not know about the Boot signature verification needed for ZenFone. Initially was not sure if it would work for my phone: ZenFone 2 ZE550ML / Z008D model as you had put 'Z00A' in the file_name. But it worked! Thanks again.

Magisk v16.0 in Rom Custom Mokee.
My Z00A was stuck in a bootloop after installing the official Magisk package. It kept booting into TWRP.
Your package fixed the bootloop, but I can't seem to get the SafetyNet check working.
Root access to applications work fine, but SafetyNeet is not funcitonal. Any tips on getting this to work?
Magisk is a pain in the ass... The hassle to install and etc is not worthy for such a few modules..

My Z00A was stuck in a bootloop after installing the official Magisk package. It kept booting into TWRP.

Have you enabled Magisk Hide in the settings?

Yes, it's enabled for the apps I want to hide root from, but it doesn't work. Those apps still realize the phone is rooted.

Updating M3 from B350 to latest fw

My situation is having a C100 MediaPad M3 which I "rebranded" to C128 in order to upgrade earlier to Nougat (here's the full guide I followed) which also included rooting and TWRP custom recovery.
I would ideally like to:
update from B350 to B356 on current C128 (USA) line of updates
OR
rebrand back to C100 (EU) and update to B307 (although I suspect this route will involve downgrading again which is not really ideal).
I have backed up my device with TWRP. My settings app has no system update and my OS build number is "NRDM90M test-keys", which I guess means it's not a general release version.
Anyway, I have a few questions before attempting to update:
1. will updating wipe my data i.e. factory reset?
2. what is the difference between OTA and fullOTA, and does it matter which I flash?
3. will the update work with just the most recent fw (B356), or do I need to flash each update since my fw version (B351, B352, B355 & B356?)
4. do I need to flash all three zip files for each fw?
5. will HuRUpdater be able to update this device and is it a preferable method nowadays?
Thanks

Maybe. It's depends... It's a thing specific to the firmware version you are flashing.

Of course, these are "parts" of a ROM.

Some people (me too) reported that software working well with this device.
N
I had been waiting for a while, so thank you for replying @nicolap8.
I'm thinking after a few Google searches that fullOTA is the way to go here and applying each incremental update to my ROM version.
I will also give HuRUpdater a go and see what happens. I'm not planning to do this anytime soon, but I'll update here with my results as and when something happens.

Nonsense: use last Full (311) and you don't need anything else.

I'm on 310 and the only TWRP existing here is working.
It surprise me that doesn't work on 311.

Are you sure this is correct? Remember I'm on a "rebranded" C100 device, with 350 (C128) installed, so the latest for me now appears to be 356.
The latest for BTV-W09C100 on HFF appears to be 308! Where are you guys getting 311 from?

This is the reason to write ever the FULL firmware version
I'm on BTV-DL09C100B311. Updated using HuRUpdater with FULL version downloaded through Firmware Finder for Huawei (all 3 parts).
do we have a 2019 update or has huawei cancelled the device?
