Restoring Stock Recovery - Fire HD 8 and HD 10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am trying to restore my Fire 8 (Karnak, 8th Generation) so stock. I currently have Fire OS 6.3.1.5 installed, with TWRP as the recovery. I am wanting to update FireOS to the latest version, but when I try this I get an infinite boot loop.
I suspect the problem is with TWRP being the recovery rather than the Amazon version. I found some instructions here, but when I try that I just get a "waiting for any device" message. The Fire 8 is being seen by Linux and ADB is enabled in settings on the tablet.
Can anyone point to a way I can achieve what I want please.

[Q] Rooted 6.3.1 but can't boot to recovery

I've been reading these forums for a while but this is my first post so please excuse me for noob mistakes. I am pretty much a noob to hacking though I did manage somehow to get Cyanogenmod 7 installed and running on my ancient Motorola Backflip so I am not completely a greenhorn.
I rooted my KF 9.5 a few days ago using KFU with no problems, installing TWRP recovery. All was well and I could reboot to recovery when I saw the triangle by tapping on the power key.
After yesterday's 6.3.1 update I lost root and restored it with KFU by flashing TWRP and I have root again, confirmed by being granted superuser permissions on a few apps I have that need them, like File Expert with root explorer.
When I boot my KF I see a Kindle Fire and a little green Android guy but no triangle like I saw the first time I rooted with KFU. I hold down the power button until it turns orange like I did before when I got the triangle and then my KF boots right to the normal KF boot screen. I've tried tapping on the power button and holding it down until it turns orange but I can't get into recovery mode.
Note that I also flashed firefirefire, which I did not do the first time I rooted. Is there any particular order to use in KFU to flash fff and TWRP that might have caused this problem?
Connect your KF to your PC.
Change boot mode to Recovery in KFU.
Reboot your KF (hold 20 secs).
If that won't work, you need to reflash TWRP in KFU, and try again.
Thanks very much.
First thing I am going to do now, having read a lot here, is backup in recovery just in case I screw up anything else.

that is for the 2015 shield the 2017 shield is completely different. sounds like you bricked it.
I brought mine in Nov 2016 with the old remote. I don't think it is the 2017 model
Is there any other means of putting the restore image on e.g taking out the drive and connecting it to a PC?

Fire HD 10 (2017) Deleted System Partition and Reboot - Stuck in Amazon Logo Loop

Hello all together,
i tried to install lineageOS 16 with success on a Fire HD 10 (2017) but at the end i had the problem to have no space for the Gapps. So i decided to Resize the partitions with no success. At the end i wanted to delete and recreate the System Partition when i was in TWRP RecoveryMode.
After Deleting the System Parition with "parted" i rebooted and that was a big mistake. Now i am in a Bootloop and don't know how to get in Fastboot or RecoveryMode.
Here in the board is mentioned that i have to opened it. Now the Fire HD is opened in front of me at my Desk but i don't know what to do.
Can you help me?
Best regards
Goschi
Ugh.. just did something similiar.. rooted with kingoroot, installed twrp apk, manually pushed recovery.img without unlocking bootloader, now my suez is stuck on fire logo.. were you able to figure it out? I can access adb sideload in default recovery thats about it... obviously factory reset does nothing for me
same here was working fine left it alone for a few days and I'm in the same boat.
starting to look like no one can help
