So my buddy's SM-A205U had recently gotten upgraded to android 10 but he's experiencing an issue where the main camera is not being detected anywhere. I tried to factory reset the device and no luck. And as far as I know downgrading with ODIN and ADB is looking terrible since there is no OEM Unlocking for this model. Has anyone also experienced this issue? And is there a way too resolve it? His Metro By T-Mobile warranty has expired so replacement model isn't an option.

Hi,
My friend's S4 GPE lost its IMEI after installing the official OTA from Google. The phone was not rooted or modified in any way before the update.
I've searched high and low but none of the fixes appear to work for the Google Edition.
I've tried QPST, EFS Pro, NV_Items_reader. All of them suffer the same problem. the phone rejects the SPC code. I have no idea what the correct SPC would be or even why there would be one since the phone is not network locked.
The only thing I've not tried is a Z3x box, but it's expensive and I'm not sure it'll work for the GT-I9505G since their site only mentions the GT-I9505.
Returning the phone to Google is not really an option since he bought it while traveling to the USA.
Has anyone else experienced the same problem?
Thanks.

Yep, appears to be the unknown baseband issue. Unfortunately the thread you pointed me to does not refer to this issue.
I've searched high and low, there appears to be no known fix for the S4 GPE
Hey there,
Long time admirer, not a big poster. More of a reader. I couldnt find anything relevant to my question hence the thread.
So from what Ive gleaned on xda the G935 version can be rooted, my question is can I bypass a carrier lock through a custom ROM or would this be possible just by rooting?
A friend has a G935 that has been blocked to Optus and I was wondering if I could help him resolve the issue and help him bring it over to Telstra by some "black magic" as he calls it.
Thanks in advance for any responses
any suggestions, i have the same issue
Ive tried unlocking rooted phones before myself with no luck. Not sure if its possible without some special hardware and programs. There is a guy on here that has unlocked my sprint s7e and lg g5 before. He hooks up to u remotely and runs a program. I think he charges 15$ and it works 100% till u factory reset. Search "sprint unlock" and u will prob run across a couple of his threads. U can ask him if your model is compatible with his method
He can unlock without rooting your phone
So I bought my friend a used S5 Neo on ebay, but it seems the phone has been tampered by the previous owner which wasn't mentioned in the description.
This is the link to the auction of the phone: http://www.ebay.com/itm/201698895221?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
I'm trying to help her reflashing the factory image. There is some things I know and don't know,
What I do know is:
- It is a SM-G903W (from Canada)
- the UPC is: 887276127293
- Attempting to update the phone to the latest OTA update failed
What I don't know is:
- The CSC of the phone or installed firmware
- The Region or Carrier the phone originally came with
- if it was originally locked or unlocked or has been unlocked afterwards
Is there a way to find this out when the phone is not able to boot? download mode obviously still works.
I already messaged the seller and I'm waiting for an response.
Also I am in Germany and can help my friend only over chat or voicechat.
Nevermind. Kies fixed it all.
Data is lost or still intact?

Hi guys,
I have a SM-G950U1 phone, and for a few weeks, the camera works only 1 time out of 10. And without any appearing reason.
I tried to reset the phone to factory parameters, it didn't solve the problem.
I thought it was a misconnection of the hardware, but after openeing the phone I didn't see anything weird.
I would like to flash a new firmware on the phone. But I am currently living in Europe and all the firmware I found are American.
I don't know if I flash one of those firmware it will still be working here...
Any thought about that ?
Thank you
I recently flashed this device with the official ROM, which was from android 9 to android 11, but I fell into a hiccup. The phone lost the capability of receiving network, it does detect the sim card but it's not receiving service. I did my research and I realized the IMEI has changed. So I have gone through tons of forums and found out the best way is through an application called Chimera but I can't find a cracked version. If anyone else has a different opinion or way to tackle this I will highly appreciate on your input. Thanks.
